Nautilus tank will not open!

i have two each of regular nautis and minis. I can not get any of them unscrewed! What am I doing wrong? I almost took the pliers to them. Any tricks or tips? Thank you in advance.

Stick them in the freezer for a while, works a treat!

I Will! Never even dawned on me to do that. I am guessing not for too long? Will,the glass break if it freezes?

Rubber gloves or one of those rubber jar opener thingy's.

Elastic band on the glass for grip.

The rubber jar opener didn't work.. I bought one just for this purpose. I will try the rubber band though. After the freezer. LOL. Thank you.

I ain't no expert but an hour would do, plus open with rubber gloves or a vape band on the tank

I've seen the bottom gasket/seal be actually stuck to the glass. It may stick to the glass when opened and damage the seal. Hope not!

Put them in the fridge for 20 minutes and two of them came right off. The other ones wouldn't open so they are in the freezer. Wish me luck! LOL. Great tip. thank you!

don't tighten it down so much, just barely snug. a lot of folks had this prob back in the day when they were new.

Solved already I see, but my method was a latex glove around the base to protect and careful use of vice grips. Plenty of grip and leverage to get it off easily and carefully. They are a tool worth their weight in gold.

I've only had this twice but I got a tip on this forum - in £1.00 shops they sell silicone/rubber type netting mats as sink protectors to go under basins - cut a strip off of this and use it around the bit of the attie that unscrews - it really works and I always keep a small bit of it in my vaping case, "just in case"
