My rotation was finally down to 4 or 5 juices, and NET.com's Black Cav was one of them. Eclipse sounds promising, but Clay is a tough act to follow. To really be fair to it, I really should wait awhile until Clay's offering is not so fresh in my memory before I try it. Once it gets here, though, curiosity will get the best of me.

I hadn't seen anyone carry a Black Cavendish before NET.com did, and like you, was blown away by it. It became my favorite from there and would have been the reason I ordered from them. And I hope that Eclipse from Ethervapes can, well, eclipse it -- or at least shine brightly on it's own because I'll need more soon :)

Hey, it's good to hear that SHADOW is clicking for you. I've had those days as well. Lately it's due to improper wicking in my Fogger V2.5. There is nothing worse than having to chain-vape liquid you like that taste like .... because the cotton is burning, or because your device leaks all over the place and you end up drinking it. That's how come I had to put LEGEND down for awhile, after my kayfun accident.

As far as certain HHV blends having Cavendish -- of course. That's how they get that creamy tobacco flavor/mouth feel.

I had Heavenly ARMY with me the other day during work, and on my lunch break I was vaping and it was a wonderful whipped cream chocolate with a touch of graham. I don't always get a chocolate with HA, but when it occurs -- it's wonderful :)

Because of loving Shadow soooo much, I just got a 50ml bottle two days ago. I can tell it's not a brand spanking new batch because of the dark orange/yellowish color. I'd prefer it this way. Opened it immediately and it tastes great!! Loving this juice, but for the life of me, I can't put a finger on the flavor. Is it a light Maple... or it such a raw tobacco extraction - that it fools you into thinking it's Maple?? Can't really tell. All I know is... this bottle won't last long. Two weeks from now I'll have about 5ml left.

Been dripping some Lagend as well. Still get that authentic Cigar flavor with a Cherry note. Very good though. Worth keeping a stash of. It's a wonderful evening vape.

Georgia Peach Tobacco had my attention for a whole day last week. Gotta say that GPT is a really good juice. Mine has aged about a month now. It's almost a red/orange color now, and tastes like a fresh peach with every vape. Really glad I gave that one a try.

Haven't had any Heavenly ARMY is about a 10 days. I've been wanting to add some to a RSST, but haven't gotten around to cleaning one out. Will most likely use the dripper to take out a few mL soon.

See, this is starting to finally piss me the freak off. Especially coming from some ECFers who have more than enough experience around here to know better. The saga has been posted and the situation discussed IN DETAIL more than once and in more than 1 thread. It would take about 2 minutes to find the explanation of what is going on there either in this thread or at the now closed NETCOM thread. Failure to do so is either just lazy or an unnecessary public airing of frustration.

Don't FREAK OUT if anyone out there feels like I am singling them out. It is just my opinion. But seriously, enough already. WE GET IT. The communication has been poor. There HAS been some...and orders are being delivered daily right now...but communication still has been poor and even if it is 100% understandable it sucks to be the consumer and it is unprofessional. Like i said, WE GET IT. So once and for all, I am stating the definitive facts. If I miss any, PM me and I will add them:

Within the span of a month, the following all has hit NETCOM and Clay:

1) unexpected, unanticipated separation and divorce from wife and sole full time business partner
2) full blown computer crash
3) unexpected, MAJOR surgery with prolonged hospital stay and long, slow recovery
4) a simultaneous EXPLOSION in orders due to word of mouth, forum, and reputation
5) He updated the site a month ago, changed the turn around time, but couldnt meet that revised turn around. Emails and phone calls remained unanswered for the most part (not all, I for instance had email and PM with him about a month ago) and his voicemail went full
6) He checked in on his thread a couple weeks ago and with a couple ECF members to say he was getting back on his feet and orders were going out
7) Every day for the last 2 weeks, every day, somebody I know has told me they received their order...including this morning. However he still has not caught up on emails and phone calls. Shoot, who knows how many orders he had in cue? All I know is they are going out.
8) Clay announced through ECFers earlier this week that these issues were resolved or close to being resolved. Divorce is final...so dude went through an entire divorce proceeding start to finish the last month or 2. He has moved his shop and moved into it. he is working on the PC issue but is not totally up and running. Orders are going out daily.
9) ECF gave him a deadline of like a week or so to answer their summons and he failed to do so. Personally, I am glad he didn't give ECF a response before his customers. Anyways, ECF closed his thread and then yanked his supplier status.
10) so 4 days after some of us posted an update on him some people are starting this whinge fest again. ::sigh::
11) Personally (and I have developed juices and been in contact with him this year) I emailed him on a personal matter to a personal email address a week ago and still haven't heard back.

