Thanks for the welcome. Will post a pic...
My wife usually uses the Mini with her 20w istick with the hinge adapter (she loves the fold down feature) and the fit is perfect. Probably just a bit .... of me, but seems it should fit snug.

Totally smoke free 16 days after 50 years of addiction to ciggies!

50 years? Wow, that's longer than even I smoked. Well done indeed.

Why does my Mini not fit flush onto my istick? there is about an eighth inch gap. It works great, but I am a bit curious since my Atlantis fits snug and even.

it's a common issue on most regulated devices: fixed centerpin.

on mechanicals, adjustable centerpin is a norm.

The istick 30 watt has a spring loaded 510 pin, it should adjust as you screw on the tank so there isn't a gap. Congrats on quitting the cigs! When I quit and had the "itch" I would keep a really cheap clearo with a cheap juice of the next higher nic in it. When the itch hit I would take a draw and then go back to the regular nic juice. It usually took from 3 days to a week to adjust then I didn't need the higher nic. I used this same technique to lower my nicotine level from where I started down to less than 3 mg. Good luck in your vape journey.

You might try going to a local vape shop and show someone, they are usually helpful/knowledgeable, especially if you buy a small bottle of juice.

Thanks Suprtkr. really enjoying waking up without that terrible hacking cough and breathing has improved a lot already. there has to be other addictive additives in cigarettes besides nicotine, because about once or twice a day i still get a strong urge for a smoke. i know this will get easier.

Good stuff, well done. I'm on just over 3 months without a smoke, after 22 and a half years on roll-ups.

I agree a lot about what you say in regard other addictive substances, or at the very least substances that have side-effects when they leave your body and are not quickly replaced.

Personally I certainly experienced symptoms of withdrawal from something during the first weeks, even on days where I had definitely overloaded on nicotine via vaping. And then more recently I have noticed that I can go for way longer without a vape than I could go between cigarettes before any physical withdrawal symptoms occurred. And then I messed around with sub-ohming zero nicotine juice one day and was really surprised at how minor a role nicotine seemed to be playing in the picture.

One of my favourite things about vaping is that we can play around with these different things because we are able to separate nicotine from other combusted cigarette substances, and also separate the nicotine from our psychological habit of routinely bringing our hands to our mouth and inhaling something. Revelation along the personal journey make it so much more fun and give me added reasons to stay far away from tobacco.

Slight variations between male and female 510 threads account for gaps between mod and toppers. The gap is good because it leaves room for a reduction of gap over time due to thread ware (closing of the gap). There are many reasons why this condition occurs. Just as long as you are firing and have an electrical connection, you should be alright.

I guess there are a few things it could be but its not inevitable with that combo - I have that same combo here and have never had a gap.

A threading issue or an issue with the central pin on either the tank or the istick seem likely candidates.

I have two istick30w and Mini's and they fit flush. The responses above should help you find the gap cause, either a stuck spring loaded pin on the Istick or a problem with the threads on the Istick or on your mini.

Sounds like maybe the 510 pin on the Nautilus Mini was cross threaded onto another mods or onto the hinge adapter. If that's the case, it'd explain why you can't tighten it down more. Don't force it... look at the threads on the tank and see if anything looks fishy...
