All over the place
Hi all,

It’s been so long since I’ve contributed to this forum. I have been busy with study, work and an active social life. Only the study has really served to prevent me from the quiet relaxing indulgences during pockets of spare time. I have finally finished this gruelling year of study as of yesterday and it’s a damn good feeling.

While I haven’t had much time to knock heads with vaping colleagues it hasn’t stopped me from trying new liquids and vaping devices. I have recently purchased a Rocket atomizer and Immortaliser from Fast Tech and both are providing new sensations in vaping. I had considered going for the original Kayfun Lite or the Russian 91% but I had come to the realization that over the last couple of years I was breaching one of the two major reasons I quit smoking and that was to save money. The other reason was to get my health back. Smoking no longer had a place in my life with the gym workouts, new outlook and social life. It seems every few months there is a new ‘game changer’ and new innovation in vaping. The vaping budget can quickly escalate to a habit that is more expensive than smoking cigarettes (and that’s saying something when a pack of 25 cigarettes costs $22 nowadays in Australia).

The rocket apparently (and annoyingly based on one Youtube review ) has just as good flavour and vapor as the Kayfun Lite and Russian. It’s cheaper and has noticeably cheaper parts but in functionality and performance it is apparently the same.

I have also purchased an Aspire BDC and a Protank Mini 2. These two clearomizers are upping the ante on clearomiser and glassomiser tanks and I would say the flavour that these devices produce is bridging the gap on repairable atomizers. The Aspire is a shockingly simple yet effective dual coil bottom coil and the flavour and vapor is outstanding. At $8.95 for the 3.5 ml tank one can’t go wrong.

I’ve been trying new liquids which have mostly been coming from Naturally-Extracted-Tobacco.com. Clay is on a mission to produce some fine liquids and I am still buying up everything he releases. The NS Dark seems to be similar to Big Spirit only with a flavour on the darker end of the spectrum as its namesake. The single varietals are outstanding. The smoked latakia is surely up there with the likes of Devil Dog and Apache. The flue cured burley is also amazing. The perique is my favourite out of the 3 or 4 naturally extracted periques out there. I find the GEJ perique too pungent in flavour which is probably a credit to the mastery of the extraction process of the vendor. The NET.com perique is easy to like and when mixed with the single varietal flue cured Virginia (VA-PER) turns into something magical.

In other news, I FINALLY got the mule order Chimps had organised for me. He put in a significant order for me from Ahlusion some 4 months ago and it mysteriously never arrived nor was returned. My Sweet Georgia Peach, Devil Dog, Sahara and Dulce Cubanito were missing in action and I resigned myself to perhaps never being able to try them. But after 4 months the package was returned to Chimps with no explanation given by the post office. Chimps re-posted it, this time with tracking and they arrived. Suffice it to say, it was worth the 4 months wait. The liquids are amazing. The SGP is everything everybody has been saying about it. It is almost like Devil Dog with a citrus twist.

I've tried Hangsens RY6 which is apparently a natural extraction or a composition of NET with synthetic tobacco flavour and it's not bad for Hangsen but difficult to have with the kinds of juices we have been spoiled with.

I have also tried Pluid. I won't even go there as this post has gone long, except to say it probably has the greatest flavor saturation of any liquid I've ever tried. It lingers on the palate long after the last vape and it feels wet on the inhale. Whether I like the aniseed flavour in the complex flavour profile is something I haven't made my mind up though.

One thing I would like to say about Heather’s Heavenly Vapes is that they disappointingly have started losing flavour after only 6 months. They didn’t have a great deal of flavour to begin with but what there was, was divine, like a flavour from some other ethereal world but over time the flavour has tapered off. I just wish I knew that would happen because I would have vaped them up sooner.

This has been one whopper of a post so thank you to anyone who read through it. I look forward to tracing back now to where I left off months ago and catching up with all the developments, opinions, new NET vendors, weekly dust ups and most of all how tastes and preferences are evolving amidst the super fast development of the industry with new atomizers, clearos, RBAS and NET vendors.

My life as a vaper has changed too, Ant, and considering my vapelight is off these days (forum and vaping) from around 8am-6pm, I am most glad I read your post before clocking out for the day.

My black Friday package finally came. This bagua clone is awesome. I got it for 25 cause of BF. the SS used is high quality, and the threads, finish and switch are so nice and smooth that I would have paid 35 for it; which is what its listed for. Only issue is the firing spring isn't strong enough. I also got some 26 & 27 wire and an aspire bdc. Haven't messed around with them at all because the Patriot is just so nice in the trident dual coil @ 1ohm with 30ga.

