    in a cave, eh?
Yeah, that works. The Ego battery runs at 3.4 volts vs. 4.2 volts for your Echo. So an Ego setup would give you a cooler vape than your regular setup.

You could also look at a manual version of your Echo battery. I know there's a manual version of the Echo-E battery that's compatible with 510 or 306 atomizers for dripping.

Beyond that, madvapes has a relatively cheap variable volt box mod (available in DIY or pre-assembled) if you were looking to try out mods at some point. It's not cheaper than a manual battery plus an atomizer and drip tip, though.

Maybe Im just not getting this, but ya why not just buy a spare battery and some attys/lr attys(and drip tip) you already have the charger right? Unless your talking about varying the voltage to see how they vape? I have specific attys designated for coffee, tobacco, cinnamon (not really a menthol guy but maybe one for that and mints) and an everything atty lol and spares of course

bobsyeruncle is right madvapes is cheap for a box mod, or variable but you still have to buy a charger and some batteries (which are cheap too) everything adds up though

echo comes with a usb passthrough right?

my opinion, if you must buy something is another cheap (manual) echo (or comparable i dont know the specs on your charger)battery that takes a passthrough and use that with some attys. LR attys may not give you the flavor you are looking for, but try it.....

Why not just cut a carto and pull the filler out? Nothing cheaper than that.

because my echo batterys are auto... even though theres no reports of them leaking i dont wanna take the chance . also i cant just buy another echo e battery cuz thus i will still have to buy a diffrent charger seeing as they are diffrent. all i need is somthing that is simple and easy to use to i may just go the passthrough route or maybe just a ego with lr and drip tip

If you want to test at LR then you need a fat battery, its charger, atomizer, drip tip. It might be cheapest just to buy a Riva Lite Bundle at Liberty-Flights (if you have pressed the 20% off on front page that is under $30 for 2 complete Rivas with I think 2.2ohm attys). Then you could sell one of them (or just the battery) to someone else in classifieds if you want.

If you can swing it, I second the notion of a good mod. Battery replacement is so much more wallet friendly and you're not tethered to anything. I picked the e-power and I'm happy with it, so naturally I'm recommending it to everyone lol. The noego is a similar shaped mod and it's been getting good reviews as well.

Strong points of the e-power: Modular design, 510 connection, 1300mah replacement battery runs ~6.50. At less that 50 for a complete kit, it's a lot of bang for the buck in my opinion.

Whatever you get, I recommend trying the ce2r5 cartos. Yes, they're still a pita in a lot of ways, but well worth adding to your equipment list imho. Just be sure and match the ohms to your device and watch a few videos to get in mind how you're going to deal with them. I recommend the 2.4 ~ 2.6 for 3.4 to 3.7 volt devices.

Keep us posted on what you get and how it goes. :vapor:

306 atty screws right on 510 threads. I use a standard resistance 306 on a manual (totally sealed) slim 510 - needs a 306 drip tip that goes over the 306 exposed bridge atty). Fat 510-threaded batteries can use LR 306.

Re mods - sure if you shop around you can find handmade $15-25 3.7v box mod. But then you have to add atty ($6-7), and buy the industrial batteries (about $5 apiece for protected Ultrafires), and the charger for them (about $12) so you are definitely above the cost of a Riva kit

thank you guys for your help i think imma just go with the riva lite kit just for the sake of price. like i said not looking to replace me ECHO because i love it. might also order some type of mod as well just so i can see what they are all about. and i was just gonna try to naked drip on my old Blu for the fact that i dont care if that thing breaks but i seem to have lost the atty for it lol o well.
