I've heard of people putting cylinder heads in a dishwasher and loading it up with simply orange instead of the powder... Guy swears it worked better than a hot tank! Personally, I say you can't argue with results.

Exactly. All I know is that it was too hot to bow hunt, wife was at work and i was bored so i decided to do a major strip down of the guns and clean them vs the normal field strip. Its surprising how much gunk you miss just doing a field strip.

For whats its worth, I think this is the cleanest my xd's have ever been.

And while I was waiting for the guns to be washed I even made dinner like a good husband. Beef and Venison Chili....Delicious! I used the last 2 packages of venison I had though. Time to restock the freezer.
