Ok, I've been trying NETCOM Coventry, Chris' Blend and Dover Court. All cold 70/30 12mg. My favorite is C'sB, followed by Coventry. I don't really care for Dover Court. It's just a bit too strong. I got Coventry and C'sBlend Heat for my 2 samplers. I'm sorry to say, but I get a strong mothball taste. It's toned down from when it was fresh ~30 days ago, but still there and very unpleasant. Clay, why is this? Are you using moth balls in the heat extraction?

Please don't think I'm dissing you or NETCOM. I'm just trying to find out w tf I'm tasting that and if others are, too. And yes, it is moth balls I'm tasting. Do you use mothballs in your house? If so, that's a strong link.

This worries me a bit because I ordered a 30ml of Big Spirit. Which is only available in 'Heat'. I'll reserve judgment until I try it. And I AM excited to try it along with the Mango Vanilla I ordered. :D

The Virginia has really bloomed in Chris's Blend, as has the Cavendish. I assume it's a type of vanilla Cavendish, but I could be wrong on that.

Coventry is actually a fairly similar liquid although I like C'sB more. I prefer the Turkish in C'sB over the Burley in Coventry. But they'll both be vaped up rather quickly. Oh, for those wondering it took a ~1 month for these to start coming around. I assume if you steep them for 3+ months magic will happen.

Clay, did you understand that my sample request was 'cold extraction' gold? I just put cold gold but after I clicked order I thought maybe that wasn't really clear.

Ok...

Went for the BS MV first. I had saved a brand new Killer a friend prepped and loaded up for me on a never used (to me) and massive EPM V1 18650 mahogany pipe. Glory, right? I dropped the battery in, secured the button...and before I even pushed it the button got super hot. I have no idea what this means but I did not even to fire it. I had to rush out of the office before I could check it out so grabbed the killer and tank to try on another device tonight. I hope the attie didn't short, because I left the juice at work so this tank is all I have for now.

Then I went for the Black Cherry on my new favorite pipe, gifted to me out of nowhere my an ECF friend. Cold maceration 18mg on a 3.7 v pipe with 1.8 oHm on the mini vivi nova.

I really like it. Definitely a difference between cherry and BLACK cherry and this juice gets it right. NETCOM signature smoothness and good balance. Almost too smooth for me so I will likely go with the heat next time around. The cherry is nice...very tasty and fresh, it is forefront but not overwhelming and leaves me wanting more which it should. I keep chasing that cherry flavor. This is a good thing, well balanced. The tobacco presence is...a bit weak. It seems like a base to this juice. For me, I want big time tobacco front and center with cherry weave and finish. Here the tobacco is just underneath. Actually, despite over all really liking this juice, I find myself wanting more flavor across the boards. Not even so much a different balance of flavor just MORE flavor. I seem like I am fighting to get a really full flavor out of this and so while I like what there is of it I want a hell of a lot more and so it is falling a bit flat :(. Overall I really like this and will vape it all day and into the night. Maybe it just needs to steep a bit to blossom in a more robust, full flavored juice? I hope so because twice the flavor plus a stronger tobacco punch would potentially launch this into a top 5 juice for me. Right now I am fighting too hard to taste this juice and it is really frustrating me...especially since what IS there is really good. Anyone else have similar experience or thoughts?

Shat, man I am sorry to hear that you are getting such a horrible taste from those liquids! It's really distressing to hear that after you had such high praise from them on your first initial review (post #75 or something if I recall correctly). I can assure you, we do NOT have moth balls anywhere in the house, so I really don't know what could be causing that taste for you. Yours is really the first negative review (though y cherry y's initial impression was hardly complimentary, as he said something like "there isn't much there", at least unsteeped) we've had.

So that bad taste is diminishing then with the steeping? I'm a little confused by your post, as you say they taste like mothballs, that is diminishing but still there, and then say that they won't last long as you will vape them rather quickly? Regardless, I am sad to hear that you haven't liked them as much as others seem to have so far. Especially as you were our very first customer!

