I've had my Nautilus for a month now. The 1.8 coil that came with the unit lasted 2 days and just stopped working. The 1.6 last 5 days.

I ordered a pack of replacement 1.8's. Each on has lasted about 7-10 days so far. I think I could push some of the coils longer if I wanted too, but the flavor was suffering a bit so I didn't bother.

Every now and then when I change the liquid, wicking might suffer at first, so I tank off the tank, primer the coil and don't over tighten the tank. Second, since I stopped filling the tank to 5ml, wicking is much better. I try to fill it to 4ml and refill when it's starts getting a under 3ml.

So with the 1.8 head, keeping it filled between 3ml and 4ml, occasional liquid primers on the coil and proper use of the smallest air hole to make sure liquid is pulled into the coil, the Nautilus has to be the best vaping device I have ever used.

My main vape is a Backwoods Brew 70/30 mix.

Just curious what the point of a 5ml tank is if you only use it for about 2ml of consumption in the middle of the tank? Mine was way too much of a POS to fiddle with it. I prefer a system I can just fill and go. I'm way to busy to deal with hassles.

This was for people getting dry hits, for those that are not, that's fine use it however. I can vape for hours without having to top it off if I use it this way. It doesn't leak, the liquid doesn't seem to go bad and the vape is great. This is how I use it and get a good vape. If this experience with the heads stays constant, I will be wasting less liquid and going through fewer heads than my previous clearomizer. So I will be saving money as well. I'm pretty happy so far.

Ive had one of these since tuesday night, running on a Spire at 10.5 watts or 4 volts, been testing it and the spire. The two heads it came with were crap, fine for two draws then funky nasty semi burnt whack flavor on both. Ive tried all power/volt settings I can think of, getting wisps of vape, flavor is there though. Ive tried all air hole settings. The flavor is deadly sin which is a 70/30 pg/vg mix. I've yet to make it through a full tank because the vape is almost unbearable. :( I've got a 1.8 blister pack head in right now. Hopefully it gets better, this is going to be a birthday present for a friend tomorrow!!

Just got mine today. It is okay, works perfectly fine, but it has a very weird flavor to it. Almost like it is slightly burnt (but the coil head is new, haven't tried the other one it came with yet).

Maybe it is because I'm so use to cotton wicks and these are silica, if I'm not mistaken. Not really enjoying the funkiness it gives off though.

EDIT: Switched coils, works fine now.

I really love the Nautilus when the coils are working good. I had 4 out of 5 coils be no good in my last 5 pack and 2 out of 5 so far from this 5 pack. I have the 3rd priming right now and am hoping I get a good one. I know that the coils are legit as well. It's very frustrating paying good money for junk coils. I may have to start using other clearos for a while til they get this issue resolved. It's too bad though because the tank itself is a quality unit and I really do like it.

In a van ............down by the river
Here's an off topic.

In the base, on the positive connection, do yours just have a spring with no cover?

The reason I'm asking is that I was involved in a group buy and we all got clones/counterfeits and the bottom pin had a cover over the spring.

I'm just wondering if the legit Nautilus is supposed to have the cover or not.

It's easy to check, the positive connector can just be pulled out.

On topic, I'm having issues with the heads as some of you are, as well.
They seem to be hit and miss with great flavor, but not as much vapor as opposed to say a Kanger eVod.

Just out of curiousity, what volts or watts are you running your 1.6 and 1.8's at?

I run a 1.8 ohm coil head at 7 watts. I found the 1.8 ohm can only go to about 9.5 watts without burning.

As far as I can tell, no cover on the spring. Mine checked out as an authentic one on the Aspire website with the security code.

I was able to exchange my faulty coil head at the B&M. Really hoping I don't continue to have this issue. The coil heads for this are ridiculously pricey.

Ok I just literally had a whole 5 pack and not a single one of them performed how they should. So much so that I bought an Aero tank base for my pro tank and have been using that because I can't afford to keep throwing money at the Nautilus. I am not into rebuilding yet and am still pretty intimidated by it. I wish I knew someone locally that did rebuilding and I'd pay them to rebuild all these junk coils I have. When working correctly the Nautilus blows my other clearos out of the water but when not working correctly I don't even like using it.
