Nothing more about DV, but it was likely someone really close to home (if not in house).
What the heck happened to DV?
They just up and went "poof" with no notice, no explanation . . .

The email said they stopped making juice when they didn't get an order from Eleanor in a while. What's the point? is what they said. Yep.![]()
For myself, I look forward to trying the new, re-mixed Chai Tea Latte, along with their other, non-affected flavors.
I had originally heard diacetyl is in cinnamon flavored juices? There's a warning on mbv web site about vaping cinnamon or does it have a separate dangerous chemical? Does anyone know?

That is indeed the problem that we can't know for sure as vapers that the ones that claim to be diacetyl free really are. I'm not sure what tests need to be done, but I'm guessing it's expensive and most vendors wouldn't have a way of doing the tests themselves. It helps to stay away from buttery and custard flavors, but now caramel is known to be a possible issue and who knows what else. Each vaper has to decide how careful they are going to be. My choice is I vape the occasional juice that has diacetyl substitutes even though they may have the same issues as diacetyl (occasional being my key word) and as long as a vendor isn't knowingly using diacetyl that's good enough for me, even if that may mean an ingredient could slip by. Some people are more diligent than me and avoid certain flavorings. The most cautious would just be to vape unflavored nic.
With vaping any flavored juice, we are taking unknown risks. Those risks are probably very small, are certainly worlds away from the risks of smoking, but it's still the one area in vaping that makes us sort of like guinnea pigs. Who knows, there may be an ingredient that's being commonly used that causes severe problems 30+ years down the line, we won't know for sure until vaping has been around that long. For me, the small but still possible risks of inhaling flavors isn't much of a concern, and the risk/reward ratio is overwhelmingly toward reward.
With something proven as harmful as diacetyl though, if a vendor says they knowingly use it, there's too much other choices for me to want to take that specific risk. If my only choice was to vape juices that contained known levels of it....... man that would tough because I don't know if I could quit vaping without going back to smoking.
One additional short comment:
As concerned as I am about the health issues in vaping, I'm not upset with MOV. Steve and Brandy (Brandi? well, Le Dean for short) are people with whom I've had nothing but friendly, pleasant, and productive interactions. I like them as people and as vendors. As far as I can tell, given what's publicly known so far, they have acted with impeccable integrity and commendable concern for the well-being of their customers. I'm not dissing anyone who might be angry with MOV, because that is an easily understandable reaction. I'm just reporting that I don't hold MOV responsible and applaud Steve and Le Dean's efforts to insure product safety.
I probably missed this, but how are ahlusion's JG Blend and Blue Grass Burley? Vapor production aren't too impt to me, but throat hit and flavor are. The more detailed the description the better!

HHV's NETs burn cleaner than [most] other vendors NETs. Depends on the NET, too. Generally, they are cleaner burning, but it also depends on your PG/VG ratio. 100% VG HHV will most likely gunk faster than 60/40.
I'm a fan of both vendors. I can go without HHV for months and forget about the company's juices. I vape something from Ahlusion every day. Most of the HHV juices I enjoy are its dessert tobaccos. Ahlusion excels in several areas -- tobaccos, teas, desserts, beverages, etc. The price difference is slight, in my opinion.
30ml Bottles
HHV: $13
Ahlusion: $16
50ml - 60ml Bottles
HHV 50ml: $21
Ahlusion 60ml: $28
Keep in mind that you get a 15% off coupon after every Ahlusion order, so the price difference becomes even lower. You also get a a free 10ml sample with orders over $20.
Steve mentioned in one of our email exchanges that they are expecting to have FVF RY4 reformulated and back on the shelves in 3 weeks.
Just passing along a little snippet of information.
Oh, and my two Southern Gentleman replacements for the FVF RY4 shipped today.![]()
I got 50pg/50vg ratio. I'm hoping that burns cleanly, and doesn't gunk up really bad after 1ml.
Does Ahlusion disclaim this 15% coupon after every order on their website? I must have looked in the wrong place because I couldn't find it.
Awesome!! The FVF RY4 was great. Just wish it had a stronger tobacco flavor instead of the dominant Vanilla. Just got notification about my shipping as well. They are sending me more Southern Gentleman, Outlaw, and Belgian Briar. I'm hearing good things about Outlaw.

In regards to diacetyl, when I first read the disclosure on MOVs Facebook page, I emailed Spinfuel Magazine expressing my concern (on Sunday night). Within an hour I had a reply from Dave Foster, the Adminstrator of Spinfuel's forum. They were not aware of the situation but would look into it. Today they published this article. The Cathy quoted is yours truly. Hopefully this can dispel some rumors and fears. We all choose to vape what we enjoy, just be aware of the ingredients and the integrity of the vendor. The vendors mentioned on this thread are all responsible, honest people who care about their customers, MOV included.

Back to Natural Tobaccos.....
