Nano dragon coil troubles

So I'm having trouble wicking the nano dragon coil. No matter what I get a burnt taste. Any ideas why?

I had the same issue, they make great flavor and vapor first couple hits after a fresh drip, but after that they burn, throat hit real bad, before scorching. Pull the top cap, still see wet wicking, but around the coil it is completely dry. Wasn't much impressed, moved back to at the time, IGO W V1 era, resting the coil down onto the cotton bed

what watts are you running? what gauge wire? what ohms? nano dragons do well at 10-15W for single coil and 20 - 30W for duals

a bit more info would help out...

its kinda like asking the mechanic " My car makes a funny noise when its running, what wrong with it..."

26 gauge kanthal and i think I had it too hot. It was a duel coil at .6 ohms running at about 30 watts

yup, that would be a hot coil set for nano dragon..... I normally run 28 gauge dual coils at 1.2 ohms 30W and wicks last about 3-4 days before a change is needed

Ok. I will have to try that. I have to pick up more wire anyways tomorow

I'm doing single 24 gauge nano coil 0.45 ohm, on mech so about 30w -+ depending on the freshness of the battery

I found that the wicking method I see most in YT video angle up where you leave one end of the coil out and cover the rest give me nasty dry hit when I run "low" on juice.

By watching it without the cap, just hitting and blowing on it, I could see that the exposed end dry early and start to spit burned gunk

I prefer horizontal with a cloud of wick underneath it, I put enough wick so it's half to 3/4 buried and leave the top part completely open to air.

Here on my Veritas.

I use Drago cotton wick not sure if that make any difference at all but it's super absorbant.

Ok I got it down. 1.17 ohms using 14 wraps of 30 gauge kanthal around a paper clip. I gotta say this build is awesome even tho it need re dropped more often the flavor and vapor at 40 watts is stellar