No pictures, but my Kanthal and Ekowool from Lightning Vapes should be here today or tomorrow.

I also splurged when 101Vape listed the Smoktech SCAR and SS Phoenix V4 back in stock yesterday morning. The site sold out by the end of the same day, and I am still waiting to see if it ships or if I'll be stuck with a store credit (I stated that the SCAR could be substituted with an IGO-W if stock was depleted). Still waiting to hear, since yesterday was a Sunday, and 101Vape is located in CA.

Received some surplus juices from Buffalo Bore (THANK YOU!!!) in my nicotine strength, which includes a few NETs and some M&P TA liquids, plus some artibaccos.

I am really astounded by ECF's, and this threads, contributors and their generosity and kindness!

Help already!
Well all I'm trying to do is alter the flavor a bit. Thanks for the nic tip on extracts. The 'harsh, nutty' example is MOV Gambler and so I thought if I could sweeten or cover the nuts a bit it would at least be more likeable. Rather than ignore it or give it away.

In this case I don't think the vaporizer was the problem. I kept a new, unused, Tabac BCC 2.5 ohm aside for this and used in on a regulated 3.7 volt kanger evod 650mah.
That combo would produce a bit milder, cooler hit if I recall correctly.

Thanks rdsok.

And here I was looking forward to trying it, but "nuttiness" isn't in my flavor profile.

I'll still wait to here more, but in the Really Big RY4 thread, it has also been mentioned. I'll hold out a little longer now.

The word on the street is that hazelnut is the nut element, if that makes a difference for you. I don't know if that makes a difference for me, my limited experience with nut notes in a juice hasn't been positive but I don't know if maybe some I'll like and some I won't. Cashew, walnut, peanut, hazelnut, almond... just haven't found out which may work for me in a vape juice.

I'm looking forward to see how I feel about Gambler, will be my first RY4 with a nut element. I'm really excited to try all of MOV's new artibaccos, Americano has impressed me extremely.

Despite my decision to quit buying vendor juices and stick to NET extracts, I had to take advantage of MOV BF sale. I never got around to Full Flake Virginia nor Apache. Got my three for' today. I gotta say that's some vanilla in the FFV! So far the Apache is making American Spirit seem like a sissy. :vapor: :) :thumb:

I would expect nothing less when comparing a full on pipe with a ciggy type... now compare it to something else with Latakia in the blend and it would be a fairer comparison

Yeah, like Balkan or Devil Dog. :)

I agree that the comparison is sort of apples-to-oranges, but many similar comparisons would be analogous, for instance, a porter stout versus a pilsener or medium lager, or, more specifically, something like Guinness Extra Stout versus Sam Adams Boston Lager.

It's not that Apache or Devil Dog are inherently better than American Spirit or Nat Sherman MCD NET eliquids. They're just way more intense.

I wish I was in the Himalaya's. Life's quests don't always take us to exotic places.

I've been enjoying the home made DIY extractions you sent me Boomerdude. Great juices. Your Kuba is exceptional. I still haven't mixed all of them. The leafy ones are special. I don't know how you get so much flavour out of the extracts. I think the monkey poo guy stole your recipe.

Good to see you back Anthony. You weren't off in the Himalaya's with Juicy were you?

How has it changed Mann? You mean your ECF life has changed or your vaping habits and liquids have changed?

I have been waiting to talk about it in its own thread, but there have been some adjustments in my vaping (through the help of some really good WTA) and I have been able to vape a few minutes in the morning prior to 8am and not again until after 6pm. I have also not posted on ECF through those times as well because ECF without vaping is like cornflake without the milk (for you, B_n_J!) LOL

I seriously have been giving my mod (I only have one, a ProVari) and computer's mouse to my wife when she leaves for work; I have been more than content just being with my little girl without vaping/posting. Now, don't get me wrong, when my wife gets home it takes me all of 2 seconds before the PV button gets pushed and I am logged back on, but my physical endurance has skyrocketed, I am not sneaking posts and vapes and I am feeling good just not having to be in "need" of something when I should otherwise be apathetic toward it.

Some may say all of that proves nothing since I am in essence "making" myself do without it, and if I really didn't need it then I could have it in front of me without vaping and posting--whatever, it's what works for me (to not have it in my reach). I have not bugged out, found myself itching for it or anything, though of course I occasionally think of the vape and what's going on in my fav threads.

Anyway, I am into my third week (M-F) for the majority of my day not vaping or posting.

