I actually perfer 1.8 to about 2.4 i am using higher only because these are easy cartos to replace and thow away as my juice is not really that good, and the added benefit that the higher omhs is making the batter last longer in my robust. So the thickness of the yarn isnt going to make much difference? What about size of wire, i noticed the drunker comes installed and all the replacements are with nichrome wire is kanthal gonna hurt it? I also cant seem to find a gauge on the nichrome that is preinstalled. Just asked him his meter thing it reads ohms or voltage but its not digital its a needle at least the one here is, he has a digital one at work.

Well, you may want to stick to the 30 or 32 gauge kanthal, to keep to that range while still keeping about 4 or 5 coils for the surface area. You can use kanthal, as it wont hurt anything. It's just a different type/name of heating element.

coolies, still a little overwhelmed but we shall see when it gets here... the prewrapped coils, you think those will have issues or should i test em on the meter first before i use them?

Test them and make sure they are at the resistance you want..if not, you could always trim. They shouldn't cause any problems though
