Does anyone who vat NETS especially DIY NETS not use rebuildable tanks. After spending about a month with KFL clones (ephro and Tribeca) I am about to throw in the towel. I can build maybe on good one out of a dozen. Probably me arthritis/shakey hands. I use an Aerotank. You can pull hard on the aerotank and that may be part of me problem with the KFL's. Coil life is about 2 day. It gets expensive but I guess I am debated whether to throw in the towel with the KLF or keep trying. Untstand this is from a guy whos other hobby is building 600V tube amp (DC!) and SMD DAC, I' generally very good at DIY but have some sort of mental block with the KLF, I've wasted so much ejuice that I am taking a serious look at discontinuing my KLF endevour.

BCC's like my Anyvape Davide (like a pt2) works great, micro-coil, cotton/rayon wick, easy to dry burn and re-wick.

No trouble with gurgling, flooding, or dry hits.

Colin Powell alert, lol.

Oh, Trabuco Vapors. What can I say about them? I am having major difficulty putting thoughts into words. Or maybe I'm over thinking this.

I have very little experience with pipe tobaccos and vapes. Even more inexperience with cigar vapes and tobaccos. I read with varying levels of understanding posts in this thread and truly appreciate the knowledge and experiences of whatever you vape.

On to Trabuco....given my history of liking NET vapes, but really only having tried a few vendors mentioned in this thread (Ahlusion, Heather's Heavenly Vapes, Goodejuice), coupled with me never really having tried any "straight tobaccos" and only having tried two "pipe and cigar" vapes, I read with great interest y'alls descriptions of them. :)

With alladat said , I had no idea what to expect from Trabuco's offerings. Would they make me grow hair on my chest a la Ahlusion's aromatics? Would they have an artificial or poser quality to them? I just didn't know.

In my week with them, they've been neither of the aforementioned. Truthfully, I just find them merely vapeable [sic]. I don't think they're gross or artificial. The base tobacco used seems very familiar to me, but I don't know how. I've never smoked a pipe and never been around pipe smokers, but the taste of, I believe Virginia, is one that I recognize. I'm only guessing that the Virginia is the identifiable tobacco in these vapes for me only because it's the common tobacco according to all 4 bottles' labels. Please feel free to learn me, lol, if I have this wrong.

I tried them all and found them all to be adequate. I am enjoying Blackstar (Virginia, Burley, Graham Cracker) the most.

Capistrano makes me really notice the rum used to extract the tobacco. The blueberry in it seems to have helped distract this liquid. Or distinguish it from the others if you're a half-full glass type of person, ha.

Silverado I suppose qualifies as my 3rd straight tobacco vape. The other two being Ahlusion's Sahara Blend and Sweet Virginia, though those two are not as straight as straight tobacco vapes can be. Silverado was not as straight as I expected either, due to the rum permeating it. I didn't notice it as much as I did with Capistrano. It's ok.

And finally, Portola. I will preface this by sharing that I really like flavored tobacco vapes. Vanilla tobacco vapes, however, have done nothing for me so far. I wasn't expecting much from Portola and I got what I expected. My sense of smell is whacked, but I was really wanting to experience this room note y'all were posting about. All I can say is that my significant other and one of my dogs strongly opposed whenever I vaped it, lol.

So if I were grading on a 1 to 10 scale, I'd give Trabuco Vapors' line a 6. Muddled, but something in the juices are salvageable. I think if they were more distinguishable amongst themselves and somehow are able to lessen the rum extractions' effect on the flavor, it would be a step in the right direction.

I vaped these all in momma's new toy -- the Magma RDA, dual coiled with a 0.6 ohm total with a variable wattage device, between 11 and 19 watts. I used that trendy rayon wick also, ha. I really like how it holds up to high wattage as far as wicking is concerned.

Brobdingian, you're not the only one who can fill up a page in a thread with one post!

Awesome post B&J! I miss reading you, I should catch up on the Ahl thread one of these days. Well, not catch up since I'm sure I'm thousands of posts behind, but jump back in.

My experience with the samples of Trubaco that I tried are similar to yours. Blackstar I really liked, but not sure if it would stay that way after a few sessions. Capistrano was all rum to me, until I tried it again after it aged a bit and it was more like vomit. Portola didn't do anything for me, didn't get much flavor.

I'm jelly of your Magma! My next hardware spree will include a bunch of these newer drippers.

Welcome! Good choices from HHV. If they work great for ya, awesome. They may need some steep time before they click. If they don't work, plenty of other directions to try for NETs.

I'll have to revisit that the anyvap switched to theBCD with aspire coil (hard to rebuild). Even with the aerotank bas I found the draw insufficient. I think Dustmites idea of a simple dripper the best.