Big Spirit-

Well I don't know what to say. I seem to love everything immediately, and then when the new shoe vibe wears off (alot shorter with e-liquid) I can get a more personal taste going. First off, I taste almost a saltwater. ...then it opens up into a green leafy-earthy ordeal... the vapor is great. The TH is solid. I have to laugh because when I got this I was reading somewhere about ferret piss, and the saltiness and the reference.....well....(not cool) however it is convincing me otherwise to be a nice, earthy, neutral vape. It's performance is stellar and lately, for me, that makes a good vape. Olives.......that is what I taste!!!!!!

I wrote this as honest as I could. Any feel similar or am I trippin?

Maybe more of a grass than an olive...?

If you focus hard enough, you'll taste grape soda! LOL. I say that because before I knew what was in Vita Bella, I remember saying (in this thread) I tasted apple and some kind of hickory or something--yep, I was tripping. LOL

Vendor: GoodeJuice
Liquid: Vita Bella
Vendor Description: Vita Bella is a Tobacco flavored treat that will whisk you away to another place. Made from Natural Tobacco, it's unique taste is slightly sweet with a full, rich Tobacco flavor that is exclusive to Goodejuice. If you only had to pick one flavor for the rest of your life, consider Vita Bella. It was designed to be so. This flavor is only available in a 50/50 PG/VG mix due to the extraction process. Also, only available in 6mg nicotine or higher.
Thoughts: Ever since the first time I tried this juice I have been enthralled with it. It is probably the most unique and hard to peg juice of GeJ's House Brewed Line. Those that are tobacco fans, but want a little more variety than the standard faire, would be well advised to add this to their stash.

Review: This is one of those juices where the flavor profile is a very evasive and mysterious--in the vendor description as well as in the actual taste. Yes, this is an extracted tobacco, but what particular leaves and region is unknown. The actual tobacco, whatever it is, is used more as a base to escort the additional flavorings. The base itself is rather mild and does not have much of forward presence; however, it's ability to mingle with the other flavors and exchange profiles is what makes this juice so wondrous. FYI, the tobacco is definitely there if you know what you are looking for, but it isn't going to jump out at you.

Most extracted tobaccos will have some type of vegetal quality, woodiness, earthiness, bite and or spice. Vita Bella only has a subtle earthiness and spice that is coming from the tobacco--the spice is more of a lingering note upon exhale and afterwards, whereas the earthiness is present throughout. The predominant flavors are slightly sweet, velvety and as elusive as any of the hard to describe juices that I have ever had. The sweetness is not remotely close to cloying, but it does present itself as in the sweet(er) juice category of extracted tobaccos. I want to say possibly vanilla, but only in the very broadest of senses--it has a creaminess relative to vanilla more than the taste itself. I am not saying this is a vanilla tobacco per se, but that is about as close to a comparison as I can give--even that is a stretch. That particular flavor that I am trying desperately to pinpoint possibly has a touch of almond milk-like flair with a subtle hint of a red delicious apple skin. (I am really reaching! LOL) Oh yeah, that reminds me, the color of the juice is very much like alizarin crimson, or like that of a transparent red delicious apple, but please don't expect to taste apple here.

My gawd, this juice is smooth beyond smooth. It is not a bold in-your-face juice at all, but is has such a coy character that to vape it is to chase it. I have an 18mg bottle that doesn't offer much in the way of hit, but while I vape it, TH is the furthest thing from my mind. So if you are a tobacco fan and would like to add some mystery to your line-up, give Vita Bella a shot. This is a staple in my stash!

p.s. Approximately two weeks aged juice for the review.

This is from September last year and maybe someone else brought up the hickory...

Wow, busy day on the awesomest thread on ECF!

Great review, Mann! I agree wholeheartedly. Vita Bella is a wonderful juice, and I just happen to be vaping it as we speak! :) It is a stand-out juice in an exceptional line. I have yet to be disappointed by GoodeJuice. Say, Mann, I don't get this with every puff, but do you ever get the slightest hint of hickory in Vita Bella? Silky smooth and deceptively complex is how I would classify this juice.

Alizarin crimson... you are a painter!

Oh yeah, it was my man, Tez.

I remember reading that MM. Made me scratch my head. I've been steeping 4 bottles of GeJ in a closed box and it smells terrific! Can't put my finger on the scent but it's nice.

That's what happens sometimes when we're left to wonder/wander. Back then it was just Vita Bella (we didn't really know). Not saying that it gives that long-reaching connection credence or justification, but damn! I knew it was vanilla-like, but there still seemed to be something more. Yes, even now VB tastes like more than just a tobacco+vanilla.

Maybe the "almond milk" bit is not so bad, but "apple skin"?
