I have also tried many of the vendors, A+ to C's. I will mention that Vermillion River's KY4 is rated higher IMO. There are so many unique flavors, such as Halo's Tribeca, no NET, that I find very good. I was very pleased with MOV's FVF before the "discovery" and since then the flavor is just not the same. I was ordering 30 mls. on a regular basis. Now, I just don't like it! Is it just me or has it changed that much?

I'm still on my first bottle of MOV FVF RY4---now 18 months old---so I don't know if the formula or flavorings has changed since FVF came out. I like it, but not as much as some people do/did. It's sometimes difficult to figure out when we lose our taste for a certain juice whether the juice changed or we did.

EDIT: Yes, both FVF RY4 and Gambler were discovered to contain trace elements of diacetyl and were recalled by MOV, which then reforumlated both juices, changing Gambler's name to Rambler.

Yeah, I had a little back and forth with Wlad about that very thing. For the most part (setting aside one bottle that was off), I just don't care for any of the Aromatics anymore. What's funny is that a couple years ago he told me that would happen, but then again, he also said one day I would dig menthol. He couldn't be right about everything! Could he? Menthol?!?!? Perish the thought!

I recently tried KY4...and did so side by side with FVF RY4 (NET) and MVJ RY4 (synthetic. It was...not bad. I wouldn't toss it out and even enjoyed it. I have done maybe 10 RY4 and for me it was mid tier. MVJ was a much more nuanced and well stated RY4 IMHO, while Highbrow was a couple few notches below it for sure.

I am really curious how RBFS Killr Y4 is. I ain't ordering any until I see some feedback.

I have. I'm enjoying it. I'm not really an expert on Turkish blends... I've only had Humpback and Sahara. This one has a solid tobacco flavor with a mild, natural sweetness to it. Similar to what I remember of Humpback, but I think I like this one better. Doesn't seem to gunk up coils too fast either.

Awesome! Nomad is on my list of NETs to try from Ether. Love a good Turkish blend.

MVJ Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey Pipe Tobacco.. loaded up in a KFL. Took to work this morning. Bottle going back into steep box..

There's nothing there yet. Mild hint of alcohol, with no tobacco presence.

I have a feeling it's going to be a while before it gets to this:

From PipesandCigar: "Selected quality, bright aromatic Virginia and rich cool-smoking Burley tobaccos are blended to give an exquisite taste and aroma, enhanced by the finest Kentucky Bourbon whiskey traditionally matured for over 8 years to develop its full complex flavour."

From CigarsInternational: "Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey utilizes less Black Cavendish than the other Borkum Riff blends, but offers an even richer, more aromatic taste thanks to the addition of genuine Kentucky Bourbon whiskey. Distinctive in taste and aroma, this one's a real treat. "

Carlos Torano Noventa Cigar getting loaded up in it's stead..

I got my menthol phase over with early in my vaping life. I still order the very occasional cooling juice, the last two were peppermint and both really good (Halo's Kringle and Ahlusion's Sleighride). Mints/menthols are enjoyable on-the-go, but I can't see vaping a straight cooling juice while dripping at home.

Menthol with tobacco is blasphemy (even though my last cig brand was Pall Mall menthols lol). I can't see ordering a NET that has menthol, but I got Halo's newsletter recently that they have a new menthol tobacco vape. Made me go, hmmmmmmm, maybe I will. Halo kicks ... with menthol and mint.

At the end of the first 24 hours of my NET'speriment, I decided to take a little taste of the Diesel Maduro extraction in process. Took a dropper and carefully pulled a few drops from the mason jar. 7 drops straight onto my Igo-L...wow! It's strong, bold, full cigar-in-your-face tasty! No nic, no dilutants, and I'm still getting a fair throat hit and full body from it. Vaped the wick nearly dry and then dripped some MVJ Centurion onto it - whoa! OK...the cigar is still there, like, completely - actually a bit more nuanced and complex with the Centurion rounding out the flavor. I find the Centurion to be extremely mild and light, so it suits the flavor of the Diesel very well. Man, I can't wait until this stuff gets to hour 72...

About 15 years ago, I was a straight menthol smoker, full-on, two packs a day. When I started vaping, I tried a couple menthol juices - my favorites being GEJ's NET Menthol and Halo HX3. But I never re-ordered either of them. Actually still have a few mls of the GEJ kicking around in my juice deep storage. Menthol just doesn't do it for me anymore. Give me tobacco or give me nothin'! I'm so glad I found NETs or I most likely would have started smoking again. I haven't found any other e-liquid flavors that satisfy me at all in the way that NETs do.

It's funny how that works. I know plenty of non-menthol cig smokers that end up mainly vape menthol too.

