My Vamo is indeed the Chrome, no biggie for me 
And man it is a Fingerprint magnet! Good thing I order my JWraps, going to put it on soon! Glad I got the Vamo at a low price!

I received my order today for two more of the SS Vamos. They are in fact chrome and not SS. They have the new dark screen and work well so I will be keeping them.
The SS is shine polished, i got one from myvaporstore i paid a little more but got the real SS flawlessly, looks like chrome but no fingerprints not sure is this is a way to check if is achrome or SS but if i look inside the extension tube i can see clearly the rough SS, so since chrome is a plated prosses maybe you will see the tube chromed inside the chrome version..
For sure the stainless steel confuse me at first because the shiny chrome look alike, but have non a single fingerprint. I contact myvaporstore and they confirm that SS is a chrome look alike but since is not coated just polished you will not get loose your shiny finish, also can be polished if is scrashed

Vamo "SS" arrived today. Clearly chrome, but in perfect working order with not a blemish on it.
I stand corrected. It is SS. I tried a magnet on mine and it won't stick. It sure looks like chrome.
I will not trust on magnet,, my non SS twist , my chrome protank and my chrome evic tube are also not magnetic, take a look inside the removable battery tube and tell me if is a rough metal look or chrome in the inside?

Here you can see is not shiny polished inside, my chrome evic tube does not look like brushed like the vamo in the inside
I think the best way to find is by fingerprints. My VAMO cant pick any fingerprints

Just compared the inside battery compartment to my known SS model. They are the same. No finger prints on the tube parts but I do believe that the bottom battery cap itself is chrome. Very shiney on the inside of it.
Yes i think the battery cap is chrome, mine does pick fingerprints, not like the rest of the VAMO

Just took my tube apart and the cap will in fact stick to a magnet while the tube will not. I'm good with what I got.
I did try also, the cap stick in mine to the magnet with the spring on, if i took out the sping i feel a very wierd magnetic field inside the cap,,

If you bought the kit that includes Panasonic CGR18650CH's they don't say Panasonic on them. they look just like the photo here:

The Fast Tech batteries look identical to the Panasonic CGR18650CH's I got from Orbtronics and nHaler. Those don't say Panasonic on them either. I would seriously doubt that either of those places are selling counterfeits.
My new vamo has the brushed look inside, but the outside is like a mirror and picks up every little print. Maybe they just shined the hell out of it.
Thats has the OLED screen? No way, oh I'm jealous, when did they start coming with them.... ?????