Apologies if this seems a bit mercenary... I suspect my NET.com juices will run out before their operations are back on track, and since it seems lead times are worsening, could I ask for any alternative recommendations with a similar flavor profile?

I have most of the NETs from RBFS, and enjoy them very much, but I would classify them as "clean" vapes, whereas NET.com has a more muddied, "dirty", earthy quality. (I enjoy both equally.)

For retail NETs, I'd suggest considering GoodEJuice.

An alternative would be to contact via PM any of four primary NET home extractors who are regular participants in this thread---johni, boomerdude, dustmight, or myself. I have 36 different natural tobacco extracts, and I think it's safe to say that my track record is very good, based on reactions from other thread participants who have vaped my NETs. One of the four of us can certainly set you up.

Boomer's Orlik juice is like the nectar of the gods. Give it about six to eight weeks of steeping. I vaped the whole bottle without touching anything else. It only took me two days to kill over 6ml. That was using a 2.0 ohm Kanger dual coil set up on an Evod battery for the majority of the vaping. So, a lot of puffing was done.

Regal, you may want to try a rebuildable dripping atomizer (RDA) if you haven't already. The Kayfun, IMO, is great for a tank system when the stars are aligned and Mercury is in retrograde after a waxing gibbous. I personally do not vape NETs in tanks as even re-wicking is too much of a hassle. The Kayfun especially can be frustrating to green horn builders as coiling, the height of the coils on the deck and wick placement are all very very important to even get the blessed thing to work properly. I drip NETs almost exclusively on an older I-GO W. The deck is super easy to build on and dry-burning and re-wicking takes mere minutes between vapes. I also picked up some cheap clear acrylic top caps from "Slowtec" so that I can see the status of my wicks and coils at any given time. My total expenditure on this set-up was about $22, and a bag of unbleached organic cotton balls run about $3 and provide you with wick for at least a year.

There was a time where I was convinced that tanks were the optimum choice for a satisfying extended vape session. NETs prove that to be a challenge due to their wonky relationship with hardware. I dove headlong into dripping after uttering too many words that would make a Longshoreman blush with the Kayfun. Any decent dripper on a vv/vw or even a mech will produce far superior flavor, and a more satisfying vape than any tank. Subjective opinion? Maybe. But my experience tells me otherwise.

I'll borrow words and adapt from the great Blue Oyster Cult.
"Baby, Don't fear the Dripper!"

Agree here, the dripper is usually the best way to go. Get one with a deep well and it'll last a good 30-40min drive without refilling.

I'm with ya, I enjoy having both styles on hand.

For the more muddle style similar to NETcom, definately GoodeJuice like Bill says. Must try for all NET vapers. QuickNicJuice would fall under that category too. Then we have Want2Vape, if you really want to get down and dirty, though some of them are also quite gunky. MountainOakVapor's are more crisp and clean like the RBFS NETs. All of these are A tier NET vendors.

EtherVapes is getting pretty good reports lately, and have some similar offerings as NETcom. Especially if you liked the black cavendish offerings from NETcom. I suppose I should ask, which juices from NETcom did you like?

Thank you, Jerms. Even with that novella, I still mistakenly left some information out, lol.

Like the tobacco impact and throat hit. All had a really smooth and present throat hit at 12mg and 6mg and I found them to be upper-lower to medium in impact, similar to Goodejuice. I'm attributing the throat hit to the build mostly.

They were also quite flavorful given that they are all VG. Not flavors I love, but you'll definitely taste them. I liked them best at 15 watts -- I generally like my vapes between 10 and 12 watts.

The Magma* is very easy to build on, plus it has bottom air flow similar to one of my all-time favorite drippers, the A7. It's just as quiet, also. It also holds a ton of juice (circa 40 drops) compared to other drippers. The cellucotton just lapped it right up, lol.

*But I still like the Atomic more, lol.

$16 (ft price) and I'll send you mine... FT gave me an RMA for it, but if you want it, I'll send it. Nothing wrong with it, I just liked the Origen v2 better.

Thanks, but not getting any hardware at this time, and haven't researched yet which companies are offering the best clones of the atties I want. FT isn't my fav place for drippers, mainly order mechs from them.

I tried about 15 of his juices. I loved all of the Single Varietals, plus Organic Spirit Black Cavendish.

I have these vendors on my to-try list. I did try Mountain Oak, which has a stellar reputation, but their juices struck my palate the wrong way.

Thanks for the recs!

That's why I've stayed away from dual coils, to hard to rebuild.
Got the Mini Davide version too, but it's hard to fill cause the fill holes are too small.
Other than that it works great.

Bought a Kanger Airflow Controller, (works on my Anyvape Davide too), great for more airflow because the air holes are external,
and the sealed 510 bottom keeps most of the juice off the battery terminal.
Can also drill out 1 hole if more air is wanted.
Hard to beat for 5-6 bucks on ebay.
