That "Bully" atty looks pretty nice. What's the airflow path? It's not obvious to me from the photos.

The only thing I don't like about my Smoktech (at least so far) is that the air inlet is mounted pretty low on the side and you can get a little leakage if you overfill. Fortunately, the long-assed wicks make this difficult to do.

There's a tiny air hole about half way up the chamber. I've heard the same complaints about those lower air holes. Not a problem with the Phoenix.

Oh Sharon, you ask 10 people and you'll get 10 opinions swearing from one end of the Earth to the other that their gig is the absolute best. So beware.

Here's my opinion...the simplest rebuildable atty is the Phoenix RBA/rda. There are three basic parts. The base with the pos/neg screws, a chamber, and a drip tip. Nothing fancy whatsoever and easy to rebuild with any kind of wicking media. They can be got (for example) here... Phoenix Bully Rebuildable Atomizer - RBA [gv-BullyAtomizer] - $10.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more for a measly $11. It provides a full flavor/feel as good as any rebuildable on the market. And yes, I have Genesis and Kayfuns for 10 times the price.

It's an excellent introductory device to RBAs. And there are plenty of us to help you rebuild it if you require help. Don't forget you will need wick and wire. But store-bought, 100% cotton works well. 30 ga Kanthal A-1 is good for making micro-coils.

Hey, that's the one I would recommend, because I only have the Phoenix v4 myself. Awesome little dripper for under ten bucks.

Grab the stainless, it'll be the better than the anodized, unless you like pretty colors :)

I haven't really used it much.. anything over 3w gave me a burnt taste, but that was on the coil that came from the factory. I haven't attempted a rebuild yet... Should I get some cotton and 30g kanthal for this one?

Homemade extractions? People do that? Gawd, I'd love to extract some Nat Sherman MCD; that was my favorite cigarette.

Loved Nat Sherman MCDs and Dunhill Fine Cuts (Japan) back in the day. I'm happy to say that I'm enjoying NET e-liquids more, but I would be curious about an MCD NET.

Not sure how Vita Bella can be accused of being sweet unless you're vaping it green. I find it to have a very heavy tobacco presence with that vanilla-like note to keep it from drying out. While lightly sweet perhaps, it is far from being SWEET in my opinion.

My only experience to date with VB is at 2 weeks old to 6 weeks old...and at that steepage it was definitely SWEET

I did. I have 120mls of homemade Nat Sherman MCD extract that I mix at about 15% for DIY NET juice. Very nice. I'm currently vaping it as a hybrid, mixed with one-third Liqua French Pipe (a synthetic). Oh my. It's so delicious.

as I live in a cluttered aparment, I probably won't be able to get into doing it myself. Same reason I never got into homebrewing beer, as appealing as it always seemed to me.

Home-brewing NET doesn't require much space, and no complicated equipment. All you need for Basic 101 Home-Brew NET is a burner, a pot, some water, coffee filters and a cone. Plus tobacco, of course. That's not to suggest that anyone should make his/her own NET, but it's easy. Easier than rebuilding/winding coils. LOL.

On the other hand, NEC (naturally-extracted coffee) turns out to be quite difficult. The process is just as easy, but good results (as an extract to make vaping juices) are elusive, to say the least. I'm still working on that one.

So I decided to vape Ahlusion Blue Grass Burley side by side with GEJ Organic #1. For many people's money, the BGB is the best straight up tobacco NET on the market. IMHO It comes down to BGB...along with W2V Louisville and London.

They are a little closer than I would have guessed, to be honest. BGB has a very distinctive taste as we know, it is also smokier and more hearty...and hits harder. To me it is a clear winner and I don;t need both in my rotation. That said, I will state again that i think Organic #1 is very clean, very good...and I recommend as an NET for the vaper just venturing into NET's. It is delightful in many ways and more approachable that any of the other top straight up NET tobacco vapes.

Yep, that's it. Get yourself some 30ga Kanthal and some 100% sterile cotton balls from the drug store. There are vids galore on youtube showing how to build a microcoil. Or ask one of us knuckleheads.

I won't do any build if it isn't a micro-coil these days. Standard 3/4 wraps just don't compare in terms of flavour.

I've just been getting into micro-coils and liking the performance so far. I like the idea of the cotton ball wick too. Easy to slip out and replace without having to rebuild the coil. With the gunky NETs I vape, this is important. And the puffy cotton ball wick ends are easy to stuff in the well as opposed to silica or standard cotton strand wick.

Bill, I really like the Smokeless tobacco American Blend from Liqua. Perhaps one of the closest analog-simulation synthetics out there. Good throat hit. I have been using it to mix some of Boomerdude's NET concentrates but it's good on its own as well.

Try the cold extraction method. You can do it in cups. I don't know enough about it but Boomerdude might be able to give you some advice.

Ahhhh, you're killin' me!

I'll study that extraction thread that was posted earlier (thanks!) but as I live in a cluttered aparment, I probably won't be able to get into doing it myself. Same reason I never got into homebrewing beer, as appealing as it always seemed to me.

So, I've been enjoying Vita Bella in a clearomizer but a few minutes ago, I dripped it for the first time.

Wow...

I gotta say, in several months of vaping and trying a few bits of hardware and a LOT of juices, this is the closest I've come to the feel and taste of smoking a good tobacco - but it's even better 'cause that acrid edge of burning leaves isn't there.

Yes. That rig is perfect for a micro-coil. I like it because it's stainless steel. The anodized aluminum you need to dremel off the inside anodizing so you don't poison yourself.