My first kit was a KR808 dealio, which I chose menthol cartos since I was a menthol smoker. I didn't know jack about vaping, but assumed if it took off for me I'd stick to that. Tried the flavor cartos sampler the company offered for the heck of it (vanilla, chocolate, coffee, cherry... the standards) which opened up a world of flavor that I wanted to discover. Took a while to find NETs, but I was hooked pretty quick when I did, and have been since.

Ha! I went the 808 route as well for my first e-cig. Man, I can't believe I spent as much as I did on that kit. From the get-go, I was in search of a tobacco flavor that sated my cravings for the real thing. Very quickly, I learned that just doesn't exist. When I found VapeRite, I ordered a big bottle of his Organic NET and tried to fill my 808 cartos with it. I got maybe 5-10 drags before each one turned into a leaky, gurgly, clogged-up mess. Actually, that experience is what led me to ECF. Wish I had found this forum before I dropped all that $ - would have saved me a couple of hardware headaches as well...

I went with KGO kits. Several of them. Didn't much care for the cartridge/atomizer combination that shipped with them, hated cartomizers a little bit less (mm...burnt polyfill) and finally discovered the CE3/4/5's and DCA's (dual-coil-atomizers) from CoV.

all of the top-coil clearomizers (yes, I'm talking to you, Stardust) frustrated me to no end, and I developed a hatred for silica wicks after some botched dry-burns made my HHV juice taste like burnt parchment paper.

The phoenix was a little bit better, despite being hit or miss. Utterly hated the phoenix top coil, but the bottom coil was interesting and I started to seek out similar & better devices.... which is when I discovered the EVOD.

Something that I didn't need a needle to fill that didn't gobble juice like there was no tomorrow? I was sold.

Finally, I got sick of failing KGO batteries (and shoddy return policies/ defective replacement batteries) and started looking for a better way to vape. Enter the Vision Spinner.

My first one still works after over a year.

I also use the same EVOD. The finish/paint has begun to peel a little bit at the edges, but I've dropped this thing who knows how many times and now use my modified coils in it.

I probably won't get an EVOD2. I learned my lesson about dual-coils with the iClear16 and figured it was too much hassle to coil it.

RBA's have so many options that make it easy to decide and fiddle with them.

Things have come such a long way from i06 atomizers with drip shields and sealed 510 connectors, it's not even funny, and that's fairly recent as well in relative terms.

Finding ECF was what led to those KGO orders, ironically, but also led to me discovering the Spinners.

If everything hadn't happened exactly the way it did, I would probably still be on analogs, though.

I vape Juicy Peach/White Peach/Menthol.

While I am vaping a nice NET on another mod.

Don't Judge :D

No judgements from me, I have a kiwi marshmellow flavor loaded in one mod. Another has Poet & Scholar, and in the third I loaded up Voodoo from Halo....

Yelp! This is NOT like my recent Southern Classic Halo experience that I loved. Something is seriously off here lol. I just may have to take back what I said about never leaving a cap off and take Jef's advice about airing this out. There's a potentially good flavor buried under a very unpleasant flavor. Man, hope this changes with cap off for a night. I'm skeptical, but willing to try. This right now is just.. nope.

I know MOV changed the recipe for FVF RY4 a few months back due to diacetyl found to be in the caramel flavoring. I absolutely loved the old version, and this one not as much much. Still a great liquid, but the new caramel just does't jive as well with the Virginia as the previous. Guess there's truth to the adage that the worse it is for ya, the better it tastes. :)

That's strange, since Voodoo didn't need the breathing -- Southern Classic does. In fact, I had received an advance tester bottle of Halo's Voodoo before the description was even on the website, and I dove right in. I thought it was a chocolate banana vape :) I put it aside and let it breath overnight and came back to it, and then the white grape and black currant (otherwise known as "berry flavor") revealed itself, along with the touch of cinnamon and Madagascar vanilla. It took a while to pick up any plum notes, and I usually get that flavor from NETs pretty quickly.

While Voodoo, in my experience, didn't really need the breathing like SC did, it helped bring out the true flavors. Occasionally I'll get those chocolate notes, but they are like a unicorn. Voodoo was a great teacher for me, since it is highly complex flavor-wise. And because I enjoyed it, I my vaping journey changed as much as the first time I tried NET, and then again with HHV Heavenly Army (dessert-type sweetness). I still enjoy Halo's Voodoo and Southern Classic, I just can't vape them for long because of the high PG content. Just kills my throat.

Hopefully it'll turn around for you, Jerms.

While I love eating chocolate mint candies and ice cream, I could never stand menthol cigarettes or wintergreen. Menthol just tastes medicinal and I hated the cooling sensation down my throat when I did try menthol cigarettes. It's like an anti-throat hit.

Halo's Shamrock tasted exactly like a thin mint cookie, but it felt like menthol. Same with GeJ's Grasshopper (RIP): it reminded me of menthol -- just the thought of inhaling mint, when it should be melting over my tongue. Just doesn't play well in my brain :)