So balance that with the following facts of NETCOM history:

1) Clay started on this thread and other like it. he is a local boy done well success
2) NETCOM PIF'd 100's of ML of juice to many of us pre-launch
3) NETCOM worked directly with many NETizens to develop and produce signature juices
4) NETCOM offers far and away the most customization options of any NET vendor, period. it is not even close
5) NETCOM offers free samples and major discounts at $50 (free juice baggies) and $100 (free 30 ml) spent...this is not per order, but rather by order history. This is outstanding.
6) NETCOM has sent FREE extract to dozens of people. FREE They also send out more free samples than any vendor I know...as in with EVERY order and often more than you even ask for.
7) NETCOM is near the top of the list of uprfront, honest vendors in terms of describing the exact ingredients and processes he uses
8) NETCOM offers a number of juices that are unique, one of a kind NET on the market including Black Cavendish and Balkan. Their Big Spirit redfined the analog NET market and remains arguably the best analog retail juice on Earth.
9) NETCOM is unrivaled in their selection of Single Varietals...which as with all NETCOM offerings, are customizable
10) NETCOM was the big winner, second only to Ahlusion, in the NETTY awards this year...and customer service was a component of that vote for sure. It was OUTSTANDING all year and his juices hit the spot, plus are among the most well balanced, consistent, and clean burning juices on the market.
11) NETCOM prices are hard to beat. A fully customizable, clean burning, consistent NET for $0.53 p/ml or $16.00 per/30 ml. Are you joking???
12) Up until the avalanche of issues in-numerated above, Clay's communication was as good or better than any vendor I know. He was online on his thread for multiple hours EVERY day, returned emails same day, and went out of his way to CALL many customers on his own

So, make up your own minds but I'd prefer to see the rhetoric ratchet way down on this issue. Me? I am placing an order TODAY for some more Big Spirit and NS Dark. If you asked me though, I wouldn't recommend it until he chimes in here...where it all started...to say he is completely caught up on orders and refunds, the computer issues are solved, he is sorry, and he is back in business 100%.

Seems like this never ending saga is still relevant today, unfortunately. Ever get that order BJ?

Unfortunately it is. I placed an order on May 3rd and haven't received it yet. But honestly, I'm really not worried about it. I don't think Clay would just close up shop and screw his clients out of money. But it has happened before with other vendors, so I guess it's a possibility.

Also, personally, I have plenty of other juice to vape in the mean time. I've kind of just forgot about the order, so when it ships it'll be a nice surprise.

Oh no...no that again ;)

To be cllear, my frustration at that point was there were some trolls who knew full well the situation but were starting trouble...and then there were others who popped in and resurrected the questions and discussion when it had been covered many times and a simple search of this or the NETCOm thread would have answered all their questions. I have never had a problem with somebody expecting service or quality products for their money.

Nope...Still no word. Tomorrow will be 7 weeks.

In my mind if the man is taking orders while in a tuff situation I doubt he is putting his all and best into his juices at the moment and wouldn't recommend anyone to try his liquids and I will sell his stuff if I ever get it lol luckly I can laugh about it im sure others cant.

I see...so you feel it may be sub-par liquid, so much so that you wont vape it, and so much so that you wouldn't recommend it to anyone...but you WILL nonetheless sell this allegedly inferior product to some unsuspecting sap

Unbelievable (how's that for a BJ rant? 1 word)

I've sent Clay messages on Facebook, and have also posted on his page. Unfortunately even though I see that he comes and goes, I have not received any responses. Oh well! I have nothing negative to say about my experiences with him or his juices. I wonder if he still has the Jazz pipe that he bought from me. :)

Agreed. The one complaint I have not heard, not one single time, is that someone let their order ride and never received their juices. To my knowledge everyone who placed an order and waited this out received their juice eventually. I hope that remains the case because I have been without Organic Spirit for WAY too long.

I'm going to place another order with NET.com shortly, now that I've had a chance to sample most of his juices and decided on my favorites. If he flops and I lose my money, meh, I'm OK with that, I'd rather lose the money to someone who seems to at least be trying to overcome severe adversity rather than some bankster or politician huckster. And, who knows, maybe the orders of those who are willing to take a small risk are the tiny bit of oomph that helps him come out the other side of this crisis. Lord knows I've donated to far less worthy causes.

One more thing I have never seen is that the liquid is less than good.

I must say that even though Clay is/was NET.com, when I speak about the company, that is really all I am speaking about. I will always appreciate the man and keep my feelings for him separate from my feelings about how the business has played out.

Hopefully, Clay will be able to look past all the hoo-ha and see the kernel of compliment at the core - the re-hashing and the public venting have gone on for so long because despite circumstances, people keep ordering the juice. If it was bad, or even ordinary, folks would have stopped taking the risk a long time ago and the clamor would have died down.

