This week I got a pretty new nautilus with pink glass. I normally drip or use a genesis but wanted something glass that wouldn't leak and didn't need a lot of maintenance. (Yeah, I know, kayfun is the popular choice, but I didn't see a glass option. Anyway...) I also wanted adjustable airflow. I have a ProTank 2 with an adjustable base and it does a pretty good job, but I wanted an extra option so I got the nautilus after seeing some good reviews.

First issue... tasted awful. I had to wash it 4 times and try 2 coil heads before I could get a nasty metallic taste off it. Now the darn thing floods and gurgles like crazy. The only fix is turning it upside-down every few hits and keeping the airflow open farther than I'd like. Very annoying. I have about 3ml of 70/30 liquid in it. Normally I use 50/50. Maybe that will work better?

Any tips or tricks for this thing? I feel like I wasted my money *sigh*

I have heard of counterfeits out there, I hope you didn't get one. I can only suggest general stuff to do concerning BCC's; check that the head is tight, check all of the o-rings, etc. Oh yeah, verify the serial number on the box at the website to make sure it's a real one. Everyone I know who has a Nautilus has been very happy with it, and they have given them no problems. Good luck.

It is authentic. Everything looks fine as far as I can tell. I'm assuming it's a new batch because I could get the colored glass.

I don't know what the deal is with it. Maybe it's just the thinner juice. Hopefully the problem will go away when I fill it again. When it's working properly I love it. If only it would work for more than a few minutes. :( I'm just getting in the habit of turning it over every few puffs. Just hope I don't drop it with all the fidgeting.

I hope not either but that may be the case. Mine took a little to really start working good as well although I didn't get any gargling or leaking. I spent some time cleaning the excess juice from the chimney and below the drip tip which seemed to help. I'm about five tanks into using it and it's working nicely.

Which coil is in it? I have read that there has been many issues with the 1.8 that came with it...lots of leaking issues. I've not heard of one coming with colored glass...clear only.

It's the 1.8 head. It is doing much better. Took about 24 hours of use to get to this point though. Boo.

I think the colored glass is new for the kits. You can get them as replacements too. It is authentic and it was purchased locally at an authorized reseller.
