Anthony, I cover the container with Parafilm. It's a Saran wrap type stretch material that makes an airtight seal. Usually used by labs. It's easy to cut a square and stretch it on the x-y axis then fit over the lid. Love the stuff.

No, no open tops. Never, nada. Fifteen minutes for alcohol but other than that, zip.

I try and stay at 130F tops.

The weekly re-heat facilitates the stirring up to expose more surface area. With cigar extracts I try and flip everything upside down retaining the order of the leaves, only in reverse. Easy in theory, a b*tch in practice.

Hey boomer. When you say 6 weeks with an 'uncover' do you mean open with no lid? Also what temp are you cooking them at every week?

Very good points Ray. Understanding a bit more about what this company is trying to achieve and within the market they are pointed to explains much about the genesis of the product. We're a tough group here when it comes to the true flavor of tobacco, so it's not surprising that the Trabuco line isn't well received. I too was a bit shocked with my first taste of their wares. My biggest gripe with them is the whole brand image focusing on tobacco. I feel like they should market these with less emphasis on the tobacco component, which is honestly a fraction of the flavor experience. Something to the effect of "x,y,z flavor with an infusion of NET virginia & whiskey" might be more attractive to the SoCal crowd and a warning to the rest of us NET zealots.

Lastly, just to address the "these guys don't know tobacco" comments that have been floating around lately, I don't think it's fair to assume anything about their knowledge on the basis of these products. For all we know, their extractions could be ace, we just aren't really getting the opportunity to taste them in these mixtures. Considering very few of us have talked to these guys in depth, and that fact that we're all armchair aficionados on the subject for the most part, it's in very poor taste to trash talk. Even though I don't care for these liquids, I love the idea and I wish them the best in a very tough market to please.

Keep in mind that I'm just guessing what the company's goals are. :) Certainly there's a huge opportunity for NETs in SoCal, but it's going to take work since the majority of SoCal vapers I've met are ignorant when it comes to the wonderful world of NETs. Companies like Trabuco and True Leaf are taking advantage of a glaring hole in the local market. They seem to be having some success so far, but it's more about slick marketing (more Trabuco than True Leaf) and an appalling lack of quality NETs at retail.

X, OMG, I had no idea that the words on the left of the company name was the description of the liquid. As I said recently, I can be VERY blind! Wow. Talking about embarrassing! LOL

Aside from the juice, that's actually one of my favorite things about Ragtime Vapor. So many companies have elaborate flavor names that sound cool, but leave vapers with little or no idea what the flavor is supposed to be. I love that Ragtime puts the extra effort to inform vapers on the flavor.

Good morning NETizens (or it will be morning by the time you see this)! Here's my first River Bottom Fog Sauce review. I was pretty impressed by these juices, especially St. James Parish. Fabulous and Burley is really good too, but I prefer Vurley and Vita Bella a bit more. I didn't enjoy Poet & Scholar out of the mail, but after some steeping, it became a juice that I liked a lot (though probably not as much as Jerms).

As always, a concise, well thought out, and enjoyable review Ray.

Over the top marketing much? So, I guess Netcom, MVJ, W2V and others never produced a cigar flavor from an actual cigar before. Count me out on this one.

Haha, I guess I didn't look that close, just saw GeJ released their first cigar NET and that was all the info I need. Looking now though, yeah it is a bit over the top. But.. GeJ was my first NET love and they have some of my favorite NETs ever, so I give them a lot of slack about stuff outside the flavor of their juice.

Nick the owner really is a good guy too. He's been in the game a long time, and seems genuinely passionate about smoking cessation. He tends to push the juices he believes will convince people they can give up smoking for vaping, or make it easier to make the switch. So while he makes some choices that I wouldn't do as a vendor; the quality, speed, price, and passion of the owner makes it easy for me look over any decisions I find odd.

GeJ releasing it's first cigar NET may not be as big of a deal here as it would have been a year ago, but I'm as excited now as I would have been then. Much like when Ahl released it's first cigar vape, but hopefully GeJ did a much better job with the product than Ahl did.

I know that's what I was thinking too lol.

I've been want2vaping today. Coffee infused cigar in the aero tank and Louisville in the evod 2. Blissful. Its been a while since I've spent time with either.

Didjya know that W2V's Coffee-Infused Cigar is also a flavor cigar made by Drew Estate? Quite different than DE's ACID line though, it's allowed to hang out in the regular humidor with other cigars in a tobacco shop instead of having to have a separate humidor like the ACIDs.

The cigar is called Tabak Especial, and it has notes of espresso and cocoa. It was my favorite Drew Estate cigar that I smoked, but I prefer the ACID extraction when vaped. I enjoyed W2V's Coffee-Infused, but not as much as the actual cigar. With the ACIDs; whether smoked or vaped it's nearly the same experience.

