just curious if anyone else ever wrapped a nano on a paper clip found it to now be my favorite build

i bet you could get some more vapor if you did it as a dragon coil with the wick on the outside. with the micros you are going to need a lot of wraps to get your resistance up.
What gauge? How many wraps on the paperclip? what was your final resistance?

Ive done this and really like it. I only had 32g so its really really small but im gonna get some 30g or maybe 28 to see how that goes
For everyones knowledge it's not called a dragon coil... It technically should be called the Dragon Wick. It's just a nano coil with a new wicking style that makes it spit the vapor out as if it were a dragon's nostril. Just did one last night and it kicks out some serious vapor.
Same thing... Rip Trippers and others that have the videos online all call them a Dragon Coil but yes the only difference is that the wick is wrapped around the outside of the coil and one end is blocked leaving only one hole of the coil to spew serious amounts of vapor. I did dual dragon coils/wicks on a trident and it was insane.
Yep. If you looked at iTeo ( the Creator of the "dragon Coil " ) He has a totally different wicking style than rip. So technically it's not the same Lol

I thought it was me too, I had the same issue with my nano on my Trident clone...
Once you wrap it right, big ol difference. I tried a bunch of times with the wicking process but this thing is right behind my W3 with a quad coil inside. Just takes some practice. Gauge wire you use will have a factor as well as the airflow.
Had to look that one up.
BTW - I really hate you right now... suffering with 14deg weather here. I need some island time.
Lol, It's fairly cold back home from what the Braddahoods are saying. something like in the loww 60's? which mind you is VERY cold where im from Lol.
I live in nevada now, it's roughly 55 degrees where Im at. Not too bad seeing as though my house on Kaua'i had A.C. in every Room haha. But the Ohana back home is suffering hahaha. Poor guys, they say the morning is super cold but the rest of the day is hot and humid as usual. Gotta make a trip back ASAP so I can go surf. One thing I can't bear to live without is being in a barrel. It'll change your life.

I think I am going to try that on my IGO-W tonight. I have heard about the Dragon Coil or Wick, but never looked into it. Thanks!
nice thing about the dragon coil is that after it is built it is the easiest to wick and it is not as finicky about not getting too much or not enough cotton.
So far the best I've found is a 28 gauge wrapped 20-28 times on itself, but the wicking is where it's at. My 1.1 ohm coil stank at first wicked as I saw on youtube, but once I played with it a bit it pushes more than I could have ever expected!\
