Hi all! Just a quick post to introduce myself.
I've been a kretek/clove smoker since I was about 17-18 years old (I'm turning 30 this year). Though I loved smoking, I never liked the aftertaste so always had a drink or gum or something to get the ashtray taste out of my mouth. Despite that, I identify as a smoker and thought I'd always be a smoker, even if I quit.
Last fall I married my partner of nearly a decade. In the midst of all the planning I took the time to make it clear to my photographer-friend that I did not want photos of myself smoking at my wedding. Period. Well, that proved difficult! I really wish I'd discovered vaping before the wedding but there is no point to being all Captain Hindsight now. Next time
After my honeymoon I quit smoking and started working on my performance troupe's winter show AND started school after a decade hiatus. Whoa. 2 months before the show I was really starting to feel the hook of addiction dig in when I went to a troupe party. Lo and behold, one of my bros had gone digital. I decided that instead of going outside to smoke (ahem, this was in the middle of winter in Montreal) I would bum drags off my kindly brother performer for as long as he'd tolerate. I never went outside.
The next week my husband and I ordered the TGo kit from Apollo. I've never looked back. I'm a vaper now.
