I just wanted to share my history with you. I'm 51, and stopped smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day, the day I started vaping. The date I quit and started vaping was September 9, 2016. I walked into a vape shop that day, bought 2 of everything because my wife quit vaping that day too. She had been smoking for 36 years prior to quitting. I bought 2 Kanger Box 200's, 2 Aspire Nautilus tanks, coils, 4 batteries and 18mg nicotine liquid. I bought 5 different flavors of eliquid, because I had no idea which one I would like. I went home, set everything up, had 1 last cigarette, then started vaping. That night I through away a half of a pack of cigarettes, and never smoked again.

After using the Nautilus for a month or so, my wife still needed something with a little tighter draw. So, I purchased a Nautilus mini and 2 pocket X devices. These really helped my wife and made traveling in the car a lot easier. As I continued vaping I eventually moved up to an Aspire X. This product allowed me to start vaping direct lung. I still love MTL mouth to lung vaping, and that's the only way my wife will vape. But, I enjoy the direct lung vape better. That's when I purchased a super tank. That took some getting use too. I had the airflow very low for a long time but I got use to it. I eventually got both myself and my wife down from 18mg nicotine to 12mg, then 6mg and finally 3mg.

After the Super tank I went and bought a Clieto 120. I purchased some Vapofi stick type devices too. Like I said, my wife will only mtl vape, so we kept trying other things. My batteries I purchased were Sony VCT 4's, and eventually VCT 5's. Yes I also purchased a Nitecore charger that charges 4 batteries at once. I should buy a 6 or 8 base charger, but I haven't done that yet. We have made quite a few purchases since we started vaping, and it seems quite costly, but that's really not the case. Between my wife and I, and living in Michigan, cigarettes are very expensive. For us, we smoked approx. 25 packs of cigarettes a week. Buying cartons, that's around $150/wk. That's around $600/month. So, purchasing vaping products turns out to be much less than smoking. At least for us.

Today I have many atomizers. I have RDA's, RDTA'S and tanks. My wife is currently using the Nautilus 2 and the Eleaf Melo mini 3. I am vaping right now the Gaia RDTA on the Voopoo Drag. And, the Recoil Rebel in squonk mode on the Steam Crave Squonk device. We have tried numerous juice products, and we still haven't decided which one should be a regular vape. We buy cheaper products, but OM vapors has really been a good vape lately. I build my own coils. I know my Ohm's law, and I feel like more of an advanced vaper, at this point. I don't build aliens, or anything like that, but I get it. We both have come a long way while vaping. And the best thing is, we are smoke free. We feel the difference. We sleep better, we aren't winded walking up and down stairs and we feel like we got the gorilla off our backs. Vaping saved our lives and we will continue to vape for as long as we want too. Feel free to say hi, and happy vaping to everybody.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I went to your final stage post and was rewarded with one reading. Great story/decision, I bet with all those purchases you are healthier and have much more discretionary income. Thank you for sharing.
