Well, I knew it was only a battery device, just trying to be rhetorical. The VAMO is still working, but fires intermittently. I get two or three good hits then it miss fires. Getting more frequent as time goes by.

I understand I could get 5 VAMOs for the price of one Provari, but that's also 4 shipping bills I won't have to pay! ;)

One of the bigger issues seen with the Vamo's are that so many companies are making them and few of the resellers are saying which brand it is they are selling.... they certainly aren't all using the same QC level ( if any ). The one's I've got are made by Vision and I haven't had an issue with either one.

Got my second order today (order number 500... shouldn't there be a prize for that ?;)). Fire-cured Burley is fantastic. Smokey and STRONG. Looking forward to trying out Coventry, Choctaw, and of course, BJ's Blackberry. I haven't liked any fruit tobaccos I have tried so far, but I have a good feeling about this one.

Thanks for the great products and service, Clay.

Thanks for your input, rdsok. Cloning can be a problem with a lot of the electronic gear out of China. I got mine from Health Cabin and it had this problem from the get go. (Don't know why I didn't send it back for a replacement then.) Their web site has it listed as an eGo Bamboo VV/VW APV V3. Mine was the black chrome V2 which does not have the detachable head.

I've got several Twists and Spinners from the same vender that have work flawlessly over the past year. (A couple are just now starting to lose their ability to hold a charge, which was expected.) Actually surprised they lasted this long.

I was thinking of this just before going to bed... I remembered that the first releases of the Vision Vamo v2 had issues with a weak spring. I looked at your link and notice they are selling replacement end caps with springs.

See if you have another spring in another mod or from somewhere that you can "borrow" and use it in the Vamo to see if the issue goes away or not. If it helps.... then this link may also help Free Replacement spring for the Vamo, fixes the warming in the end cap caused by high resistance wire.

Received my 60ml reload of Big Spirit, along with 15ml jugs of Black Cavendish, Balkan and Coventry, plus sample of Fire Cured Burley, this afternoon. For me, "patience" and "steeping" are mutually exclusive. So, anybody, please chime in here. I have enough BS to hold me for a few days, but how long do I wanna wait before trying the others? I can almost hear the Balkan and Cavendish whispering "now, now..."

I'm in the same boat with you... I received my order 3 days ago and I haven't tried any of them yet. But I'm doing a smell test every day. Today, 3rd day, I started getting some interesting light tobacco like aromas out of the bottles. I think tomorrow I'll go for it -- It'll be either Big Spirit, Gold or the 3-Crown :)... I just cleaned a tank for the BIG day!

Thanks for the link, rdsok. I had talked with HC about the spring way back then and sent pictures and all. They said the spring I got was the new replacement to supposedly fix the problem. Mayhap it's loosening up again. I'd forgotten about that till your post. I think I have a spare spring somewhere and I'll see if that helps. :toast:

Edit: Yes, I noticed that too. It's not free any longer. Just wondering how much postage it would be to Thailand - may have to pad that order to make it worth my while. :D

Sorry to be using up this thread for hardware glitches, Clay, but can't enjoy your juices if we don't have a reliable delivery device. :D

Taking the caps off both my VAMOs I see they are not equipped with the same spring. The one I'm having problems with is the black chrome one on the left. The shorty on the right has other glitches I'll not get into here. I'm swapping the gold spring over to the Chrome one to see if it helps alleviate the misfire problem.

Notice in the second pic, the chrome cap has a raised post in the center. That's where the flimsy bad spring fastened to - it was quite a bit smaller/narrower than both these shown.

Anyhoo, we'll see how she rolls with the gold spring... In the few minutes it has taken to post this it hasn't misfired yet. I have a nipple top 18650 in there now, I'll see what it does with a flattop in a while.

Yeah, the VAMO I got from ExhaleVapors a while back when they came with a crappy "defective" spring which was replaced. When I ordered it EV gave me the option of sending me the VAMO with the crappy spring and then sending me the replacement spring when it came in, and I did that. The crappy spring worked, but the replacement gold spring is much better. Until I got the replacement, I stretched out the crappy spring to make sure it kept a solid connection.

The time came about 2 hours ago. Checked the mail box, and my order arrived. I skipped along to the house to open the package (much like an excited child of Christmas Day). Inside... I knew she awaited me. She looked pretty in the new NET label. And then she said... "You know you want me! I'm the best! The others can wait." I said ..."I sures as hell do honey. Been waiting for you for awhile!" We wrestled around for a bit as she found her way to the AGA-T2. The moment had come. I pressed the fire button, and her scent fumigated the room with a wonderful smell!

She has me at first vape again. How could I have ever thought about cheating on Black Cavendish. She's so charming, seductive, and devilishly good! I shall never be without her again.

Speaking of vapemail...I got some! When you have a NET named after you, it requires its own dedicated setup...

He'll be getting a new Aspire setup next week....right when my Uncle BJ's comes in.

BJ, I got a sample of Blackberry Burley. Smells VERY good and tempting. Will have to wait though. Black Cavendish has my every thought.

I just got mine yesterday and tried it tonight... Really good without steeping to me. Here are my thoughts on it from the NET thread:

Tonight I am sampling BJ's Blackberry Burley. I typically don't care for fruit tobaccos. This one is actually really good! The blackberry is right up front, but not overbearing. After that I'm getting the delicious burley. Overall very balanced... Would go great with a cup of coffee.
