I haven't even started my new favorite habit, but I've tried it enough to know I'm hooked. I have a 510 kit on the way for my wife but I decided to go big on mine. I need some help on which model and why, I know they all have fans so speak to why you love yours.

My requirements are not to crazy. I want it to be 510 compatible so I can buy atomizers and carts in bulk for my wife and myself. I want it to be solid and work flawlessly, yet still portable enough to fit in my pocket in a case. I don't mind maintenance as long as its not every day. I don't want to wait a month for it to be built for me. I also don't think I want to mess with high voltage just yet, 3.7v seems to work just fine for most and will work for me too.

I'm looking at the Icon, ProVape, and maybe the Joye eGo.

Questions for the Icon users. Does the battery rattle around? Can you use a protected battery in it, if so which one? I heard the AW IMR 14500 fit but can anyone confirm? Does the spring fall out like the Prodigy v3?

Questions for the ProVape users. Does the switch start feeling "loose" after heavy use? Hows the battery life on it? Do you feel it was worth the high price tag?

The Ego I'm pretty comfortable with the information I have so I don't need much feedback. I'm really into handmade stuff from the US though, and I like supporting small business. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi J808, :)

Your choice depends on several parameters. If you were a "big smoker" i think a mod could a clever choice. Because "the hit" is very important for this kind of smoker.

If not, you can easily beguin with an Ego (Janty) or Tornado (Totally wicked) : they are the same mod with just different logos.

The new evolution of this eCig with XL batteries and mega carto brings a very good alternative to mods.

If you want to see many kind of mods, i've just created two photos albums with many many mods found all around the world. Some of them are prototype or not available yet. But most are quite wellknown and can be bought.

If you are oriented "mods" you can join us to the social group :
The mod club too.

Good luck in you future choice...

Joel

I would recommend giving the Little Sister some consideration..for a couple reasons.

First, the price is right....$64.99. Variable voltage....if you like 3.7v you can do that, if you decide you want more, you can do that too with an easy adjustment. Some juices taste better at different volts...and your tastes might change too. Batteries....one thing I'm realizing as I get more into vaping is how much replacement batteries are going to cost. Stuff the ego/Riva are good, but their batteries are specialized and will cost you $20+ to replace. A mod like the Little Sister uses standard 10440 rechargeables that you can buy from numerous places for 1/2 that price for 2 of them.

I think overall it's just a bargain in the long run to go with something like this.

Questions for the Icon users. Does the battery rattle around? Not after stretching the spring a little. Can you use a protected battery in it, if so which one? Yes, remove washers from under contact screw. I heard the AW IMR 14500 fit but can anyone confirm? YES. Does the spring fall out like the Prodigy v3? Sorry don't have a V3-- the right spring shouldn't, mine don't.

Questions for the ProVape users. Does the switch start feeling "loose" after heavy use? Hows the battery life on it? Do you feel it was worth the high price tag?

Hope that helped.:D

If you want a box mod, I would highly suggest a Bartleby.
I have had mine for a couple of weeks now and LOVE IT.
Battery lasts all day, USB Passthrough and it puts out 3.7v pitch perfect every time. With a cig lighter USB adapter (under $10) and a usb cord, you can vape all day in the car and the battery will always be charged when you get out.
I have been vaping a LOT since getting my Bart and some 510 cartos.
This is a great little device that I easily fits in my pocket (with a on/off switch so it doesn't accidently get activated).

I have a Riva on the way (should be here Monday/Tuesday) for around the house, but the Bart is my new best friend when out and about.

I havent tried the ego yet, But for now Im a srewdriver guy (trog). When I want a boost, I use a LR atty. I have adaptors for 510 if I like, but prefer 901 on it. I also like my flavor. Extra batteries are small, its fits in the hand well, easy button, and I love chrome. Next order im getting some egos though to test out.
