It was Brandy flavored from a concentrate. I think I got it back, see what a week's steeping produces.

I've put my recipes on two different flash drives and will back up one every time I do a new recipe.

I bought a Corsair 32 mb SSD for my PC. I think it bought it after two years. Not sure, it might be the video card. I'm too lazy to fix it. Probably go back to it when this laptop fries.

Sorry I haven't been posting much/ had time to catch up. Hectic week. Doctor stuff and all that.

Time for another short post;

Check this out for cleaning your PC/laptops out.

Just make sure you've got them and the fans/AC off;

METRO ED-500 DataVac Electric Duster 500 White - Newegg.com

Highly recommended you take the item to be dusted outside, because there WILL be clouds of stuff flying out of your PC. Use a plastic part of a pen to stabilize your fans so they don't spin wildly in the wrong direction.

& you can get the same product off of Amazon for less, admittedly.

But it's one heck of an upgrade over canned air. Really. It also blasts dust off of everything else and makes my vacuum cleaner jealous with it's forceful power to dislodge dust from just about any surface.

Nick-nacks and vaping supplies will become airborne, so move them.

:D

But yeah, you could easily knock dust off of hard to reach areas with that monster.

Just make sure you clean the air intake filter at the bottom after each use.

^^^^^ With a blow tip ^^^^^^

It is the only thing that will keep an HAF case with 4 video cards and even more extra fans for everything clean.

Thing is a freaking blackhole for every dust particle in a 5 mile radius.

OK guys and gals, I'm relatively new to the tobacco's, but thoroughly enjoying this thread and trying new things.

I just recently ordered three ARO's from Ahlusion (Smokin Cherries, Sweet Georgia Peach and Cocoa Blend).

For those who have tried them, do they taste better than they smell? Do they benefit from some aging? Right now they smell very pharmaceutical. Nothing like what I was expecting.

I revisited GeJ's Organic #1 last night after the recent discussion. Dripped it over a 1.2 ohm micro-coil in the mini-RDA on a mech with a fresh battery. I'm not certain the liquid's age, since it was a PIF, so I'll wager about a year old, 12mg nic, and the color of dirty motor oil.

Smoky Burley brilliance with a sweet center; smooth, dark, a touch of fire curing bite on the exhale. Hasn't lost any punch from what I recall from fresher batches. I haven't vaped Organic #1 in a month or 2, but with the discussion needed to see for myself how well this one was surviving the steeping process.

So far, so good ;)

The aros from Ahl have a pretty odd smell. Luckily, they don't taste like they smell. Give them a try, they don't need any steeping. They are pretty polarizing NETs; they won't work at all for a lot of people but many love them. Sweet Georgia Peach is my favorite fruit tobacco ever, the peach is amazing. If they aren't your thing and are 12mg nic, I'll happily trade you for all three if I have something you'd want.

No IME they don't change

Count me out on Alhusion, its great that some people like it. But you all know my opinion as to why their process doesn't produce a natural tobacco e-juice any more than Aroma.

Hey i am looking for some advice on Analog and Patriot from Gej. After i have vaped about 1-2ml of these the wick gets completely burnt and the juice goes from a golden color to a muddy brown. I currently only have a mini protank 2 and a evod with cotton wicking, but this setup works perfectly fine with other juices. Usually i can go 2-3 days of vaping until the wick gets slightly burnt. I never go above 3.8-4v. Is there a technique i can use to prevent the wicks from burning so quickly on the NET's? Thanks for any advice!

A couple ml of GeJ in a ProTank sounds about right. NETs, especially macerated ones like GeJ and the majority of others, gunk up a coil quicker than synthetic juices. Some will do it under a ml and some will last for several ml. NETs vape best in a dripping atomizer or a rebuildable. Something that's easy to dry burn helps. Steam distilled NETs like HHV and Ahl's non-aro line are much cleaner on coils and work better in clearos than the macerated NETs. Highly filtered NETs like MVJ work fine too if you don't mind the much lighter tobacco impact that comes with those ultra-clean macerations.