Soooo...I'm finally brewing up my first test batch of homemade NETs!!!!!!

Reading all of the reviews of everyone's home extractions really inspired me to get to it. All of my equipment just arrived today - (PG, VG, filter felt, mini coffee press, 15ml & 30ml bottles), and I've been sitting on 7oz of pipe tobacco and a single cigar from pipesandcigars.com for about a week. It's been taking everything I have to not just pull out my old pipe and smoke a few bowls...

Here's what I'm working with:

Pipes:

Sutliff Cream Soda - Aromatic - Burley/Virginia blend cased with vanilla and caramel (When I read the description, I thought "hey, it's like an analog RY4" :)
Hearth & Home Signature Steamroller - Burley, Cavendish, Latakia, Perique, Virginia
McClelland No. 403 Darkest Chocolate - Aromatic - Black Cavendish cased with chocolate
Newminster No. 403 Superior Round Slices - Aromatic - Virginia wrapped around Dark Fired Kentucky
Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bulls Eye Flake - Virginia & Perique wrapped around Black Cavendish
Sherlock Holmes Pipe Club VR Blend - Non- Aromatic - Cavendish, Perique, Virginia

And the cigar:

Diesel Unlimited Maduro

I started with 3 - the Diesel, VR Blend, and the Stokkebye Bulls Eye Flake. Just put them in small mason jars, covered them with 80/20 PG/VG, lids on, warm water bath. I did half of the cigar, which took about 100ml to cover, and about half an ounce each of the pipe tobaccos - about 50ml each. We'll see how they look on Wednesday...

I'm super excited about this experiment - thanks for the inspiration and the information sharing here that gave me the courage to even give it a go!

Burley tobacco has Perique, Oriental tobacco has Latakia, and now Virginia tobacco has Cajun Black. Cajun Black is Virginia tobacco grown in southern Kentucky that uses multi-staged fire curing and Perique-style oak barrel fermenting to create a new tobacco component.

Dustmight extracted McClelland Royal Cajun Special pipe tobacco that uses that new component, Cajun Black. It's an all Virginia blend that also includes a couple dark stoved Virginias and yellow Virginia.

This pipe blend is very good and has unique flavor notes. The grassy goodness of Virginia is there, plus a smokiness provided by the fire cured leaves, but there's also the new flavor that obviously comes from the Cajun Black. It's sort of like Perique, but lacks the body and darker, funkier notes. It feels fermented more than actually tasting fermented. I am a fan.

At only 15% extract, it's full flavored. It's also quite dark. But..... big but..... it's pretty gunky. After an hour, my IGO-S is spent, and sadly it started losing some of the better flavor notes fairly soon. Not complaining, it was a free juice sent by a home-brewer, but if this was my exaction I'd want to figure out ways to improve the filtering.

That is one of my favorite juices I have tried in a long time. Definitely a unique and tasty blend.

Please let us know how the Sutliff Cream Soda translates to e juice. Sounds delicious!

Also McClelland No. 403 Darkest Chocolate and Newminster No. 403 Superior Round Slices.

Yeah, and as I've mentioned, other vendors have temporarily shut down in the past, due to having too many orders.

I honestly hope Clay will use this approach if this is the situation.

However...

*looks downwards at rdsok's & shatner's signatures*

I don't think the flow of orders is going to stop anytime soon.

The word is out, and nothing we do or say is going to stop it.

After I received my first (and only, thus far) order from NETCOM, I was recommending them to several people trying to stop smoking; I am not without fault and considered that Clay might appreciate the increased business, as around this time there was what I perceived as "the accelerated burst of orders being completed leading to being fully caught-up shortly thereafter", however, there's no way that my 10-15 or so recommendations (half of which were to analog users) actually caused another 1,000 orders to accrue.

That is, unless I was talking to some pretty influential people.

Oh, man... ...the MIB's are gonna be after me, next.

I think Clay, himself, is going to need to take the next step if he wants the orders to stop flowing in long enough to destroy any sort of queue he's got right now in order to "return things to normal", so to speak.

:tumble:

I won't beat an overworked horse any longer.

I'm simply going to order where I've been ordering and work on fine-tuning my wicks, making a little list of 3-5 'baccos for a maceration, and getting some mason jars together for a good soak in a dark, dark place.

I'll worry about filtering them later on, but I am trying to figure out what micron size I actually want to filter down to.

I'm not trying to put the stuff through a reverse-osmosis setup, but ya know- I still wonder what is going to be optimal.

Like most hobbies, I'm sure I'll take this one seriously enough to make it become work for me.

