Hey boomer,

You'll be getting a package in the mail from me within a week or so containing extract bottles of the five cigars I finished yesterday (Batch #10, 5-day heat-assisted 130° warm water bath macerations, 65pg/35vg bases):

Carlos Torano Casa Torano
Torano’s private house blend cigar; Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers wrapped in a golden-brown Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut shade wrapper; extremely complex flavors: subtle spice, creamy sweetness, a peppery earthiness; bold yet soft.

La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero
Dominican longfiller and binder leaves finished in silky Ecuadorian wrappers that shimmer with a dark and oily patina; flavors of wood and coffee bean dominate with sweet notes on a long, spicy finish.

Alec Bradley Tempus
The Habano-seed wrapper hails from a small tobacco field located on the border of Nicaragua and Honduras, capturing the rich, hearty flavors of Honduras. This leaf is dark and leathery, and conceals a complex mixture of Cuban-seed long-fillers grown in both Nicaragua and Honduras. The cigar explodes with rich, but smooth flavors noting toasted wood and nuts. The finish is long and peppery with an enjoyable sweetness.

Brick House Robusto Natural
specially aged Nicaraguan tobaccos with hearty Havana Subido™ wrapper leaves, with flavors of White pepper, wood (oak), grass, and spice.

PDR 1878 Cubano Especial Capa Maduro
Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper, Dominincan Criollo binder and a carefully crafted mix of Nicaraguan and Dominican criollo fillers. This medium-bodied selection opens with a hearty, dark maduro wrapper that will warm you to the core. Earthy flavors with just a hint of sweetness.

Alec Bradley Tempus sounds like a wonderful extraction Bill.
When you or Johni extract a cigar tobacco, how many cigars do you actually cut up, unwrap and macerate for an extraction? Just wondering. :?:

That would be awesome Jerms. Let me know what you think. I get the feeling that although those liquids might not as praise worthy as Dspin claims, they are probably in the same sub-genre as want2vape.

They are on the gunky-rich tasting end of the spectrum. I don't know how they hold up against the many great homemade NET's that are circulating around and dspin probably doesn't know either, but I think there is a fair chance they will be flavoursome and potent NET brews.

I am VERY impressed by the list of cigars Ken, the maker of Walker tobacco Alternatives has extracted. That list shows this guy knows and appreciates his cigars. That is always a good sign. Among the notable extractions are the La Gloria Cubana, Partagas 1845 Limited Reserve 1996 (currently sold out), Fuente Opus X 2005 (currently sold out), 1926 Padron Maduro and A Fuente Gran Reserva.

A guy extracting these kinds of cigars is most likely not making a B-grade effort of it.

He also extracts pipe blends but he is not taking orders at the moment while filling orders that were requisitioned on the pipe blend order sheet.

I have a couple WalkerT gifted from DustM. I may try one tonight to let you know what I think.

It doesn't have the bite like SPC-MS. I find it perfect, with a smokey camp fire taste that is surprisingly mellow. But of course your opinion may vary. I tend towards the heavier, smokey type juices which probably is why I did Latakia straight up when I smoked pipes.

Boomer, did you ever smoke C&D's Star of the East? I'm thinking about extract-a-fying that one in my next batch. Lat-bomb all the way.

Duplications of specific tobacco blends are one of the interesting developments we're seeing now, given the spread of retail NET liquids and the productivity of our small but growing band of intrepid home extractors. Both Johni and I have extracted Hearth & Home Signature Louisiana Red Pipe tobacco. My extract is from a heat-assisted 80pg/20vg maceration (my typical warm water bath) with a short steep (one day), whereas Johni's is from a cold-process/room-temp long-steep all-PG maceration.

I now have four different versions of ACID Blondie---two retail juices (want2vape ACID Blondie, now called "The Blond" and RBFS Dagwood's Wife is Trippin') and two cold-process/room-temp home-extracts (Boomerdude's and Johni's). Although all four are made from the what are supposedly the very same cigars and share the idiosyncratic ACID Blondie flavor profile, meaningful differences in the overall vaping experience of those four juices/extracts are easily discernible, especially if they're vaped side-by-side.

I've extracted American Spirit Organic cigarette/RYO blend, the same tobacco used in N-E-T.com's Organic Spirit. Also, I've extracted NAT Sherman MCD cigarettes, which are the same as N-E-T.com's NS Dark or NS Brown (I can't remember which---one is MCD and the other is Cigarillo, or so I assume).