I am going to assume you meant Aromae and not aroma as 'smell'.

I can hear the grinding of your axe all the way over here in Australia, Regal. Lol

There are different ways of experiencing tobacco.

1) through taste which involves macerations.
2) through 'feel' which the WTA extraction method provides by approximating the full chemical profile of nicotine in tobacco. The mouthfeel, throat hit and effect on the brain mimics tobacco ( and in my opinion enhanced the flavor of most NETs)

I personally like both, together, if possible.

Is the extraction of full spectrum nicotine from tobacco defined as 'tobacco extraction'? The knee jerk answer would be no.

Is that accurate though? After all, nicotine is naturally derived from tobacco and hence extracting nicotine, particularly when the extraction is whole tobacco alkaloids, does raise some interesting definition parameters.

Different types of tobacco produce unique nicotine profile characteristics. The spread of different alkaloids/chemicals varies in each type of tobacco as far as I know. If the whole nicotine chemical make up is extracted from a tobacco then why is it not 'tobacco extraction' ?

As NETizens we are concerned with flavour of tobacco so the themes of WTA extraction and Tobacco extraction are divorced and segregated because their function to users needs are different. NET users want to replicate the flavor of a tobacco, WTA users want to replicate the feel, throat hit and neurochemical effect of WTA.

Now I am not a chemist but surely it's intuitive that the two processes of extraction share similar traits.

My best guess is that difference lies in the magnitude of the extraction. With macerations that are aimed at flavour extraction, a larger molecular compound is being extracted. With nicotine extraction, a smaller, more minute, simpler molecular compound is being extracted.

Apparently, you are a chemist and have hinted at knowing a thing or two about this, so perhaps you can provide an explanation that is perhaps more instructive than just merely hinting that ahlusions extraction techniques are inferior somehow.

We can all disagree on this, and that's okay because we are all mature adults and benevolent souls wanting the same thing and walking a common ground :)

Jerms' response is correct. I'll add a little to it.

In my experience, compared to synthetic, lab-based flavorings, all natural tobacco extracts leave more residue---primarily from cellulose particulates suspended in the liquid---on coils (as crusted, burned-on carbon) and wicks (as discoloring gunk). Steam-distilled extraction is the cleanest of the different techniques, but even NETs made with steam-distilled extracts will eventually "clog up" coils/wicks---diminishing their ability to produce full flavor and vapor. The solutions are dry-burning coils and swapping out wicks, or rebuilding coils with new wicks. (Some wicking material---cotton, hemp, ekowool, to name a few---cannot be dry-burned; the wick must be swapped out. Silica wicks can be dry-burned once or twice, but they eventually become brittle and lose their wicking ability.)

Hard-and-fast rules here may have notable exceptions, but in general---especially with macerated extracts---more flavor equals more/faster crusting/gunking. Lighter-colored juices are usually cleaner in performance. Also, cigars tend to produce cleaner extracts than pipe or cig/RYO blends.

In honor of their first birthday, Nirvana Vapor (home of True Leaf NETs) is having a two-day, 40% off sale (coupon code: "HappybdayNV").

I don't recall being overly impressed right out of the mail with their 4 NETs I ordered awhile back, but I'll be revisiting them this weekend to see if any are worthy of reordering. They were a little thick and syrupy and seemed to be made for sub-ohm dripping, which I don't do. If I recall, the one flavor I did kind of like was Amber (a Turkish blend).

If i were to try HHV which juice would you recommend that is close to Gej's Analog? It is by far the best juice i have ever tried, but hopefully i can find something that doesn't burn so quickly. Might i ask how a dripper would improve the experience?

I have MVJ's whole Drew Estate Pipe line enroute. Plus, Cohiba Red Dot is on the way. The sucktastic part is I need to let everything sit at least two weeks.

Anybody have suggestions about what I should try first?

I'd guess the Cohiba, a fairly straight-forward Cigar juice. juices with more complex/ multiple flavor notes would benefit more from the steep, allowing the flavors to blend, become smoother and mature.
