I've sent this exact same post to a couple people, but decided to post it here so maybe I can get a couple different opinions and different views on it.(and I'm wanting to use it! I know their are some videos out there but I always like to come to e-c-f first! Here we go....

I recently purchased the nautilus (clone I'm guessing hell idk, all I know is I chose the one with the plastic tank at it cost $65 I think). Anyway, which one did I get?(they called it the nautilus, cant remember if they said clone or not, their arent any serial, numbers on it, at least that i see, or names of any kind...)and what is the difference in the 3?(oddy clone/terminator-c/Nautilus)

.....and the wicking is wayyyyyy different than my gg's and genesis style rba's....what is the best way to wick it? And what is the best thickness of silica to use? I have 2mm and 3mm(I think maybe its 2.5 but its a lot thicker than the 2mm)

....also 32mm or 28-30mm kanthal?

....and any good videos out there I should watch? I'm looking at the rba now and I'm not sure where the hell to put the 2 ends of the kanthal! Lol

sorry for all the questions lol! Thanks in advance!

Where did you buy it from? $65 is what Stormysvaporcellar sells the Terminator C for.

You may find this post from dw helpful regarding Naut/Term/Clone:

Here's a good video for setting up a Terminator C... which is an Oddy clone. Important to remember is that you should NOT connect the negative leg of the NR wire like Junkyrock13 does in the vid (trapping it between the ring and housing). This causes leaks. You should wrap it bunched up a little around the channel wick so that it rubs against the housing when you screw it in to make the connection.

If you determin whether it's a V1 or V2, use 2mm for V1, and 3mm for V2. Many like to add an extra piece of silica at the coil only. Good luck.

I have a $29 Cody that works flawlessly. Just got a $60 Terminator V2 and I can't seem to stop it from leaking from the center post. I have no idea what I am doing wrong or if this thing is just a POS. I find no video or discussion helpful. This came with a 6th O ring under the nut in the ceramic cup, which I have never seen anywhere. So the center post has an O ring in the cup under the nut, a flat plastic O ring under the cup then an O ring between the bottom nut and the base.

Someone with a V2 please help me. I can't read a 100+ page thread.

It's largely dependent on how far you screw the ceramic housing into the 510 base. You should have (in my experience anyway) about 1mm sticking out of the 510 threads. This assures that the o-ring is seated well in the base.

My Euforia came with the o-ring in the ceramic. I don't use it (I actually burned it on the stove, but that's another issue), and I don't use one in my Term-C. I'd remove it.

Also read the posts just a couple pages back on flooding and leaking.

I'm a relative noob when it comes to the Term V2, or RBA's at all for that matter. But the following tips have been helpful for me:

Close the juice control before loosening the top nut and removing the top cap for filling.

Make sure the top O-ring (between the top cap and top nut, around the mouthpiece) sits nicely and isn't mangled somehow, every time before screwing down the top nut.

Make sure the top nut is tight on the top cap before opening the juice control.

Don't leave lots of extra wick at the bottom - trim it at or just above the bottom of the center post.

Trapping the negative connection under the knurled ring has caused leakage for some. There are alternate ways of making the negative connection, but I haven't used or needed them.

I've read the entire thread, as I'm sure many other Oddy clone owners have. :) Folks don't mind helping out.. but to be constantly repeating the same info over and over in the same thread is part of the reason it's 100+ pages.. ;) Not trying to be a smartass, but many make the time to read and learn if they're interested enough..

3/4 of every thread is useless and non-informative. So is the search engine here. And, I was wrong, it's over 210 pages. One person on the last page said he spent 3 days reading it. I just don't have that amount of time.

Searching the Oddy clone thread took 0.03 seconds. I searched under "leaking center post", and came up with 19 posts.. (narrows the field huh? ;) ) Most all of them have info which more than likely will help your issue. :)
