Hi everyone! My name is Cade Cannon, I live in Los Angeles and have been smoking analogs for 22 years (and trying to quit for almost that long lol). I'm extremely excited even though I am extremely unsatisfied with my first purchase, the BLU, because I sense this could really help me quit analogs if I got the right kind for me!
Ok, first of all, I've been vaping for less than a week now with the Blu e-cigs and I got excited cuz I ordered the kit on a Wed night and received it THAT sat. morning!!! And here I had resigned myself to a wait time of 6-8 weeks. Of course, now the thing with the bad charge pack and they say the new packs won't be ready for at least 4-6 weeks!!! They never sound too apologetic either, but I definitely think Blu customers should get a freebie of some sort or a big discount... *sigh*
Anyway, for that past 6 weeks I've been doing so much research on which e-cigs are the best because my parents are giving me a certain amount of $ since my b-day is coming up on Nov. 1st, but I can only use the $ on e-cig kits. So, I finally got it down to 5 and I really, REALLY need the advice of all of you on this forum as to wich you think are best!
1. The Dragon 401 from True Smoker (manual or auto?)
2. Green Smoke (most expensive but I've heard they're vapor monsters)
3. The Side Sho from Modern Vapor Does anyone know what model number this is? i.e. 401, 510, or??? (Wonder what Blu thinks of their PCC? hehe.
4. The Vapor King Ultimate Ultimatum Kit (is this a KR808d-1 or something like that? It's the ones with V4L all over the batts) Never thought the day would come where I can match my PVs with my purse, LOL.
5.TECC 510 Titan Platinum Kit from TECC.

So, please! I'd appreciate any and all input because I'm just cross-eyed and spinning in circles. It seems that the more "research" I do, the more confused I get!
P.S. Does anyone know if the Blu batts fit any other kind of atty or cartridge? I'm almost possible that I read in this forum somewhere that the Blu model is just another 401 or something and that there are attys and carts that will fit it. It would be more cost effective if I had a few models with interchangeable parts. And hey! How will I know if there are any replies to my post? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a Blu and a 510. the attys and bats are interchanagable. But the 510 bat is too long for the PCC. the carts have to go w/the addy though. If you go to the Blu sub form there is info on which carts will fit.

I'd suggest the 510 as well it is the most solid "starter" e-cig that I have found and works nicely into "veteran vaper" status. Also if you're looking to stretch that money out the 510 can be found for 35 to 40 bucks for a starter kit which is a good deal.

I'm sporting a 510, 901, 801, and M400 series and I have to say the 510 is the staple most well rounded e-cig of them all. Manual battery of course... especially as a person new to e-cigs I would suggest the manual, there is a MUCH smaller learning curve with them.

If you can afford to buy three e-cig starter kits, you can afford to jump right into a top quality, enhanced battery pack. You will skip the frustrations with automatic batteries, expensive battery replacements, fouled batteries from e-liquid and short battery life. A manual battery pack allows you to burn your atomizer as long as you like, are sealed from any e-liquid that may seep from the atomizer (this is particularly a plus if you start dripping), and have user-replaceable batteries that are far cheaper than screw-in type batteries. These devices are robust, have excellent manual buttons and many can be configured to operate with long runtime batteries for 3.7 volts vaping (typical e-cig battery voltage) or for high-voltage vaping at 5-6 volts. These 'mods', a common term for these devices, can be ordered with a connector for your favorite atomizer - 801, 901 or 510.

I recommed that you read the forums about the folloing devices.

You can also get a joye510 from cignot.com for 35.00 no box kit and they have great customer service.

I second that, Terri and Vickie are among the best!

Save your money for juice and get a bunch of sample sizes along with the kit. Try a variety to see what you like best. Get some blank cartridges too.

do yourself a favor and get the 501, the kr808d-1, and greensmoke (if you aren't on a budget...if you are get the 401). the kr808d-1 are disposable e cigs. meaning you throw away the cartomizer after they die. very good vapor production from what i hear, i have one on the way

well since you already own the blu (as I do) I'd recommend getting a coupleof m801 atomizers and carts from litecigusa.net. They make the blu pretty damn good. Consistant vapor throughout the life of the cart, and I get good throat hit, of course that depends mostly on the flavor, mostly (sorry I couldn't help myself). So for like 25.00 bucks you can get two m801 attys 5 blank carts shipped. Plus you get to still use you pcc, or at least the new one when it arrives.

