Nails growing faster?

I have been smoke free for over a month now and it may be my imagination, but I swear that my fingernails and toenails are growing faster now. It seems like I have been clipping them more than normal. Did smoking slow down my nail growth?? Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Yeah I noticed the same thing not long after I quit smoking for vaping.

Huh, come think of it, I do believe so. lol Its a good sign I guess. Now that the body doesnt have to get rid of all those toxins, finger nail growth (amongst other things) can go back to normal.

I've noticed that my nails grow faster since vaping. I play guitar and I have to clip them short, so it's noticeable.

Now that you mention it, my nails are not only growing faster but they seem to be much stronger. I am a classical and fingerstyle jazz and celtic guitarist and get a little paranoid about my nails.

A positive side effect. Strange, some of my older guitars still have a smoky smell to them which I never noticed before.

ive noticed the same thing...ive also noticed that when i brush my teeth, i dont gag when i brush the back ones? and if you ask around, im guessing the nails arent the only thing that grows faster. ;-)

Could be. Although some say that nails and hair grow faster anyway during the summer, maybe because of a better diet. No idea if that's true though. It also seems that nails and hair grow faster when you cut them more often.

My hair and nails have grown faster since I started vaping in June...6 inches of additional hair length and that is with a 1/2 trim every month since October.

This could become interesting. I am 7 months into a "not cutting my hair for a year" deal. I have been vaping for a month and a half now, but I have not really noticed quicker hair growth. I may end up with shoulder length hair by the time the year is up.

And this deal is just because I work with so many ex-military people and they keep that high and tight look. Here I am pushing 60 and I am generating this ex-hippie look just to be out of step with the world. /\

I haven't noticed this myself, but it does make sense if you're vaping a low or zero-nic juice. Cutting out nic or lowering your nic intake will definitely improve circulation and the delivery of nutrients. Also, both hair and nails are composed of the keratin so it's not surprising that some people have notice changes in both.

i wish my nails would grow faster & be stronger. i'm 5 1/2 weeks in, & haven't noticed it yet. i don't want my hair to grow faster though. i like it really short, & i hate paying for haircuts.

i have noticed that the dark circles under my eyes look lighter to me. i might just be imagining it though. (i'm one of those people who always looks like i've been in a fight) i think my circulation is better now, & that could be the why.

5 weeks is not time enough to see some changes ,time will tell you
