Just to put that Tax Rate into Perspective...

$50.33/1810mg = $0.0278 per Milligram.

So a 0.7ml juul Cart would have $1.15 of Federal Tax per Cart
And a 1L Bottle of 100mg/ml TFN Nicotine Base would come in at a cool $2,780.00

From what I understand, there was some Hard Push-Back from a few Moderate Senate Democrats on the Original mg Tax Basis.

Also, similar Taxation measures in the House didn't receive Unanimous Consent among House Democrats. So rather than Attempt a harder Uphill Climb, a Lower Bar was set.

The federal tobacco and nicotine tax was watered down (by removing the higher tobacco/cigarette taxes) resulting in the bill only having an outrageously high tax on the #vapor products that are saving lives. It's not too late to take action!

NICOTINE TAX: (UPDATE) News outlets are reporting that the outrageous nicotine tax has been removed from the Build Back Better package, but we've seen this zombie tax reanimated before. Doesn't hurt to keep the pressure on so it stays dead this time!