As far as what goes into any of our current tobacco e-Liquids:
1) tobacco
2) nicotine in either USP grade PG or pure VG
3) pure USP-grade PG
4) pure VG

and that's it! No idea where that strange taste could be coming from, unless the tobacco itself. I am sorry though that these are disappointing to you, I would love for all of our customers to be impressed, not just at first taste, but for the duration of the liquid!

I certainly hope the Big Spirit and the Mango Vanilla you ordered a few days back taste VERY difrferently to you, so far the reviews have been largely positive!

And yes, the Cold Gold you put in the order notes was plenty clear my friend!

Thanks for your post even though it isn't a happy one, as I've stated a few times, we want honest appraisals, and we don't expect everyone to like our offerings by any means. Mothballs though...I'll be damned! : (

Big Juicy, hey my man, glad you like the flavor but sorry to hear it's a little flat for you. I do think several things could help: 1) heat extraction versus the cold we only had available at the time; 2) extra extract for added flavor "shot"; 3) as you indicated, steeping could very well benefit as well. The tobacco presence may also be more pronounced in the heat extract as well. Combine all three, maybe it will be perfectly what you want it to be, or too much? LOL remains to be seen!

Thanks Big Juicy, I do hope that steeps well for you though, and that you enjoy the mango vanilla once you get your equipment working again!

No, no. The mothball liquid will not be vaped. When I first got it, when I opened the package I smelled mothballs it was so strong. Now I only notice them while squeezing the bottle for a smell or re-trying them. Like I said, it's not as strong but still very noticeable.

I'd gladly send you the two bottles so you can see exactly what I'm referring to. It's rather strange.

I have faith in BS and Mango 'nilla. I also just put in a third order for Black Cavendish and Chewbacco. The Chewbacco has me extremely curious. Is it a real chew tobacco or a 'dip'?

Not necessary Shatner, I totally believe you, but also like you have no idea where that flavor is coming from, no one else has said anything like that, and I certainly have not experienced this, or I'd have pulled it before anyone else could order it!

The chewbacco, is of course, longcut or whatever it's called chewing tobacco, not dip. I've never liked dip, and I have no idea what's in that stuff, but it's not just tobacco! doesn't taste like tobacco to me!

I am in total agreement with you on the Dover Court. It is a bit too strong for me as well. However, Coventry ranks higher in my book than Chris's Blend. And, no, I did not let them steep. :)

I am afraid that my palate is not sophisticated enough to distinguish the difference in the type of tobacco. And, I prefer the cold maceration as well. Although I did not taste the moth balls you did.

Oh wait Shatner, are you saying the only one that really has the strong mothball taste is Dover Court then?

Thanks for clarifying.

Norman, Ok
Ok... not to downplay what Shatner is saying his is tasting or smelling...

Of the NET's I've vaped that contained Latakia in them ( from 3 different vendors ) I tasted something that is similar to what an iodine disinfectant soap smells like to me... I have seen no one else mention anything like that previously. I am not saying there is any Latakia in Dover Court or anything like that... I'm just pointing out sometimes certain people taste something that no one else tastes. I get nothing similar to what Shatner mentioned in any of the juices I've tried, it may just be something he is sensitive to.

No, both hot Dover and Coventry.

Can't wait to try proper hot NETCOM.

And Skoal, Grizzly and even Snus is just tobacco, as long as you don't get the flavored stuff.

That may be the problem, I had flavored stuff and didn't care for it? Not sure, was so long ago that I've tried dip. My real problem with it is low oral motor tone, just couldn't keep it from falling apart all over my mouth! LOL
If you're interested in a dip flavor, let me know! I'm certain it could be done!

Pretty sure it's not the extract though, I just smelled the unmixed extract and it smells really good, to me! And the ones I mixed a bit ago taste fine as well. The only other thing I can think of is that some of the bottles we got in (you purchased glass I see) had some sort of residue in them? That seems the most likely to me, as the PG and VG and PG nicotine base was used on many other orders, and no one else is getting that taste. So weird, and I really wish I knew what is causing it in your liquids.

EDIT: Ok I see now that you ordered cold maceration, but the free samples we included were the heat for comparison. So those were in plastic, but my theory still stands! lol
