Howdy All,

Just watched the race and Justin Loftin was in front for the first few laps and kept the Mad Vapes hood in the spotlight though out the race. I heard the announcers mention the 'Mad Vapes Truck' at least once. I was disappointed to see that with such a high profile sponsorship they failed at the tie in advertising. All of the major vendors and there are a ton, also run advertising on the network at the same time to tie in their ad's. While 'Mad Vapes' received plenty of 'hood time' I believe they failed to tie it to any kind of message.

So they reinforced their message with their existing Nascar fan base (me?), but didn't provide any compelling content in the form of a TV ad that would get anyone to their website. Given this must of been their goal. I say on that I'd give them a 2 out of 10 on their advertising dollars spent, while their excellent selection of a team/driver was more on the line of an 8 of a 10!

I really hope that they had a great vendor booth setup during the Camping World truck event to help tie their truck to their website and products.

Justin finished in the top five, which given the nature of the hyper aggressive truck races is excellent.

Since I'd recorded the race, there is a minor chance that I'd missed their commercial however I don't believe that is the case and as always I welcome everyone's feedback !!

Warm regards,
Mike

Since they are located in the home of Nascar, that says a lot. Bigger bucks are needed for TV commercial ads, however. Maybe they will get there eventually. The hood time is a big step in that direction.

I watched the whole race but did not see any commercial ads.

Hate to quote myself, but can anyone confirm they had a great vendor booth setup?

Otherwise it was a waste of money, end of story... unless the owner got to do Miss Sprint Cup!

You would be shocked at just how much that "Hood Time" is worth, especially with a truck running in the top 5...

There are usually break downs of how much air time each car gets on Jayski, but that's for cup races. Not sure if they do that for the NCWTS races. Getting the hood on screen for as long as they did is far more cost effective WRT exposure time than a commercial spot.

Hopefully this is a multi race sponsorship deal and not just a Daytona thing... Although, I'm sure even a single race deal probably cost Mad Vapes a mint to get their name on the hood of that truck. Running a few commercials nationally during the race would have more than likely doubled the cost.

Either way, it was cool to see them on the hood of a car, even if it is only for one race

Sorry, but that's just wrong. No one goes and googles mad vapes at the end of the race, perhaps if Justin would of won the race...maybe, big maybe.

Unless they have a ground game, I'm sorry it was a bad investment. I've watched nearly all the races every weekend for over two decades and I still don't know what 1/2 of the lower tier cars/trucks are actually selling!

I started this thead and think its *UCKING uber cool that Mad Vaper sponsored a Nascar ride in the truck series. However I'm merely commenting on the ROI and unless they had a great booth setup at Daytona, it was a bad investment as there was not co-coordinating tv advertising.

Again, if they had a strong ground game with a booth on the beach, then everything is good.

OMG its another conspiracy. Lol. Pretty cool madvapes putting themselves out there.

Sorry to of given an actual marketing perspective. It's like the ongoing 3 or 4 trillion dollar bail out to the banks to help the economy. If the FEDS would of given us each family individually 50k to spend instead of giving it to the banks would that of help the economy more? ... of course it would.

I want Mad Vapes to success more than most other companies, however if they would of taken the 70k to 250k and just used that as 'bonus' rewards points they might of expanded their user base more.

No conspiracy. Just honest marketing, from someone that's actually been watching for Nascar for 20 fn years. 1 year of advertising is NOTHING, a few races is less. Perhaps if i see you winning the next year...perhaps.
