TI's PTN04050C seems to be good, has 4 pins for soldering, no pcb needed. Check out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/178144-44-mini-booster-box-mod.html

I used one of those with one 26650 and it works great. Gummy used it with a 18650 and that's where I got the idea and he was kind enough to help me out with mine and even offered counseling but it was to late.....lol

oh cool i didnt realize i can use the 4050c with a single cell . Great i just got 3 samples in the mail yesterday from TI as well as a ton of other chips . Looks like the 4050 it is . ANy other chips though . I got a few others that are real small but i do have access to pcb fabrication ,rework station and a reflow oven .

I actually knew i had the 4050's coming in so i made up PCB's for them to hold the extra components .2 caps ,resistors and diode with inputs and outputs on board

Now to find a sweet tube . Maybe ill go copper for this one since i have a feeling it will be my primary PV although im loving my okr-t6 VV box mod . After vaping at 5v i almost cant even use my riva 510 now .I think i will also add a charging circuit into it since i can with this single cell mod as well as built in voltage meter with possibly digital pot. This booster's gonna have all the bell, whistles and horns .

Does anyone make a nice momentary switch with a clear diffused rubber or silicone button ? I hate the way regular switches look and want to add some style . I want something like the riva 510 button which is diffused and illuminated in blue . If not anyone make any other nice looking small switches?

I took apart an old corded telephone handset to get the rubber button "caps" that are all part of a sheet of rubber. I cut up the sheet and use one rubber button on the side of a box with a tactile switch behind it.

I realize you are looking for a lighted switch which this isn't, but I figured I would throw the idea out there.

I will take pics if anyone wants them

Interesting . Pics . Most use diffused clear buttons too so they should be able to be backlit .Im sure i can find some nice buttons out of something somewhere . Was mainly gonna use higher amp switches though but if i find somthing nice ill use a tact .

This is how the phone looks taken apart, I dont have the rest of it anymore. The grey part is rubber, and is what is behind the numbered buttons. The two white lights are what lit up the buttons.

And this is what the bottom looks like. You can see where I cut one of the button parts off for a mod.

I left a flange around the button I cut out so that it would mount inside a box with just the center sticking out, making it look like this...

I'm a complete noob modding and I'm having kind of a hard time arranging the parts on the pcb I have to make it as small as possible. I'm trying to put it in a copper pipe mod. Would you be interested in selling one of those?

Thanks,
Greg
