I read a post by Steve of V4L that new batteries should be charged for 8 hrs. That's now what I'm trying to do. The indicator light says the battery is charged (after less than an hour) and is now green. Do I keep the charge on the battery regardless of the light color? What I don't know is if the charger auto-stops charging when the color changes. Thanks for any help/advice.

I suppose he might have been posting about the old batteries then. So I don't need an 8 hr initial charge? Thanks doots.

I got throough to customer support via phone and they also said the 8hr charge was for the old batteries, and once the light turnes green it's charged. I just want to make sure I get the best battery life possible and the info was confusing.

No Problem Maxwell.. I have never charged a battery 8 hours because the charger will not keep charging that long before shutoff to green light.
I haven't had any problems with batts in 2 years doing it my way.. lol, you can leave them in the charger for 8 hours but I don't see what good it will bring..

Yeah LOL - I amended my last post as I reached customer service. He was talking about the old batteries. Just being careful.
