Anthony is right. I reported yesterday morning that the flavour in the MVJ juices I have received are very mild as well, and I asked for extra extract. I did fire up the Carlos Torano Noventa cigar last night, and it was head and shoulders above the Bourbon Whiskey pipe tobacco I tried earlier yesterday.

Both were vaped at around 11 or so watts.

It could just be that the Cigars come around faster than the pipes, but I'm curious to see how they all steep as well.

I plan on trying a KFL worth of all the juices, and then letting them steep for another month or two before going back to them.

MVJ and Vperite are my two favorites of the naturals (I don't use any (non natural's)after sampling as many as I could find the last couple months.

I know I'm still a newbie but I appreciate MJV. I think people see the well filtered extraction and psychologically think its actually lower % on tobacco than it actually is. I get great flavor the way I vape. Usually thru hard pulls thru the aerotank. About half way thru the second pull I get a strong tobacco flavor (today I've been vaping centurion.) To my MVJ has terrific vape/steam production and that is an important feature especially if you still crave cigs a little. Their filtering process I think must be outstanding,

I would love to see it ( I'm a chemical engineer specializing in paints/coatings), so I deal with filtering a lot at my job. Anyway some of the vendors just don't quite filter enough for when your working or away from home and don't have the time or tools to mess with their e-cig device. Now I'll admit when I get home from work I steer towards the more gunky stuff but away from home they can lead to disasters, nothing like being 2 hrs into a 12 hr shift and something goes wrong, it could lead to grabbing the nearest analog cigarette(s) one can find. There are seriously many ways to filter solvents/extracts, the petroleum industry uses vibrating filters, gun manufactuers use high speed presses (Oberlins) for their parkerization. This e-juice industry is in its infancy and hopefully if the FDA doesn't kill it, there will be advancements and prices could go down a ton.

I think filtering and steeping are related a bit, but now I'm just rambling.

MyVaporJuice.com has a lot of plus's that I think people are overlooking a bit.

I did order a bottle of their Blue Danube extract by mistake so I'm looking for an excel program or maybe an app for calculating creating a 24mg nic e-juice. I could do the math with a pen, paper, and calculator but when I'm off work I don't feel like thinking

Sigh.. Ok, after an airing out and spending some time with Halo's Voodoo I gotta admit, it's wonderful. It's true, years later I still love Halo, King of the Lab-baccos.

I couldn't agree more with that statement! I have just about every tobacco flavor they offer and enjoy the diversity of each and every one!

Regal55, there are several DIY calculators on line used for mixing. One is ejuicemeup by breakthrough software. On my phone or I would add a link.

pardon the typos, on my phone :)

I made a quick excel and mixed up the MJV blue Danube. I saw a post in this thread that they average 15% on their stock, so I made it 18% just a little more extract. Wow this is great, vaping with my VTR and the first batch of fastech's aerotank clone. Absolutely fabulous.

It really only takes a little time to mix up their extract, you can get the VG&PG from amazon and the nic from Wizard labs. This way you can't complain that they are too weak on extract its up to the customer to chose how they wish. I didn't do the math but I bet its less expensive too, and no messy filtering

While I was searching on Pipes and Cigars website I noticed this profile...

Sutliff Private Stock Mountain Pass

Mountain Pass will certainly find its way into your rotation if you enjoy the smooth-smoking qualities of black Cavendish - rich and sweet, bearing a warm and creamy vanilla/caramel note.

My question has anyone here ever smoked (or vaped) this blend?
Also has anyone tried this in a home extract?

I'm wondering if this would make a decent RY4 type vape without added flavorings.

A Google search turned up this user review of Sutliff Private Stock Mountain Pass:

"A black and Golden cavendish aromatic with a creamy, buttery vanilla custard flavor. By intent, you won’t get much tobacco taste here, except for a touch of honey from the Gold cavendish. Coarse cut with some ribbon, and lightly moist, the entrancing aroma from the tin translates well to the flavor of the smoke and room note. Burns even and cool with no bite, with a rich consistency of taste from start to finish. It somewhat reminds me of Boston Cream Pie with a little extra chocolate."

Vanilla custard, chocolate, and no mention of caramel at all. Doesn't sound much like an RY4 to me.

But it sounds very tasty :)

Well, for us dessert NETizens, at least.

A few weeks ago I did a rather negative review of True Leaf's Midnight. It has turned into another lesson learned - Don't review a juice right out of the mail. This very dark and thick juice has steeped into a very complex but well balanced, flavorful vape.

