I feel like posting some obscure stuff... So here is a 6 pack to start of your day.

First up is the legendary group "Dark". Copies of this are stupid rare. Sir Paul McCartney bought one for just over ten grand a few years back. Heavy prog.

Here's one I uploaded, it's a cover of Max Frost's "shape of things to come" by "the glad". I haven't been able to find anything else by these guys, but I love their take on this tune.

The first 4 sabbath albums are the first 4 chapters of the metal bible. (Hendrix and Cream wrote the introduction, but I wouldn't call them METAL) Some might even say Zeppelin, but for METAL, it started with the intro to Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath (at a time when the hippie thing was still in full swing there was nothing like it), then Paranoid, Master of Reality, and Vol. 4. As far as I am concerned, there are 2 types of rock bands that have existed since 1970. Those that listened, and those that didn't.

Well said, davy, I have a now-confirmed respect for you......:thumb:

You know, No One Here Gets Out Alive.......The Doors first album was 20 years ahead of its time......And Jim was my god!:)

Respectfully disagree. Blue cheer, elf (dio!), black widow and the stooges were all doing metal (proto metal) before sabbath. Sabbath popularized it, but Ozzy has said before that sabbath would never have happened without blue cheer.