And so it goes, multiple choices for the same tobacco blends. But then, that's commonplace in the eliquid marketplace. I've reviewed 160 different versions of RY4 over three years, and I'll bet a hundred more are available that I haven't vaped.

Wonderful source of information on the origins of NET.coms more recent offerings bill. I knew which cigars all the originals were extracted from but no idea where organic spirit, NS Dark and NS Brown came from. They are all good. I still have some brown and dark left so I might hang out with both of those this weekend.

Can you link me where you got that info of what they have for sale? I searched Walker Tobacco Alternatives, but all I get is some 'vaping with almighty god' facebook page and several links to forums where Dspin is saying he's tried every tobacco juice announced as extracted in the US and Europe (I don't believe that), the rest are pretenders except W2V, and that these surpass W2V.

The one's I have are Easy Times and Patel The Edge. Dspin said Easy Times is a pipe tobacco with burley, cav, and perique, but no mention of Patel The Edge. I'll try Patel right now, would like to see how WalkerT describes these.

Well Anthony, I'm only a few vapes in and already have enough info to post on lol. Patel The Edge is 100% vg, but it's not vg thick, it's beyond that (and very dark). It's like they took very lightly filtered extraction sludge and added some vg. I can't imagine it'll wick in anything other than a dripper.

The nice thing about tobacco extract is it seems you can use a very high percentage of extract and not ruin the flavor, it just makes for a more potent and aggressive tobacco flavor. The flavor may get muddy and lack the crispness and clarity of flavor of a lighter ratio, but that often makes it closer to the actual smoking experience. This mix by WalkerT is very potent, muddy, and authentic to smoking. The flavor is very good and realistic.

I've been vaping NET for a while now, and as time goes on I've come to appreciate a lighter hand in mixing tobacco extract. That may result in a product that's less like smoking than this is, but it offers benefits that I enjoy as a vaper, not a smoker. My taste buds and sense of smell has long recovered from my days of smoking, and I'm able to appreciate subtlety, clarity, and separation of flavor notes that is found in lighter mixes. I don't need to be bombarded with flavor.

With proper filtration and choosing the right tobacco, NETs are possible that have those benefits but are also very full flavored, an example is the VA/Per blends Bill has made. At 15% it's loaded with flavor, offers many subtleties, and is clean on coils. Another example is RiverBottom, which is full flavored, demonstrates beautiful clarity and subtlety, and are clean. This WalkerT however, is just loaded with flavor, and dirty as hell.

As I said, the flavor of this Patel The Edge is very good and authentic. Well, less so now than when I started writing this because it's already gunking. It's just, this is Paris level gunking, probably worse, which makes it impossible for me to recommend or want to grab for. For someone who's less sensitive to a gunky coil (maybe they like the added actual smoke of burning particulates lol), or just NEEDs something super potent and don't mind the hassle, this may be perfect.

For my needs though, Bill's Rocky Patel cigar extraction, which is filtered so well that while it's dark and mixed at 22% it's still clean, is an infinately more enjoyable vape than this from WalkerT.

Thanks jerms. I'm on tapa and at work and can't speak elaborately. As a sub genre that appeals to me. As a yo yo reformed smoker who still struggled with analogs, it also appeals. (Working on that btw. I have set a full cessation date with analogs).

I like muddy and potent and I like subtle with clarity. I like both. I consider London and Managua muddy and potent and they are two of my all time favorite Vapes.

I see walker satisfying a niche market or newcomer that crave realism of an analog more than the connoisseur palate. I can see how walkers may not appeal to someone who has been off combustibles for a long period of time.

You may like them, similar realm as W2V. There really is no exaggerating the gunk factor though, London isn't nearly as bad as this, so keep that in mind before ordering.

If someone vapes Paris and thinks 'this is good, but I really wish it would gunk quicker', WalkerT is a must-try.

I can't see vaping these, so they'll be showing up on the PiF thread soon as a give away. DustM hooked me up with two almost 15ml bottles (enough to trash millions of coils), so if a few people want to try I can split it up.

Edit: oops, they are 15ml bottles not 30ml.

I was just watching Smokie's review of these on Youtube... black as pitch -- and those were the pipe tobaccos. It was a favorable review, but from they looked rather dirty (gunkers).

It's interesting, this sudden "discovery" of NETs and the rush to market.
