I bought 3 Nano Clearomizer http://smokelessimage.com/filter-tips/clearonano/nano-cartomizer.html from Smokeless image. I just filled one with MBV USA Blend Tobacco the USA has been a sort of licorice tasting in my cartomizers and for the first few drags off the Nano Clearomizer. After the first 7 or 8 the taste changed to a different flavor. Do these little guy's have a burnable wick?
I have a budget so even at a couple bucks I just can't toss the juice and Nano Clearomizer, or do you think it's possible that the USA blend has finally steeped and taken on the tobacco flavor.
I can't say that the taste is "burnt" but it is odd to me.
This is my first time using the Nano Clearomizer and also the juice. The juice has been steeping since the 28th of last month. And I did shake it well before filling the Nano Clearomizer.

Its been a few hours and I'm pretty sure it actually is burnt, is there any way to recover it?

do you know resistance of coils and what voltage you are running them at?

Sometimes that "hot metal" taste means coils are getting too hot but without knowing what volts/resistance not sure

Might try rinsing it out with as hot a water as you can run thru it, or boiling it, or soaking it in alcohol

Those are unserviceable so once they burn...might have to chuck it and get another one

Can't say for the juice, never tried it nor the nanos since I'm unfamiliar with them changing flavors on peeps. They say Clearomizers but they look like mini disposable carto tanks??? Weird. Did you try setting it down for a few minutes and then trying it again? Maybe it's just wicking. Could use primer pulls too.

You can obviously pour the liquid back out, preferably into a separate container than the MBV bottle. Find another device to try it in, such as an atty or RDA if you've got either. See how the flavor compares.

I used to use Nano's, and there was a distinct taste - PLASTIC to me - that would last about 1 fill-up, then fade away.
And it occurred with about 1/3 of the Nano's I used - regardless of who I bought them from.
Never found a way around it - washing them is no good, as they're impossible to dry, besides, a wash seemed as often as not, to kill the Nano completely...

Hi

Nanos are bottom-coil, so do have a tiny wick in the head at the bottom. You can rinse them out and soak them to see if it helps. I air dry clearos, but some people dry burn. You might check youtube to see if there's a video about cleaning them. There seems to be a video for just about everything.

Personally, when I was using clearos, I ended up just dedicating a clearo to one flavor, or similar flavors, like one for fruit, one for mint, etc. No matter how I cleaned them they never tasted quite the same afterwards.

The clearos I ended up using the most were CE3 Xls, which I still use sometimes. They come in a 5-pack, so end up being a bit less expensive.

For those unfamiliar - it is a disposable clearomizer, I think only available in 1.8 ohm.
I used them when I had 510 stick batteries, and liked it better than carto's.
You keep refilling til they don't work anymore - sometimes just a few fills (1 ml), sometimes longer.
Then you chuck it, cause you can't get to the coil.

Here's a mini-Ego battery with a Nano on the left...

You get get the Nano in higher res, somewhere in the 2s, but the OP is using SI, so they are stuck with what they can find in 808.

Sometimes the Nano's come shipped with a small amount of preservative liquid in them. I can't recall if SI's Nano's come this way or not. You could post a question in their Supplier Forum here, and someone more familiar with those specific clearos can assist you.

As The Ocelot said, Nano's are bottom coiled/bottom wicked, and do benefit from allowing the juice a few minutes to soak up the juice before vaping. You may have burnt the wicks by not waiting long enough.

my gf used nanos for a while and the method of filling that i found to work best for her is to fill the nano, then place your finger over the bottom air hole and take a sharp draw from teh mouthpeice. youll see tiny bubbles rise from the hole inside the clearo. this is letting you know the liquid has soaked into that bottom base wher ethe coil sits. there is also a slight bit of filler material in here and it needs to be soaked to provide a good tasting hit. keep drawing until the air bubbles stop, or until you get a very slight gurgle. now the nano is primed and ready to vape. OP, im afraid you *might* have singed the filler material in the base of the nano. if so, its toast. but you might be able to salvage it. draw some liquid inot the coil area with the mehtod i described and you just might have a vapable nano. if not, take it as a lesson learned and youll be off to the races in no time.

also, do not dry burn a nano. there is filler in there that cant handle a dry burn and will singe, just like a carto will with not enough juice.

Hey guys!
Thanks for all the replies um I've since determine that the cart is burnt, I don't think it was burnt wasn't too badly because the simple solution was to fill it up with the extreme ice from MBV which is a very very strong mint/menthol. I meant I can't taste burnt anymore because that mint just over powered it! its like a halls cough drop actually without the medicinal taste.
As to what voltage I ran it at, I'm using a generic kr808-d1 so no more than 4.2 straight from the charger more likely in the 3.6 range.
Yes I know I need to step up to a better mod and I'm going to when I can afford it unfortunately I live on a budget that most people couldn't even survive on so it's going to take time.
