So, I got home from class today and opened my laptop, picked up my USB passthrough(401 from litecig), and was vaping for 10 minutes or so. I walked away from my desk for a few minutes to check the mailbox(for my Rath juice![but it wasn't here yet]). When I came back to my laptop, and picked up my passthrough, the entire device was exceptionally hot. I pulled off the mouthpiece and the atomizer was bright red, and the cartridge was beginning to soften as if it would've melted if I didn't catch it when I did.
Has anyone had an issue with their 401 passthru where the atty will get stuck ON? This is an automatic not a manual passthru, so there isn't an issue with a stuck button. Also, it normally has a 7-second cutoff... I'm just wondering why, this time, it seemed like the atty did not use the cutoff, and was on for about 5 minutes straight!
I ended up unplugging it from the USB port, and blowing out my atty, and wiping out the empty cartridge, which didn't actually melt away any plastic material, but started to warp. Hours later I plugged in the passthru and it's vaping just fine, and I tested a 7-second inhale, and the battery cutoff was still at 7-seconds.
Anyone experienced this before? I doubt it has anything to do with an auto-cleaning cycle, but I'm new to this passthru so I'm not quite sure...
