Big J, you probably have only seen the extraction description under the Methodology tab on the website. If you click on a product, Coventry for instance, next to the options you can select, there is a faint question mark you can click on. If you click on the ? next to extraction type, a little blurb opens up, with what the differences to MY palate have been.
Also, Canned Wolf's review a few pages back is pretty interesting, and I'd say accurate. Heat vs Cold is very, very similar (he used 4 "very's") but there are subtle differences that many or most would be able to detect, particularly for us NET aficionados. While CannedWolf states that they are very, very similar, as I did, he also mentions that depending on the flavor/extract, he still does have a preference! Sometimes it's the Cold Maceration, sometimes it's the Heat extracted. I particularly like this review of his, because it points out that, though very similar in flavor profile, there are enough differences that one would still prefer one type over the other, AND it would depend on the particular flavor! This is spot on for what I have found. For instance, one of my favorites, Bombay, I prefer Heat extracted. Balkan, which also has Latakia in it, is a bit too spicy for my taste in the Heat extraction, so I actually prefer the Cold.
I have also noticed that the Cold Maceration is a little "cleaner" on your coils than the Heat extracted, which of course would make sense as less particulate matter from the plant material, tobacco in this case, is carried over into the extraction vehicle. This may not be much concern for you, as you have stated several times, that even the Heat extraction liquids you have been vaping, are amongst the cleanest around!
Also, as to not fully describing the process used for cold and heat extractions, well, we have to have SOME secrets to stay in business!
Thanks for the question!
