Hello all,
my name is Brandon and I am new here on the forums. I guess I should start this post by telling my story and explaining how this all leads to provari.
So, my wife (aleksa) and I are currently expecting our first boy on March 5th. When we first found out, I knew I had to quit smoking. I was smoking roughly 2 packs a day and they are crazy expensive in Chicago! $12-13 a pack. Not only was this terrible for our budget, but it was also starting to click with me health wise. I am only 20 years old, but I could already sense the "fatherly" instincts kicking in. I never had a dad growing up, and didn't meet him until I was 18 (alcoholic deadbeat), so I knew I wanted to be around a really long time for my boy. I wanted to quit cigarettes. I kept putting it off for months and months. Until finally, 3 months ago, I stopped by a little ecig store and tried out an ego. I only had one experience with electronic cigarettes and it was a bad one (busted out $150 for a mall kiosk crap stick). I was extremely impressed with the ego though. I knew I could quit cigarettes and vape this. So I picked up an ego c twist style battery and an evod. I immediately stopped smoking. Cold turkey. This was amazing. For the past three months, I've started to advance my knowledge on ecigs and began to expand my collection. I upgraded to a Kanger protank mini, got a Kanger protank 2 and was even beginning to steer into the direction of carto tanks. My wife has been incredibly supportive, despite our crappy financial situation. She would put aside $10 bucks a week that I could spend on a vaping. Up until a few days ago, I had a very nice little collection going on of various egos, and different tanks and juices. I kept these all in my backpack. I had a very nice little set up where everything was portable and could fit into my backpack. So a few days ago, we had a beautiful day in Chicago, despite these months of freezing temperatures. So, I decide to take my niece to the park, since she really hasn't gotten to play outside this winter. We had a blast for the three hours we were there. I decide it's time to go, so I venture back to the bench that had my backpack on it... And it was gone. I had no clue what happened. Or who took it. All I know was that my backpack was gone. I didn't think much of it since all I had in there were some school notebooks and a couple of books. Then I realized all of my vape gear was in it. I was devastated. The worst part was, I had just stopped at a vape shop and picked up my first pack of cartomizers and a tank for them. I take my niece home, stop at the 7-11 for a pack of Marlboro 27s, go back to the house and tell aleksa what happened. She saw how devastated I was, and felt incredibly bad for me. I figured, I would just start week by week again with the $10 a week and build my way back up. So, I was in my office at home, and I get an email. It was from my wife. I open the email, and it is an order number from the provape website. I go into the bedroom and ask her what she ordered. Turns out, she decided to give me my birthday present early by buying me a provari! My birthday is not until march 24th. I asked her how she knew I wanted one? Her reply? "Well Brandon, every time I sat down on the computer, there was a YouTube video of a person reviewing the provari... And you had a tab open browsing their website...every...time"
so now, my new provari is on it's way to me and a friend donated an old protank to me. So now at least, I have something to vape! And something nice I must add! Over time, I will build my collection back up, but for now, I couldn't be happier. I have the best wife in the world, my son is to arrive any day now, and my life is Perfect. I am so excited to become a part of the provarinati, and I just felt like sharing my story with you guys. I will upload a picture when my provari gets here.
Until next time,
Brandon

That is such a great story!!! your wife is awesome to surprise you like that- what's even better is that she was actually paying attention to you and knew what you wanted!!
When it comes to vaping, in my opinion, it doesn't get much better than a ProVari. In fact I don't think it gets ANY better for me!!
The community here is awesome! If you ever need help or have questions just ask!!
Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love it! My suggestion is try to get an MVP 2 for a back up also or at least a Vision Spinner so you are not left in the cold again if something happens. The good thing about a MVP 2 is its the closest thing to me vapewise to a Provari and it doesn't require externa l batteries. 101 Vape has them at a good price if they ever get them back in stock.

Congratulations on the super supportive wife (which btw I know what a difference that makes as mine is very supportive of my vaping as well) and the new baby (We're not there yet, but someday)... and welcome to the family. I for one would be willing to wager that after using the ProVari you wont be quite as determined to spend lots building back your collection.... but you will probably want a bunch of different tanks and what not for it.

Happy early birthday! Do you need a topper? I have a protank2 just in the bin with some spare heads. I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping. Like 2.50. Pm me if your interested. I would love to help if I can. Congrats on the new provari!

Brandon, being new to the forums you'll soon realize that pretty much everybody espically here in the ProVari sub forum are willing to help any way they can, also a great many people here on ECF are all about PIF (Pay It Forward) it's really an awesome community and I really don't know how I would have figured out half of what I have in vaping knowledge with out the ECF.
