I'm loving that hardware and rda description, Mr. Mann. You've come a long way, baby, LOL.

Yeah, I am no longer vaping through a wet washcloth. Oh, wait, I haven't used a carto is years! LOL. J/K. Been hanging out on the SoCal forums and those cats are bad news for the wallet!

I noticed you're using two 2mm airholes. Sheesh, did you become a lung drawer?! These Cali folks have been an influence on you haha. Single 1.3mm-1.5mm is as big as I'll go, lung drawing feels way to foreign for me. Also haven't heard of that mod.. I don't really pay attention to what's coming out when I'm not buying hardware. This thread is about all I've been reading for a bit now.

Dude, that's so frickin' sweet! Can't wait to see how it turned out!

A cigar, done the GeJ way?

Nick must have vaped tons of juice getting that recipe right.

Count me in.

Also, Jerms, every time you say VA/Per blend, I can't help but see "VAPer blend".

That's why vapers oughta dig it.

Oh, wait- the flavor. Gotta have the flavor. :p

EDIT: UPDATE

The Sutliff Private Stock R-Blend pipe tobacco from MvJ is maturing at a much faster rate than the Dunhill Early Morning Pipe Tobacco. I'd give flavor notes but my setups are partially botched right now.

The Captain Black Royal is also coming into it's own, with the two Cavendish types dancing in equal intensity and smoothness. Starting to really like this stuff. Creamy, but present. Not cloying by any means, taste is rather similar to what I remember Dutch Masters Treats little cigars smelling like before being lit.

Extremely smooth on lung inhales, pleasant room note.

A slight chocolatey finish is beginning to become apparent.

The Sutliff is being vaped on a two-wrap Svomaestro(sp) Kayfun clone with a two-wrap 32GA coil, 3.8v (won't thread into the vamo for whatever reason and I don't feel like checking the resistance with a multimeter right now, but it should be around 1.5-1.7) on the Spinner. I will only say that it has a little bit more 'bite' than the Dunhill Early Morning at this time, because as I said- setup problems are giving me grief.

The Captain is running at 1.8Ω in a GS H2 at 6w-9w on the Vamo V5.

More updates to follow as the tobaccos develop.

Trying to keep my hands off of the Ashton Artisan's Blend as long as possible, but considering I liked the blend the first time I vaped it (second day after receiving the order- fastest e-juice order ever; 2 days to my door from shipping time using standard mail!), things will hopefully just improve from here on out.

Try a cigar. I do my cigar extracts different from tobaccos. Six weeks with an uncover and 15 minute heat and stir once a weeks. The cigar flavor comes through a bit better. I do 100% PG and the extracts, or at least some of them, thicken up a bit. Some cigars just don't transfer well no matter what. Some of you guys get a better taste out of a cigar than I can. Same cigar, same method. Someone's keeping secrets.

Hey boomer. When you say 6 weeks with an 'uncover' do you mean open with no lid? Also what temp are you cooking them at every week?

Vendor: River Bottom Fog Sauce
Liquid: Admiral's Pipe
Ratio: ?
Nic: 16 mg
Atty: Origen V2
Res/Build: DC 1.0Ω (7 wraps of 30 gauge; 1.98 mm ID; cotton wick; 2x2mm open airflow)
Mod: Cu (modified) Anatolian 18490

I will offer my impressions of this since I think it is finally available (or will be soon). I received this bottle a few moths ago and I have not inquired about it or read anything pertaining to the contents -- this is my take on the liquid/vape.

Color: Reddish amber

Nose of the liquid in the bottle: Sweet; clammy. No notes of smokiness.

Tobacco: Mild. The tobacco in the liquid doesn't speak loudly or aggressively, and in comparison to some of my favorite pipe tobaccos (Louisville, London, Porch Rocker) it is actually quite light -- but this is probably an aromatic type. But while it is light in comparison to those non-aromatic, deep-bodied liquids, it is not necessarily "light" on its own. Once again, on its own I'd say it is mild. The vape does feel slightly adrift without having that dirty-smoke anchoring of the more aggressive pipe tobaccos, but what keeps Admiral's Pipe from floating away is likely the amount of extract used -- which I would say, based on performance and taste, is perfect.

Taste: Pleasant and even. It's a sweetened-leaf kinda taste without a lot of complexity, but that is not to say it is boring, just easy-going. It's too hard to detect what the leaves are sweetened (or cased) with, but whatever it is, to me, it plays more as a general sweetener than any specific add-on (though the sweetener is kinda curvaceous -- a touch creamy). AP isn't particularly dry at all, and the exhaled vapor is dewy. But that dewy-feel mingles well with the sweetened-leaf quality and gives the liquid a fresh/moist tobacco taste.

Verdict/thoughts: Credible (though not incredible). What AP has going for it is that it's a relatively tasty and easy-to-vape liquid -- I need as many of those as I can get! I appreciate the performance-to-flavor ratio that never veers into the quick-to-gunk and muddy range, nor the busta-blood-vessel-to-detect-a-note arena. Admiral's Pipe is no exception in that regard. It's nice to be able to cruise and enjoy a natty liquid without having to prematurely pop the hood to flush my engine out.

Key points: Mild tobacco; aromatic pipe blend; pleasant and even; non-smoky; sweetened leaf taste; a touch creamy; dewy-feel; good performer.

Hey MM, noticed that you're missing the Ratio. All RBFS are 60/40 according to Brian.

Love the review and the format used. I may borrow it as well, if that's ok with you.

 :laugh:Yeah, we were waiting for you to step out.

I know that's what I was thinking too lol.

I've been want2vaping today. Coffee infused cigar in the aero tank and Louisville in the evod 2. Blissful. Its been a while since I've spent time with either.

Well, damn! I thought that one was up too (maybe I should look next time). My bad! Who knows, maybe it's a name-change. I hope so. I thought Caven Fever and Admiral's Pipe were all part of the new stuff, but maybe it is lying in wait or didn't make the grade. Dunno.

If I have understood Brian correctly, Caven fever is one of 3 new Nets in addition to Petners pipe, admiral pipe and others that were released a couple of weeks ago.

Brian has not sent my shipment yet because he is waiting to stick some of these new ones in my package.

For me, they are all new, all of them !

Anthony, you get your MVJ stock yet?!

2 weeks ago. It's all in deep steep except for the Ashton pipe and Ramon Bueso.

The Vegas 5 cask (did I say it right? I'm even worse on tapatalk with my grammar and names) is also showing a lot of promise.

Good morning NETizens (or it will be morning by the time you see this)! Here's my first River Bottom Fog Sauce review. I was pretty impressed by these juices, especially St. James Parish. Fabulous and Burley is really good too, but I prefer Vurley and Vita Bella a bit more. I didn't enjoy Poet & Scholar out of the mail, but after some steeping, it became a juice that I liked a lot (though probably not as much as Jerms).

Thanks. Mine wasn't on the bottle and I really had no idea.

Borrow away. And anyway, it's t's just a modified take on luce's set-up to review.

They don't list them on the bottles for some reason. He mentioned that to me when I asked if I can order a custom ratio.

We really should come up with a standard reviewing template that we should use for juice reviews y'know and something like this one certainly fits the bill. Thoughts?!

I like the general template that luce uses and I like Jerms' too. There's really no right or wrong way, but the standard should be to just answer basic questions such as color of liquid, gunk factor and tobacco presence -- I think those are all the main questions that give the most insight, and all but one of them are basically objective.

Oh, and of course we always have to know what you're vaping it with, meaning the JDS.
