Hello everyone. I am new to this forum, however not so new to E-cigs. I've been purchasing them off and on for well over two years, now. I have been free from analogs for over a year and feel like I've tried many different types of ecigs.

I started with some very strange models shipped to me from China several years ago. These were completely awful, however they got me hooked. From there I've been working my way up. About 4 months ago, I purchased an Ego and the Type B Tank system with low resistance atomizers .... just wow. Great vapor, awesome battery life, incredible tastes from the juice that I hadn't noticed with other ecigs. I loved it. After two weeks of use, it started to leak randomly. Most tanks would last me almost two days but every third or so would mostly just leak out of the ecig and into my pocket within three or four hours. It is very frustrating because it makes my pants wet and because it wastes juice.

I have watched every video I can find on "adjusting the wick" within the ego atomizers, however, even when I don't destroy the atomizer, it never works the way the videos suggest that it should. Tonight I am actually using 510 atomizers on my ego battery because I am that sick of the leaks. The flavor is dull and the vapor production is lack luster. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried countless things to try to prevent the leaks - all with no luck. I have tried new tanks, new atomizers, using an old atomizer to puncture new tanks (so that it won't mess up the wick), I even have a syringe for filling the tanks so I never have to pop the bottom cap off. I also clean the tank/atomizer as a set before I refill by soaking in a glass of water for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, it all ends up the same way - it leaks. Sometimes the first tank, sometimes the 2nd, but it always starts to leak again. I want so badly to make this work without leaks.

Does anyone have any other thoughts or ideas as to how to get my ego to stop leaking ?

Do the type A tanks and atomizers have similar leaking problems ?

Please and thank you. I have been pulling my hair out over this.

Yes, I did buy some plastic tank caps from TW. I was super excited about it, but, unfortunately, it did not make any difference. I've also tried changing my "vaping style" in an attempt to not "flood" the atomizer. People have suggested that I draw for half a second after releasing the button. That didn't seem to make any difference, either. Thanks for the replies, though.

The only thing left , is your draw . If you draw too hard , it can leak . other than that , you have done everything possible . You might want to check out madvapes site . They have some new dual coil (big) cartomizers , especially forEgos . They are supposed to work very well , and not prone to leaking , as long as you don't over fill them . I used to use an Ego , myself , and occasionally , the tank would leak . I finally went to LR cartomizers , and never looked back . My wife now uses the Ego , as I have moved on to mods . But good luck . Oh , and there are clear cartomizers , out there , if you want to see how much juice , you have left .

Ricanrod - I love madvapes. That's where I usually get my juice from, though recently, in an attempt to prevent leaking, I have switched to pure VG juice, to make it thicker and less prone to leakage. I will give the dual coil cartomizers a try.

I just wanted to take a second and say something that I don't think gets said enough around here:

This forum is awesome.

The amount of community here is so refreshing. People actually care and are concerned with your posts. I think my only regret so far is not being more actively involved in this community. E-cig forums has helped me kick the analog habit and saved my life - and my wife's, too! We both now use only ecigs and feel so much better because of it.

Thank you. Honestly and sincerely. Thank you.

    in a cave, eh?
Good luck with the VG. Ego atomizers are said to clog on pure VG. If you notice your Ego getting really warm after just a few hits, you'll need to clean out the atomizer and reduce the VG content.

I have the Type A tanks and they are said to leak less than the Type B tanks. There is also a silicone sleeve available that fits over the tank that's supposed to help. But, you are always going to get some leakage with Ego tanks.

You could also try Boge LR or SmokTech Dual-Coil cartomizers on your Ego battery. They really bring the flavour out and don't have the problems of the tank system.

I use the B tanks and have not had any leaking issues but I did wien I was using the A's. I have noticed that is you keep them in your pocket for an extended period of time, the juice gets warm and will beging to leak. I would suggest that, if possible, not keep it in your pocket as long.

Do you notice that it starts to leak when the tank is getting low on juice or does it do it when full? I notice when I was using the A's that when it got to about a quarter fo a tank it would start to leak.
