Yah, I asked, our local Ace isn't very helpful, they said 30 bucks for a 10 ft stick of 3/4" .. no we don't sell short pieces!

Guess I can ask a local plumber, bet I can get scraps, brainstorm!!!!

Home Depot sells 2 ft lengths, $9 and change. The staff aren't helpful and my Home Depot kept it half way down the isle from the 10 ft lengths so be prepared to hunt for it.

Don't get into a fist fight with the construction worker for stealing their Mongo. That's $$$$$ to them

I've seen fights between electricians over the scap copper wiring. It could run into several hundred dollars on a site.

I agree, so have I.

However, I never said anything about steeling it.:lol::lol:

Nice going Al, good thinking.
Question, when an intruder breaks in and you go for the shotgun..... oopps, It's minus a part, you'll have to club him over the head with the Copper mod...

LOL .. actually it was a spare part left over, when my son in law got a tube extension it came with a longer spring, used his old one

Now that this has been in use a while, I was wondering if the spring moving around.d the battery causes a lot of wear on the battery. Can anyone using this mod or one with a wrap around and moving spring like it please comment on that? That was what initially concerned me about the idea and I moved on to other things. I have just now come across a tube perfect for this setup and I came right back to it.

Hi Tarnacc

I wonder about that myself, I have a copper mod that uses a section of an 870 shotgun spring around the 18650 battery. I was concerned about wear on the outside of the batt, but honestly I have so many mods that I rarely use that one. I will have to give that some more thought. If you rip thru the plastic batt covering, you could break the protection circuit.

Well im married to a lic. plumber and I still had to go to HD. Got the copper tube guess its 2ft for 7 something then the end caps .99 each. What I need to know is how are yall making this flush... I mean with the end caps on it has the ridge... I was wanting to make it all the same diam. from top to bottom. Is there something to slide over to meet the end caps. I am also going to go back tom. to get the fitted end cap for the atomizer to go on instead of using the end cap.

The part that makes it all flush with the end caps is called a sleeve I think. It fits over the pipe for joining two pieces. Now, what is this "fitted end cap for the atomizer to go on instead of the end cap."?

yea the only sleeve I found was about 2inches long... but I wanted it longer and they said they dont make them longer. The fitted end caps go on the end well the top but its flat on top and it goes INSIDE the copper tube instead of over it like the caps do. then it sets flush with the top.
Those were 4something almost 5.00. Maybe that is what I had seen or what I am thinking it could be. Well no cause then the bottom would still have the lip on it from the cap....hmmm well heck. I need to figure the sleeve out .....

I use a couple of sleeves held together with pieces of the pipe and cut the top end cap to make the length I want for a 18650. You only need one sleeve and the end caps for a 18350. I got the idea from Breaktru and he said he got it from someone and so on....You should take a look at his copper mods, they're outstanding.
