Nautilus mini and nic strength

Today I am officially 2 weeks cigarette-free! (20 years - 1/2 PAD) Yippee! Longest I've ever gone, and I know this time is for good! It's actually been pretty easy - thanks to vaping :)

I am currently using an evod battery with disposable clearos (Ce4, T2 etc). Left over from my sister. I have just ordered the variable watt iPow2 battery and am planning to get a nautilus mini to go with it.

Now, my question.

I am currently using 12mg liquid most of the time (sometimes an 18mg when I feel I "need" it for nic fix or extra throat hit and when I need to chain vape (for hand/mouth fix) I use a 6mg or lower... just to keep from getting too much nic.)

When I switch to the nautilus mini should I continue with the same strength(s)? Or go lower? (I've heard some of the newer equipment delivers better...) Thoughts? Experiences?

Thanks so much! I have spent a lot of time here reading the forums, I have learned so much :)

Thanks for the quick response, advice and the welcome :)

Yes, planning on the 1.8 coil. I've read nothing but good things about it! I'm really excited to try it!

My only problem is that I tend to vape a variety of flavours throughout the day (to keep things interesting and keep the mind off the "old habit") so I tend to carry about 4 clearos with my battery everywhere I go. I certainly am not buying 4 nautilus! haha! May still have to carry a few cheapies... or find an awesome all day flavour. Still looking for my favourite. So far I'm really liking anything citrus (lime being my fav right now)

Hello @HappyJupiter, welcome to the forum and congrats on your journey. I am "guessing" that you'll end up dropping the nic a level as the Nautilus is so much better than the CE4's. Since you have different levels you might make do with what you have and see how you do with it. I certainly wouldn't panic or worry at this point, you're doing great.

I started at 12 mg and kept a cheap clearo of 18 handy as well. :) The first two weeks shocked me as it was so painless to quit. After a month I started dropping the nic in small steps to reach zero less than a year later.

One common trick we use is taking a bottle of nicotine juice and buying the same flavor in a zero nic. Combine the two equally and it will cut the nic in half. 1 part 12 mg + 1 part ZERO nic = 2 parts 6 mg.

I started a juice quest in 2015... and still haven't found an all day vape, though I have a few flavors I will vape for hours.

Good luck!

Hi and welcome. I think you'll be fine with the 12mg juice, certainly to start. You'll know if you start getting too much nic, and you can cut it down then. Whatever you decide regarding carrying extra clearos to change flavors, your idea of one with strong juice to stave off cravings is a good one. You might want to keep that up until you're sure you don't need it any more.

With sub ohming you will have to cut your nic level.

It has been a long time since i used a nautilus mini. But it was not sub ohm. 1.2 ohms if memory serves

I used 12mg in Evods, T series Kangers, Protanks, iClears, - all of them.

I swapped to mini Nautilus and just kept on 12mg with about 2 or 3 more watts in power to get them really 'going'/Vaping well.

I have 3 (maybe 4) Nautilus and certainly wouldn't recommend buying them all at once. Aspire stuff is expensive. (That's why I don't buy anything else they sell)

You can get 4 GS tanks for the price of 2 mini Nautilus. I know which one is better, too.

Fabulous! Thanks for all the input guys! Very helpful. I feel like I can purchase it, fill it and vape with confidence now :) Super excited to get a few extra watts on my vape, I feel like I need a little "more oomph" (just like you said @djsvapour)

The other thing I'm looking forward to with the variable watts is that I can use any resistance tanks and get the same "hit". I have a few left over 2.5ohm coils and they are pathetic with the evod battery. Like 5 watts... just feels like breathing, even with higher nicotine. Def need more throat hit to satisfy! The 1.8 with my evod is better, but I still feel like it needs a more hehe

Thanks again everyone! Great place for info and advice and friendly support!

Stick with what you're using now. I switched from CE4 clearos to the nautilus mini and as long as you run at the same voltages 3.7 to 4.2 (I vape 8.5 to 9 W typically) the vapor should be fine for you at your Nic levels. You might want to consider the Triton Mini, uses the same 1.6 and 1.8 nautilus coils and is top fill. I prefer it over my Nauties.
