Update: tried turning it on with boyfriend's tank, still no dice. Gave both a good cleaning. The battery still shows itself as charging but that's all it'll give me. I guess we have to get a new one??? It wouldn't be a big deal if we hadn't uprooted our lives two weeks ago to live in a van in the mountains and none of the nearest towns have vape stores. Go, us!

That does make it a bit difficult, but yes it sounds like this needs replacement.

As I said in my previous post, this may be a good lesson to make sure you have at least a cheapo battery hanging around as a back-up. The saying goes "one is as good as none and two as is good as one" or something to that effect for exactly this reason! I know I'm repeating myself but a VV eGo-style battery would work great with the nautilus mini if anything should happen to your replacement... or if you just both want to vape at the same time.

I'm sorry that we couldn't give you better news and a small part of me still thinks it might spring back to life, but it doesn't really sound like it. If there's no vape shop nearby anyway, do you have an address or PO-Box you can have things sent to? You clearly have an Internet connection sometimes if you're able to come on here and it will definitely be less expensive to buy online.

Good luck! Let us know if you need any more help, especially if you decide not to get another iStick 30W. I stand by my previous comment that it might be worth getting a 40W TC as it appears to be barely any more money and will be more versatile.

Hi! I'd really appreciate some of your battery recommendations to pair with the Naut mini.

Hi! I'd really appreciate some of your battery recommendations to pair with the Naut mini.

No problem! The truth is, there are a lot of inexpensive but good batteries/mods available right now that are right in the 30Ws price range, will do just fine with the Nautilus Mini, and also have the ability to do much more. As I already mentioned a couple of times, I think a VV/VW cheapo eGo battery would be great to keep as a back-up and will work swimmingly with a Naut Mini, but it may not be the best for a primary device based on what you've been using. It also depends on if your boyfriend and you continue to share a device and what kind of tank he's using. What kind of tank IS he using?

That said, off the top of my head (probably with some repetitions from my previous posts): iStick 40W TC, istick Mini 20W (very tiny!), and the Innokin Coolfire IV spring to mind immediately. All of these have built-in batteries and can be purchased for $40 or less. I also have a Smok XPro M80 which I quite enjoy, but is much more than needed for a Nautilus Mini. However, these days it's easy to find for around $50, also has a built in battery, and a good deal more power than the others if you eventually decide you want more. I think one of the first three is probably your best bet, but they are by no means the only options.

Innokin's iTaste MVP line is also very popular and the 20W version is now inexpensive and would be great with a Nautilus... but it's quite a bit larger than an iStick and incapable of sub-ohming, which may or may not be important to you. (The iStick Mini 20W is also incapable of subohming, but again will work very nicely with a Nautilus.) Lastly, the Innokin Disrupter is a newer device and pretty neat-looking. It has been getting good reviews so far but I can't speak to how it works personally.

I know that might be a bit much so I'll end it by saying that based on what you're coming from and depending on your price point, I would probably go with the Coolfire IV or iStick 40W TC. Both of these will work well with a Nautilus Mini, have the ability to do at least a bit more than the iStick 30W should you ever want it, but aren't so powerful or advanced that you will have to pay for wattage or modes you may never use.

Good luck! let us know if you need any other assistance :)