If I have understood Brian correctly, Caven fever is one of 3 new Nets in addition to Petners pipe, admiral pipe and others that were released a couple of weeks ago.

Brian has not sent my shipment yet because he is waiting to stick some of these new ones in my package.

For me, they are all new, all of them !

I got an email from Brian that there's been a holdup on the site for the last 3 flavors and he doesn't know why. Hopefully they'll be up soon. Also, the cigar NETs dropped $5 which I'm glad to see happen. Even at $29 for 30ml I'd still suggest Dagwood's for a Blondie over the cheaper ones on the market, but $24 makes that a bit easier.

The Capone thing just really bothered me for about 15 different reasons between "played" and "poor taste." That said, Goodejuice is EXTREMELY high on my list. Maybe I haven;t said this before. I know they have some issues...I still think the website is a bit too jumbled, that left tool bar is kind of cumbersome...the handwritten bottle labels that wore off, but have now been replaced by a very sharp, very professional label. That said, of all the retail vendors I have dealt with their juice may be the most consistent. I have never gotten anything other than what was expected. Plus their delivery time is unmatched, period.

I'll also add that of all the juices I have...hundreds...Acadian Gold has been the most successful in assisting others to get off the stinkies.

My GUESS is they don't release a cigar unless it is really nice and relatively clean burning as well. So in this regard, honestly, I expect something very high quality.

Excellent my friend. My experience is very similar to yours. I also feel while F&B is a solid vanilla flavored burley NET, it doesn't reach the heights for me as Vurley and VB. Actually, for me it's a pretty distant 3rd and I reorder Vurley and VB but probably not F&B.

St James though is just... amazing. You described it well, like how it doesn't have as potent a funk as other Periques on the market. Easily the best Perique vape, and one of my all time favs.

P&S wowed me at first, but I don't grab for it as much as I thought at first. I still like it quite a bit, but kind of respect it more than want to vape a lot of it.

My other two favorites other than St. James is Porch Rocker and Pirates. Love, love, love them both, hope you review them sometimes. Also Dagwood's is up there for me.

Calling it "The Godfather" and putting a Capone picture with it bothered me too... Then I remembered they have named other products things like "Banana Montana" and "Pop that Cherry!" The Godfather may actually be a step forward!

Oh yeah also.. I think we talked about this before, but for some reason that I don't know why my experience on their gunkiness is quite different then yours. I find them super clean, some of the cleanest macerations on the market, and often go days vaping RB without needing to clean my coil.

Pardon me for my rampage last night. However, I do feel very strongly that Trubaco completely missed the mark. Hell, they overshot the moon and missed Mars.

I know what I've said is really harsh, but I feel like in this case it's warranted. This juice was touted, by the makers, to be the 'end all, be all' of NET. That couldn't be further from the truth, imo. I don't pour e-luiquid down the drain often. In fact, I've only done it with Mt. Baker. Well, before Trabuco, that is. I hated to do it, but I had to.

/rant

Meh, don't worry about it, your rant was pretty mild compared to when BJ doesn't like something

Compared to his reactions, your rant was almost a compliment ;)

Funnily enough, I just finished a bottle of Ragtime Vapor Honky Tonk and am currently trying to finish a bottle of Boba's Bounty. In my book, Honky Tonk trounces Boba's.

That's some strong words there partner.

Haha, I'm excited enough to order from Ragtime, now you just cranked my expectations up to 11.

Me too. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes before Nick releases a new NET (that can be said about most vendors, the good ones anyways). I'd be willing to wager it's a very well-done cigar NET. Just going to have to find out if it matches my tastes, and GeJ makes it easy on the wallet to find out.

Exactly haha. Nick could use a person to act as a marketing filter to weed out the questionable ideas. But.. still doesn't matter to me, as for my needs GeJ's product makes any other concerns minor.

All over the place
SInce RBFS came up last night...

I am about done with my bottle of PDST...by done I mean done trying to make it work. I tried it new, at 1 month, at 2 months, and at almost 3 months. I BDC'd it and I dripped it. I am getting almost no flavor at all. It vapes well, but it falls beneath the clean essence vibe of Fab & Burley into the range of being bland. It is to the point now where loading it up for yet another attempt to GET it is pissing me off. Not sure if I got a bottle that was off, if my palate is torched, or if you guys are insane. Probably NONE of those, so I don't know. All I do know is that for almost 3 months now I have gotten almost no flavor at all from it.

While I have no problem getting flavor from PDST, I do, more times than not, have problems "getting" the flavor (if you catch my drift).
