Ok I went to my local smoke shop and picked up the e-cig. I have been trying to find the model but its unlabled. It's in a white box. Labled E-Cigarette -Create Healthy Life- It is black with the green LED at the bottom it came with 4 cartridges, im not sure if its a 3part or a 2 part, it unscrews to charge the battery to change the cart you just pull it off....anyway I don't feel there is a lot of vap coming from it and it doesn't last long. Plus this will get pretty hot if using it for more than 4 or 5 min enough to burn your lips. Should I take it back and get a different one? I noticed that when i pulled the cart off the filler was stuck to the atomizer...but i had only took maybe 10 drags off of the thing. Im just wondering if i got ripped off..and the strength is 24mg. I charged it last night and tried it this morning and it hit a good few times but it acts like it gets too hot and dries the cart out.

Okay, first off you do not use a PV the same way you would smoke a cigarette.

With a PV you just suck gently until your mouth is full of vapor then inhale it.
Then you set the PV aside so more liquid can wick onto the bridge/heater of the atomizer. This may take a couple of minutes.
You also need this time to allow the atomizer to cool down.
Then you repeat.

Give this a try and see what happens.

This is how most start, you didn't get ripped off of you end up getting something good and putting down cigarettes. I'm a high volt 801 type, but many swear by the 510 including my wife. The only down side to the 510 for most is battery life, so starting out with a custom battery might be a good idea. Almost everyone goes through at least a couple of different set ups before they find what works best for them. Welcome to the forum, good luck and enjoy the voyage! :)

If you pulled the cart off and the filler was sticking to it, then you must have a 3-piece model, because with a 2-piece model you can't pull it apart and see the filler material that easily.

By the way, to keep the filler from sticking to it, avoid twisting the cartridge once you have attached it to the atomizer. Just push the cartridge straight on, and pull it straight off without twisting.

As for the other issues, read this excerpt from the thread linked in my signature below...

Dry atomizers, flooded atomizers, and wicking
Basically, you want to keep your atomizer happy with plenty of juice, but not too much as to flood it.

A good sign that it's flooded is that it gets a little harder to draw on and you get little or no vapor.
Flooding it, however, won't hurt it at all, and you can just blow out the extra juice.

Letting it get too dry, on the other hand, is not good for the atomizer supposedly.
But regardless of whether it is bad for the atomizer or not, you still don't want to do it.

You can tell it is too dry when it starts to taste like crap.
A nasty sort of burnt plastic type of taste.

One reason it might get too dry is if you burn through the juice faster than it can wick up more.
That is why people experiment with different kinds of filler materials to use in their cartridges.

If you take only a drag or two every now and then, you should be fine.
But if you use these like a cigarette, the wicking process will have trouble keeping up.
There are ways to deal with this, and people have different methods that work better for them.

And of course, when the cartridge is running low on juice, it needs topping off for this reason.

You're definitely letting it get too hot if the filler is sticking, and yes, what the others said while I was typing. :) Also, those cartridges won't last all that long and if you keep going on it after it gets so dry, you'll burn out your atomizer. Yes, there is a learning curve with these, but without really knowing your model it's hard to say if you got ripped off or not. If they sell bottles of liquid, you might want to get one.

Yes looks like the one you linked me to. But its just black nothin fancy. I would say i was trying to suck on it like a regular cig lol. There is no instructions that came with the box. However I find it chokes me up pretty bad and is kind of harsh and my throat ends up feeling sore after? Some of this is common? I am thinking the cart is too strong I only smoked maybe a pack every other day and when i smoke i would only smoke half of a cig and its 24mg cart. I get kinda woozy after a few vaps. The lady said the cart would last for around 2 packs of cigs which i really think its close to half a pack? It does not last long and they are $3.00 for cart. I doubt they sell liquid but I can check. Anyone know if the m401 is refillable?

24mg strength can be pretty harsh for many people.

and my throat ends up feeling sore after?
PG is a humectant and will dry you out, so you probably need to drink more liquids.

Yes, 24mg is very likely too much for you.

The lady said the cart would last for around 2 packs of cigs which i really think its close to half a pack?
It's probably closer to about 5 cigarettes.

It does not last long and they are $3.00 for cart.
Don't buy those, just refill them with your own juice.

I doubt they sell liquid but I can check.
You don't need to buy it from them, and probably shouldn't even if you could.
Any of the vendors listed on this forum would probably be better.

Anyone know if the m401 is refillable?
Every electronic cigarette is refillable.

personally I would just take it back and get a nice 510 or 808 both can use cartomizers which is much easier in my opinion for newer vapers.what is more simple pop the little white cap put in the liquid put the cap back on and vape for a few hours..I never tried 808's but i have had a couple different 510's now and love cartomizers.never really cared for dripping or carts.but you really have to find out what you like from personal exsperience everyone likes a driffrent style vape.

And if you would find yourself liking the atomizer and cartridges better the 510 has plenty of option for atomizers from low resistance to high.
