Try looking at the bottom of the atty with a flashlight to see the coil. Check to see if any foreign fiber is touching that coil. If this is a 510 atty then maybe that wick under the bridge is touching that atty coil. Most often with someone's first cleaning is the atty is not primed with ejuice. You have to reprime a cleaned atty. Drip some ejuice in the atty. If using a filled cart then take multiple long primer puffs if on a manual battery(without engaging the switch). If on an auto bat then take off the bat and do the same as above. Your atty is probably too dry hence that burning taste.

Its a dse801 atomizer with an automatic battery.
I tried doing what you suggested.
I also tried boiling it for 10 mins, as stated above. I think what happend was some of the black part (of the tip, where you put it in your mouth), a small sliver got stuck down past the bridge someplace, hence that nasty burnt taste. I tried blowing from the battery end when I cleaned it before boiling it.
Maybe ill try to boil it for an hour??
