I know bro you always go over and above :) it very well could just be my taste buds though

I don't know whether to hope that's the case or not! If it is, odd that the black cherry was so flavorful to you right away just after. But we'll figure it out.

Clay, I'm going to get my order in within next couple of days. Got a couple of questions.

  • Is there an option to add Big Spirit & BA Mango Vanilla in with sample kits?
  • What does the Extra Strength for $.99 do? Is that a flavor shot or something?

Hi Ed, we currently only have Pipe and cigar sampler packs, so no, anything on the Miscellaneous tobaccos (Big Spirit) page, or on the Limited-Run Seasonal selections (Borescoped's "BA" Mango Vanilla) page are not available in the sampler pack. You can, however, purchase the sample size of 5 mL for either or both of these.

The extra extract is indeed an extra "shot" of extract so the flavor would be more pronounced. Not necessarily "better" but possibly so, depending on your individual preference. The "Regular" strength we use is how we prefer the taste, but since some people do prefer a stronger flavor, we offer it!

Okay. Cold Maceration is out for me then. LOL

Mr. Mann, FYI, the th, to me at least, is still usually ample in the cold maceration, just increased in the heat extracted version for any given eLiquid, in my opinion. However, if a STRONG TH is important to you, then yes, I recommend the heat, at least to start!

Was just thinking today, of other possible blends to suggest to Clay. Then I thought... "I wonder what HE'S thinking of possibly introducing in the future."

Any ideas you've been kicking around Clay? Perhaps we could help with suggestions on it? Or is that too presumptuous?

Also, was trying to think of other ways we could spread the word about his concoctions. Thoughts?

**Yes, trying to jumpstart the thread slightly LOL**

Borescoped, yes, several things are in the works this week in fact, first, the Single-leaf/varietals where I will be extracting Burley, dark-fired Burley, Perique, Latakia, sweet Brightleaf Virginia, and a Turkish tobacco, then experimenting with various blends to provide suggestions to our customers interested in blending these varietals. You will also be able to order them "pure" or not blended, i.e. just a burley, or just a perique, etc., and additionally, can request a blend of any or all of these at your own specification (I.E. whereas I might have a 10% perique, 15% latakia, 50% burley, 25% Virginia suggested blend, you may want to request a 20% perique with 80% burley).

Additionally, I will be exploring Uncle BJ's Blackberry Burley, and a few other ideas I am kicking around this week or next. Yes folks, a NET RY4 variant is sounding pretty appealing to me, and is something I would love to be able to offer to you!

Oh and I forgot to address the part about welcoming suggestions. Yes, please one and all, offer up ideas on things you'd like to see, as Borescoped and Big Juicy and a few others already have! I know what I like, and what flavors might interest me, but I'm not the target market, YOU are!

Clay,

The idea of having access to the varietals is pretty cool... That would add the ability to tweak a juice to fit a mood or even change a whole batch if you happen to really like the change. I don't recall whether it was the BA or the Black Cherry I was vaping on the other day after a hot day... but at the time I was thinking that an addition of a little bit of a brighter tobacco flavor note would have been cool to have at that time but I wouldn't want it that way all of the time either.

So I broke out BS and Black Cherry today

Black cherry is a home run right out of the mailbox, a great blend of tobacco and cherries. Not candy cherry either, a nice fresh real cherry flavor. I'm very impressed with this one. Great work Clay!

As for the BS, right now I'm not getting any mango or vanilla flavor. This one needs to steep for a little bit I'm guessing. It may be because its the big 60mL bottle or maybe it's just my taste buds, I'm not sure. I hope it's just needs steeping, I'm really wanting to taste the mango and vanilla. So I'm going to put it away for a week and try again.

I will definitely be getting a 60ml bottle of black cherry with my next order :)

Just got back from VapeXpo Ann Arbor, I spread the word of your site to a bunch of the guys there. You should consider making the trip to michigan next year. I'm sure your juice would be a big hit :)

MwSlim, I looked at your order's mixing notes and didn't see any obvious issues, so when you do get the chance show me what color the liquid is so we can figure out if the extract was either not added, or if perhaps I added the BS extract by mistake (it would be lighter in color than the mango vanilla, and have the very mild flavor you described). As soon as I got home, and after checking your order, I mixed up a fresh sample of the BA mango vanilla, and I definitely taste a creamy ripe mango, but, it is not as bold of a fruit flavor as the black cherry to my palate. It should still have a fruity flavor though!

And thanks for helping to spread the word about us at VapeXpo! It's greatly appreciated! I do plan to bring our products to some vape meets in the future, so thanks for informing me of this one! Let me know when it is next year, when it has been announced and I will try to get a vendor invite!

Thanks rd! I've been super excited to see how this facet of the business would turn out from the idea's inception, so tackling it over the next few weeks, months, or however long it takes to come up with something good has me giddy!

Can you order the Extra Strength shot on the side - in a separate container... just in case you want to add a little more boldness later on? That extra flavor shot AFTER steeping MIGHT be just be what the Doctor ordered. :)

May I suggest a Grape additive in one of the NET juices? There used a cheap Cigar that I would occasionally buy from a gas station while partying with friends. It was the Black n' Mild Grape. If you could perhaps get a similar taste (or even better) through some experiments ...might turn out to be a good one. If not, then it's ok. I'd rather you stay with mastering premium Cigar and Pipe flavors.

Can someone add some details about which NET will gunk up the coils, and how long you can go without having to do maintenance? I hear Clay's stuff burns pretty clean, and there's not much 'Gunking'.
Now, I don't mind some cleaning and dry burning. I know that's just a process we have to accept. But was wondering how the ol' cleaning scenario fits in.

Brilliant option to have!

Personally, I could see having a bottle of each, and adding drops to a medium sized rebuildable dripper, like someone may layer a pipe with different tobaccos (they do that right? Never actually smoked a pipe). Few drops of Virginia, couple drops of Burley, couple drops of Perique, topped with a drop or two of Latakia. The juice would of course blend a bit in the dripper, but different flavors would be stronger as it's vaped. Would be fun to play with... whoops, to much Latakia, better add some Virginia to smooth it out.

You've got a great idea going there Jerms! I figured some people would want to order one or two of the pure varietals, but in my head I was thinking these customers would just want to vape a straight burley or Turkish for instance. Your layering scenario here is just so brilliant! And, it just gave me an easier method for testing various combinations/blends, I have to shout THANK YOU from atop the highest mountain here in Iowa! But seeing as how it's 6 am, and the house is asleep and there are no mountains, instead I will whisper it softly into the wind... Seriously Jerms, thanks bud!

Hmm, I really don't know, the color is right. Do me a favor and try it again today and tomorrow to check those taste buds, and if still nothing, I have an idea on how to fix it, well one of several ways to go, so keep me updated and by Tuesday night, email, pm, or post here if anything has changed on the flavor you're (not) picking up. It could be the extra shot of extract is what is needed.

A side car of extract for when you need the extra punch, lol, we can do that for ya. If you end up ordering a 30 mL bottle or bigger, you'll need to order a 5 mL of extract itself, but if you're talking just one 5 mL eLiquid like from a sampler pack, for which you'd like a side of extra extract for one flavor I can do that. You can add order notes and just say "flavor shot for "x" on the side."

if you're wanting more than one, like for each flavor you order, let me know and I will add an option to the website to include paying for the bottles required.