Forget the greensmoke;) Way over priced and the carts are expensive, customer svc is very lacking. 8-o I'd go with the 510 kit with manual batts, and a silver bullet @ altsmoke.com.:D Also get liquid at diyshack.com from Dawn, best in US.:), also nhaler.com has really good hv liquid for the 510 and silver bullet.:) Makes a BIG difference:) nhaler has 510 kits/parts:) You will have all the volt variations at your fingertips:)

Well, since you've had time with your Blu cigs, the question comes down to what has become more important to you? Throat hit, flavor, vapor, battery life? Those three key factors tend to play a pretty heavy hand in your purchase. The hotter the atty burns, the more vape and throat hit, but less flavor seems to seep through. That's the reason I decided not to go with the 510, the TH and Vape was superb from what I tried on my friends, but didn't feel like there was enough flavor. I love hookah, so that strong potent flavor meant a lot to me, and I could sacrifice TH and Vape a bit in order to get a more enjoyable tasting puff. I personally bought the 901 since it has a long history of reliability and pretty damn down the middle stats, making it the all purpose e-cig. I am also looking into getting the prodigy, and an 801.

Those suggesting the 510, are all about the TH, I'm in the minority that claims flavor is more important.

The hv liquids from nhaler give you both flavor and throat hit, they burn slower at a lower nic rate:)

If you want great customer service, a fantastic product, and a group who supports them to the end, Then I suggest the Vapor King from Vapor 4 Life. Just visit the forum and read all you need to know, you will have no need of any other PV. But this is just my opinion. I have a 510 and 801 and my VK. The 510 and 801 are used as dust collection devices now.

Hi there, I started with the 510's myself and found them to be excellent all around. Bought a kit for my daugher and she found it easy to use and satisfactory. Make sure if you decide to buy one you get the manual with the button. I "graduated" to a Silver Bullet about 6 weeks ago and it's my everyday workhorse. I still use my trusty 510's I got in June when I want a different flavor or if I want to be more indiscreet. Those SBs are pretty flashy!

I am new to this whole thing but 2 of the ones you spoke of are what I ordered-
The Dragon, which has arrived already- less than 2 days to get to me! I have had a great experience w/ JD from Truesmoker and he has a discount code!
I also ordered the Sidesho- ModernVapor- Tony has been great e-mailing me multiple times to answer questions I have had- Another great experience so far! and... a discount code for 25% off- Look it up at the Modernvapor forum - I think ecf25 was what it is...
So far the Dragon has been great! It has a good amount of vape, throat hit, the flavor of these carts are strong for me but I have others coming- DK-TAB is what came in my kit... a java- mocha type flavor is best I can describe it- My husband loves them!
I chose these 2 due to the fact I was looking at Blu cigs 1st and kept reading of the issues... I still wanted a PV w/ a PCC but then read on the Dragon's battery life- As far as others I can't say, but our battery has been lasting a full day at least before needing recharging- Literally- about 24 hrs- Now we don't vape constantly, we vape at about the same rate we smoked if not less- Vaping about the same time frame as smoking a cig but not vaping as often as we smoked analog cigs- I am only vaping a bit right now due to the strong flavor/strength of the carts that came w/ it- I am waiting for the lighter liquids I ordered- My husband - again- he loves them!
If I had to say- If you vaped constantly or whatever, It is probably a good 6-8 hr battery life- since we have it on only when vaping, I don't have to charge until next day about same time as I chaged day before etc
I hope this explained well.
The Sidesho hasn't come in yet (I ordered Thursday late afternoon so expect it soon as I already have my shipping #)- I am excited to see how the PCC works but I am quite pleased w/ the Dragon at this point. Can't tell you about compatibility- I am still learning all this too.
Good Luck in your choices.
