I am having coil trouble ---

Was using a Kanger Subnox nano with the square coils for a long time.

Purchased a toptank nano and use the new ssocc coils - the NC ones and the SS ones and I tried the clapton ones - I only use wattage mode.

Recently purchased a Kanger Mini C and using the ssocc SS ones.

I had the bright idea that life would be much easier if they all could use the same coils and I thought that the regular subbox nano could take the ssocc coils.

If I put the clapton or NC round coils or the ones marked ss in the subbox nano bottom fill tank - it will not work with my subbox nano - I actually have 2 subbox nanos a pink and a purple and I have 3 bottom fill nano tanks and the tanks with the round coils will not work on either of the subbox nano boxes. I get the 9999's

If I put the bottom fill tanks on the toptank nano it works.

So.....my questions are -
-- Why do none of the round ssocc coils work on the subbox nano?
-- Are there any that do?
I believe that all of my equipment and coils are authentic and I am stumped.

Thanks for any help!

Because there is nearly zero standardization of drop in coils. Things very very rarely fit other things they are not meant for. Mostly because $$$ I suspect. It’s so bad that I suspect that if manger found out you could do the simple change you made that does work they would change it so it wouldn’t in the future :/

This is one reason why I don’t use drop in coils and wrap my own. Wire is standardized.

The Big Baby Beast comes with a nice little RBA.

The JoyeTech Ego CLR coils come rebuildable.

The Kanger Juppi is a rewickable system that's easy to work with.

You already found the Subtank/Toptank RBA.

An easy RTA to work with is the Serpent Mini.

I have the nano - then I bought the top tank nano and now the mini C so it would be super easy for me if they used the same coil. The strange thing is the old bottom fill nano tanks with the new round new SSOCC coils do work on my newer top fill nano box but not the old box ----I will get some squares as backup but my plan of uniformity is not working...lol
