the signature Halo flavor has a solvent-like quality to it. To some it's extremely off-putting, like vaping nail polish remover. I detect it, but it never overwhelms and the other characteristics of the juice hit the right buttons for me. Torque, Freedom and Tribeca have it the strongest.

Their newest flavor Midnight Apple is dynamite. Like vaping a Mexican apple soda with the performance traits of Torque 56. It's a big bottle juice for me for sure.

I'm desparate!!! I've heard a LOT about halo tobacco juices.

My ADV is VS Phoenix. And he's been out for a while.

Can anybody compare any of Halo's juices with Phoenix? I'm tempted to try torque 56 and prime 15. I need strong TH. Not so concerned about flavor, but don't care for woody, grassy, tobacco leaf flavor. I like it to taste as close to smoke as possible.

Thanks.

My take on Halo is that they're the only vendor smart enough to make juice the Chinese way, and do it right. There is not one drop of off the shelf flavoring in any Halo juice. All of this stuff was cooked up in a lab with a flavoring chemist making these recipes for them. None of Halo's juice tastes like natural tobacco BUT, most if not all of their juice recreates some aspect of the experience we're trying to recreate. Halo juice also sets the high watermark for throat hit, and if you're like me and need big throat hit then there is already Halo juice in your rotation.

I have a huge amount of respect for Halo and their product. This is a smart company. They are not a cookie cutter supplier, doing the same thing everyone else is, and their juice is clean burning and satisfying. They are the one juice that I would never be without for my own personal use. I've vaped Halo for over a year, and they've been the only juices that I never get sick of.

Well stated. Halo was my first liquid, and nothing else has come even close. There is definitely an undertone to Halo's liquids, but at least it is not that horrible perfumy taste so many other juices have. Halo is the cleanest tasting juice I have ever found. My all day everyday for over 14 months now.

Yes, Dr. V, you nailed it and win the kewpie doll---those are precisely the three Halo juices I've tried. Someone sent me a sample of Tribeca (which I felt was a truly great RY4-variant, except for my reaction to the signature base), and I have 30ml bottles of Torque and Freedom (which I didn't like at all) languishing in my juice cellar. I've had no adequate language for describing the flavor that's not pleasant to me until you used the word "solvent." Then my neurons lit up. Acetone! To me, the underflavor tastes like acetone smells.

How very human that for some people, a little of that sparks the brain to conjure up "pure, fresh, clean," while for others of us it cross-references "lacquer-thinner."

Midnight Apple sounds good---can't go wrong with spiced Granny Smith. I'm a little too gun-shy to jump in for a 30ml bottle, but if I get the chance to sample some, I will.

I think that if you like vaporstation juices.... then you will like Halo, TW juices and nHaler Octane juices... not entirely different... more of a real cig than a leafy/grassy tobacco.

I vaped a lot of phoenix in my day... and feel comfortable with this recommendation...

I hear that. I always go back to my Malibu or Trupure which are both great.

Prime 15 and Torque 56 get the most mileage for me.
They're the most like a cigarette to me... not so much in the flavor, but in throat hunt and virtual smoker's satisfaction.

I vape Prime 15 the most. It's the closest thing to an ADV by Halo for me.

I also like Malibu Menthol, Smooth 8, Captain Jack... getting used to Midnight Apple which seems like a slightly lighter Torque 56 with some green apple candy flavor... My only problem with Midnight Apple is that the Apple flavor lingers a bit too long for my liking.. Not as bad as some menthols, but it's good to have some w2v atty cleaner handy for this.

As a new vaper, that is trying to quit analogs (so my taste buds are probably fried).... I have tried Menthol Ice, Tiki, and Malibu so far (Tribecca is coming tonight).

My take:

Menthol Ice most DEFINATELY reminds me of smoking a menthol camel. Great if you love the type menthol in them...but not my cup of tea. Tastes too much like a Andes mint you get from Olive Garden. I prefer the menthol in Marlboro (my soon to be former brand). I think I will be trying the other menthols HALO offers.

Tiki... not bad. Good tobacco flavor going on the inhale and a slight fruity punch flavor on the exhale. Interesting...will definately vape more before I come to a conclusion.

Malibu.... wow.... LOVE IT. Menthol flavor on the inhale that lingers on the exhale...and the exhale brings on a Pina colada/coconut after taste. NICE.... will be ordering a 30ml of this while its 15% off thru the 3rd of Jan.

Tribecca ..... something isnt right.. Either my tastebuds are whacked or I taste a strong nutty aftertaste with this. Not sure I like it...will have to vape more to decide.

Being as I have no other expereince with other e-liquids, I hope halo isnt spoiling me with thier TH. I ordered the 18mg Nico...and good thing I didnt get the 24mg. MY GOODNESS... if I take a full 5 second pull...at times I struggle not to cough with the TH (if that is what a good TH does).

Thats a newbie take.... I know probably not as sophisticated as some of you would review flavors.

Nicely done review, especially for a noob, FAA! :)

Yes, your taste buds will slowly heal/recover over the next few months, so don't be surprised when juices you love now lose their appeal, and juices you hate now suddenly seem delicious . . . also, don't forget that fresh (USA) juices nearly always need to steep 2-4 weeks to become true vaping nirvanas. :)

I love vaporstation and Halo just wasn't my style. I can see the similarities in clarity and quality, but they didn't scratch my itch.

Experimenting with lower nic juices before bedtime (can't sleep), I just bought 18 bottles of 6mg juice through the classies, and one of them is a 30ml bottle of Halo Tiki. I had heard about Halo Tiki before, but never tried it until tonight...and it's making me HAPPY! :)

DARN GOOD vapor and flavor. Not much throat hit, but I'm thinking that goes with low nic? I would never recognize it as a tobacco flavor, but I def experience a 'fruitiness' on the exhale; very SMOOTH vape with a lingering (and pleasant) after taste.

Only thing I know for sure, I HAVE to try more Halo juice!

BTW - the idea of 'CEDAR' flavor initially sounds appealing to me, but NOT if it's like 'Pine Sol' or 'Bug Spray'. (Yeeech!)

Haven't had the chance to check out freedom juice since it's sold out often enough, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who enjoys Smooth 8 and Prime 15. Still trying to sort out my feelings on the rest of the sampler I got, I don't hate any of it, but am iffy on torque 56 and have yet to try midnight apple.

Favorites so far have to be Smooth 8, Prime 15, and Tribeca.

Also, has anyone checked out Gunslinger from V4L? I just couldn't get myself to finish a tank of that.

Edit:
Does anyone else get a kind of sweet honey(ish) kind of flavor off most of Halo's tobacco flavors?

I really wanted to like Halo.. I keep trying them over again. The quality is just undeniable, but for some reason they don't ring my bell :|

Have you tried their Tribeca? I think it's their best. If you haven't, give them one last chance. :) If you don't then Halo definitely isn't your cup o tea. :)

Sorry for the question...........may seem silly as I am a noob but what do you mean by steep??
