Hi all, I just ordered an Aspire Nautilus mini, and I was wondering how strong the pyrex tank is. I currently have a Smok PBC V2 which is also pyrex, but it is inside of a plastic outer tank. It has taken multiple drops like a champ, however I am concerned that the unprotected Nautilus tank could break if it were dropped.

Has anyone had a Nautilus tank break from dropping it? And should I perhaps order one of the stainless steel replacement tanks for it just to be safe? Or are these things strong enough that I shouldn't be so worried?

Thanks in advance.

Believe it or not, i have two nautilus mini's, i put the stainless replacement tank on both thinking that it would help the durability of them, i have the mesh style one( i cant remember the proper name unfortunately) and the T style. I dropped the t style once and the glass shattered, but ive dropped the original on the same floor more times than i would have liked and it's still going haha.

Evape.us has the mini stainless T window sleeve for $7.95. In addition to the added protection, its much easier to unscrew the base. No more channellocks and a towel to break it loose.

This is why I use the SS tanks on all my mini Nautilus bases. The pyrex gets taken off immediately and stored away. I haven't dropped one so I can't attest to how well they protect, but when I use the glass tank it is so hard to unscrew that I feel like the pressure of my hand holding the glass is going to shatter it. With the steel sleeve you can grip it very tightly without worrying about breaking the glass when unscrewing. Plus, the look really cool all dressed up with different drip tips :)
