Hi, new guy here, just got the aspire nautilus, worked great, then leaked. Realized to close airhole before screwing bottom assembly on to tank. Worked fine, woke up next day, had a little juice at airhole, assumed it was leftover spilled juice. Hit it, vaped fine, hit it again, really warm tasted like crap. Hit it again, burned my finger on magneto button, quickly took got battery out and buried it in my yard for now haha since I had to leave for work. What caused the short possibly? Thanks guys

Got a short somewhere. First place I'd look is at the spring load center pin on the Nautilus. It could of gone off kilter and rubbed up against the 510 connector threads causing a short, when tightening. Other than that, possible a popped coil wire, check on ohm meter to see.

Bummer though. glad she didn't blow. Good luck and might want to lose that battery. Speaking of batteries, what are you using? Hopefully a high drain IMR 30 amp battery or better, if using something else, not IMR, then that could be the culprit and simply demanding to many amps and bat went into current overrun. Doubtful, but could happen.

Yeah AW IMR 18490, don't have a vv/vw but ohm reader and volt tester. Fresh battery, tested 1.6 ohms before assembly. I'm wondering if I tilted the center tube off kilter when filling up with juice causing the atomizer to not thread properly? I have one good battery left and scared to use it. I'm wondering if as long as I use the ohm reader before inserting it onto magneto and it reads the ohms then everything is connecting properly unless the bad connection is from the tank to magneto? Smh...