That doesn't mean I'm going to start a business, mind you. I just take my hobbies too seriously for my own good. :p

--------------------------------------------------

EDIT: Went to add an all-Cavendish sampler to my MvJ order, at the top I noticed this;

ITEMS LISTED HERE ARE CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK
Ashton Artisan's Blend Pipe Tobacco
5 Vegas Cask-Strength Cigar

--------------------------------------------------

Now, I'm really grateful I didn't vape up all the Ashton and let it sit for a while alongside the Dunhill Early Morning.

I still have about 4 or so ml left of 5VCS (I'm just going to call it 5VCS from now on and refer to Ashton's as AAB if/when she gets more of their tobaccos on the site.) remaining, and even without an added flavor shot that one is developing nicely - even though it was ordered as an STP product, it is still developing, mind you. Much like a fine cigar itself does over time.

Odd that the juice's aging process shares similar characteristics to the parent tobaccos but works from the bottom up, so to speak.

After ...well, however many days it's been since I got the MvJ order, the Ashton has developed an entirely different taste and smell to the nose of the juice bottle itself. I wish I could explain that, but I can't. Might as well enjoy this one in moderation as I only have a half-full bottle of Latakia that Mann pif'ed me remaining.

I'll stick with The Captain for now. :D

I'll still be sad once the Captain Black Royal (aka "The Captain") is all vaped up, but that'll just make room for his compatriots in the juice drawer. That means moving all the DEV PIFs to the Dungeon.

 It must be done. It pains me to do so, but....

:lol::lol::lol:

Sorry, I couldn't hold it in any longer.

Anyhow, I'm enjoying trying these different Cavendish offerings.

Diane has done quite well, IMO, to have developed a juice that can keep me away from pretty much every other juice while I vape it, trying to figure out what I'm tasting that has me so intrigued with the juice.

I have felt this way three times; 1. When first trying HHV's Gandalf (now Legend.); 2. GeJ's Acadian Gold, which completely caused me to ignore VB as I tried to figure out exactly what was making me so polarized to the juice. 3. Bombay and Balkan. 'Nuff said.

However, I don't think I want to miss out on getting more of The Captain. So torn right now. I might just order a big bottle of CBR/The Captain (Captain Black Royal) and enjoy it through the steeping process.

...And to everyone who bought out the Ashton AB & 5VCS; Thank you for leaving my new favorite juice alone.

& To everyone about to run out of the Ashton; Order The Captain- Quickly.

I can't guarantee you'll love it, but if you like Cavendish, you don't have anything to lose, and a whole new level and spectrum of flavor to gain. I didn't even know I liked Cavendish this darned much, but apparently, I do.

EDIT 2: Oh, and if you don't like it, I'll see you in the PIF thread. :thumb:

(Though please, give it a week or two before you decide to give it away.)

:)

I decided to make a new one.

Anyhow,

The next MvJ order I have made consists of nothing but Cavendish tobaccos.

The Sampler;

1. Flavor 1: Drew Estate Toasted Black Cavend
- 1. Flavor 2: Captain Black Dark Pipe Tobacco
- 1. Flavor 3: Captain Black Regular Pipe Tobac

...Apparently the ends of the names are truncated...anyhow; the meat of the order was this:

Captain Black Royal Pipe Tobacco

74ml BULK SIZE

Everything feels at peace. A Brobdingnagian-sized bottle of The Captain.

BULK SIZE

I think I'll sleep soundly tonight. :D

BULK SIZE

That's what will be echoing through my mind when I fall asleep tonight, and when I go to stalk the postman in a couple of days.

I am going to make my best attempt to not vape that bottle for at least a week, thus the purpose of the sampler bottles will be served. How a liquid develops when I first receive it, as in the taste during the steeping, is quite important to how I will enjoy it overall.

Liquids that fail this test often do not fully satisfy me after steeping, so I quite literally don't bother with steeping at the forefront unless I immediately know that I should save some of a liquid just to see how it ends up developing, else I demolish it and try to salvage drops from a near-empty bottle down the line.

The Captain passed this test with flying colors.

BULK SIZE

I think that about sums it up. :)

EDIT; I'd forgotten to mention, I've finally made it down to 18mg nic again. The RBA is just too intense with 18mg Shadow in it, so I'm trying to standardize my juice across the board and get my nic levels down a little bit more.

For reference, the MvJ order I received last time was mixed to 20mg/ml approximately.

The previous order was 21, directly from 24mg/ml.

I am reminded of my run-in with 36mg/ml (Lordie, no, not in the RBA, I might be insane, but I'm not suicidal!).

A puff or two of 36mg/ml was enough for me to think, "This is a bad idea." and give back to the person who offered it to me.

Brobdingnagian,

As far as I'm concerned ... It isn't any of your business what sig/banner that myself or anyone else happens to have but you should still pay more attention.... I had removed the NET.com banner a couple of days ago... I see Shatner has now also done the same... I'm almost tempted to replace it now... just in spite of your comment.