I am roasting the crow right now and chewing down my previous comments.

This is a really good English type vape. One of only a few I have tried, where the Latakia is not overwhelming the other flavors.

So, chomp....chomp......gulp.

Yes, for sweet hybrid NET lovers, that combination of flavors might be yummy. And, of course, a single user review doesn't qualify as the final word on anything. The only way to know for sure if Sutliff Private Stock Mountain Pass might be a decent NET-based RY4 or a good general dessert-style NET would be to buy a tin of the pipe tobacco and extract it. Maybe one of us will...

Hey Bill,
I was thinking of trying QuickNic's sample pack. Do you like the majority of their NET's? Do you have suggestions beside's your favorite to try from this vendor?
Would be greatly appreciative of this!!!;)

nanusic,

I've had four NETs from QuickNic: Grandpa's Nightcap, Habana Daydream, Kuba Kuba, and ouR whY qu4tro. Of those, Grandpa's and Habana were OK, I didn't like Kuba Kuba at all, and ouR whY was the big winner.

QuickNic is an A-tier NET vendor, so you're pretty safe ordering an NET from them. The problem for me in making a recommendation (besides the fact that I know nothing about your palate or vaping preferences) is that I've been completely kidnapped by my own and others' homemade natural tobacco extracts. These days, I'm pretty much out of the game where retail NETs are concerned, except for the occasional swap or freebie. Yes, I did swap for bottles of House of Liquid Cigarillos and Puros Naturalles recently, I finally broke down and bought a bottle of Ahlusion Caramel Wild Wood, and Brian of River Bottom Fog Sauce gifted me with two of his new NETs---Admiral's Pipe and KillR Y4 (I just reviewed that one for the RY4 thread), but still, in the retail NET game, I'm mostly a bench-sitter now.

Sample packs are generally a good way to check out a vendor's offerings, especially for those of us who aren't independently-wealthy trust-fund babies.

Thank you, my friend! I sure wouldn't mind being a recipient of some good ole' homemade elixir's! It sound's devine!

Godznilla is very smooth and satisfying. I'm haven't tried their RY4 but it gets good reviews too. Beware their first selection bottles are very small.

I couldn't agree more with that statement! I have just about every tobacco flavor they offer and enjoy the diversity of each and every one!

There really is a great diversity with the artificial tobaccos Halo offers, each one offers a very different experience. A couple haven't worked for me, like the Turkish, but that one I'm willing to try again to see if my mind changed on it since it's been a while.

I still have Voodoo loaded up, I'm amazed at the complete change of opinion I had in just a day. I also have Bill's extraction of Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 cigar NET loaded in another set-up since last night. Switching between these two kept me happy for several hours last night and all of today so far. They are great companion vapes. I kind of want to switch to something else and kind of want to keep going on this. Hmmmmm... choices, choices.

About home-brewed NETs: I've read a lot of useful info in this forum, but its been rather fragmentary. Any recommendations for where I can I find all the essential info in a concise format, like a DIY NET "walkthrough"?

Concise? All in one location? Easy-peasy-Japanesey? I don't think so. You'll have to work a little harder than that. LOL.

Numerous ECF threads are devoted to home extraction of natural tobacco. Here are links to three of them:

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea
Pipe and Cigar Extraction
Cold Maceration of Tobacco

My favorite, by far, is Tribeca! Freedom juice runs a close 2nd. They are not NET, but they are so different! Longhorn, yum yum....
Sorry, I could just keep going down the list.
And, to think, a year ago when I first quit smoking, the last thing I wanted was anything tobacco flavored. Now, it incorporates the majority of my stash. Oh, how the palate changes!!!

Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Churchill Cigar is not only the single best extract I've ever done (in my opinion), it will also soon become the first of my extracts to be completely used up by sharing. Happily, I saw that coming and bought a sampler pack of ten different Rocky Patel cigars, which have now arrived. Five of those will constitute my next batch of extractions. I hope I can keep my expectations in check, since every batch has its own warp and woof.

It is indeed a pretty awesome maduro home-brew.

I decided to switch juices but keep the same maduro/arti theme so have MVJ Camache Triple Maduro Cigar loaded in one dripper and Long Bottom Leaf in another (meant to drip for Heartland Vapes RY4 but accidently dripped LBL, but I'm going with it). MVJ's Maduro is much lighter than Bills Patel. I'm enjoying the first few vapes, just not sure how long it'll keep my attention for, especially alonside the much more potent LBL.
