Order 11733. It arrived Friday, worked like a champ then and Saturday, and was dead this morning. I've tried three different atomizers on it. It wasn't left plugged in when not in use.

The LED blinks when it first gets plugged in, but does not light when the atomizer (any of them) is 'puffed'. Sounds like a switch issue to me, but I can't seem to do anything about it.

What actions can I take to get it working/get it replaced?

Thanks,

David

I suggest you e-mail them. I am not sure about mine still as the batteries seem to work better but at least mine are working atm.

I'll probably end up doing so, but I know they read the forums pretty regularly, and someone may have a fix. I saw the other thread about folks having an issue with the pen style pass-through, but their fix seems to lie in the atomizer connection, not the switch.

That may have been one of the threads I started. It sounds similar anyway. I e-mailed them day before they moved (right after I received it) and joanne helped me out alot. Said they would ship one before thety moved.. (guess I need to check the office here for any packages) I could send the defective one back after they got settled. They really do seem to help with problems with the components.

Good luck.

Did you try sucking on just the battery.....no atomizer?

Lu

Hmmm.. I tried blowing through it from the LED side until I was light-headed, but didn't try the 'suck' method. I'll give it a shot.

Actually, I did try sucking on it to see if the LED would come on... but not enough to try to clear it. The LED didn't come on when I did that.

Thanks. That's what I'm hoping for, as I don't have the package it shipped in any longer.

I just had this problem the other day with my penstyle. I took a pair of needlenose pliers, small one, and gently tugged and twisted on the little protuburance on the atomizer. I do mean gently. I was so frustrated that I had a new toy and it didn't work. Well to my surprise it worked! But I do think I got a couple of defective atomizers with my kit so will talk to Puresmoke when they get set up. I've had to do this a couple of times since so I think the connections on my atomizers must be loose. One person said that they keep 1 atomizer solely for the passthrough. The light on my passthrough was doing the exact same thing as yours. Hope this helps.

I saw that solution for you on the other thread... but I've tried every atomizer I have, including several that hadn't been used at all yet. No joy. The problem has got to reside in the pass-through... and I'm almost certain it's the switch.

I had same problem and returned it for a new one. Haven't tried that one yet cuz I got 2 from other places in the meantime and they are still working. Once in a while, it will quit for no reason, and I found that shaking it, or tappng it against your palm led up makes it snap out of it. You can feel the insides moving when you shake it hard enough.... I also blow in the holes in the led, and wipe the hole side because juice is getting in there (and store it led up).

Store? What is this 'store' of which you speak? Mine is not in use when I fall asleep and it falls out of my mouth.

J/K. Thanks for the advice :)

LOL, I get that! Usually after my brain is so numb I can't see straight, I have to pry the thing from my mouth and take it apart so I can't use it....and then it goes upside down in the drawer so no dogs can find it while I'm passed out....lol

the best way to improve the life of your passthrough is to reinforce the cable that comes out of the cherry with heat shrink or electrical tape. You can't see the cherry, but if you don't do this then the cable will inevitably get ruined by being bent and twisted. Ruined two passthroughs this way before i figured it out.
